ENZO's POV By noon, I had passed the sitting room twice. Both times, Nina and Luca were still talking. They had been at it since morning, and apparently had no intention of stopping anytime soon. I stood near the doorway for a moment, watching them. Nina looked different with Luca around. Lighter. She smiled more. She spoke freely. Whatever walls she’d put up since waking seemed to disappear whenever her brother was beside her. With me, it was different. Since she woke up, we hadn’t talked about us. Not once.
