Chapter Six

Whoa! This was becoming intense from just a simple conversation.

"And you believe this is true? How?"

He relaxed back on his seat as he stared at her, his eyes seemed to be shinning, maybe it was the sun. He answered her question with a deep voice that had her suppressing a moan and clutching her legs together. "I know that because I have seen them" he waited for her to say something, when she said nothing he continued. "You may not believe me but I have seen them and they are really peaceful and interesting creatures"

She cleared her throat "If what you are saying is true and you have indeed seen them where are they now?" she challenged.

"Dead" he replied with emotion. "They are all dead and I blame myself for that " she waited for him to continue but she saw her wasn't going to reveal more. She could see the intense pain and deep regret in his eyes.

"I'm sorry, but why are you telling me all this. I mean you don't even know me".

"I may not know you now but I will" He stood up and leaned forward as he cupped her face in his hands, his eyes blazing with intensity. He kissed her on the lips, a very soft and fleeting kiss. But she felt it to her inner core.

And then he left as suddenly as he came.

She stared out in space in a state of utter confusion. Her hands went to her lips and touched it softly. He kissed her. "He" kissed her. The sexy-very-goodlooking-totally-drop-dead-gorgeous-guy kissed her. The ladies who witnessed this scene felt their world crumbs. If a guy like this has kissed them they would chased him down. In fact they began to question their lives. Alyssia was in a dilemma. She didn't know if she should be in cloud nine or if she should be mad or if she should be worried.

Nacen seemed like a casual guy but she had the feeling that there was more to him. When she looked into his eyes, she could feel and intense world in his eyes. It was as if he wanted her to discover something without saying him saying it to her. And also the "werewolves" he spoke about , it was like he wanted her to accept the existence of them. She was ready to believe anyway as she also secretly believed in the supernatural. She felt that this matter wasn't simple neither was it over. And the speaking of the kiss, she blushed a bright red on her cheeks. She looked around in case anyone saw her expression and quickly continued to eat. The kiss wasn't deep, neither did it last long but it seemed to convey a lot of messages. The care, possessiveness, want and listen she felt in the kiss greatly alarmed her. But oh God, she wanted him to kiss her again and deeper and longer next time. What was she saying. She shook her head. Like he would want to kiss her again.

"Hey Alyssia" she heard her name and recognized it voice. God she didn't feel like talking to him right now. She raised her head and smiled "Hey Daniel"

Daniel sat down on the seat Nacen sat on not long ago and her eyes flashed with a little bit of resentment. That's Nacen's seat. If Daniel noticed it he hid it well.

"We meet again, it seems we are fated huh?"

"I doubt it" She answered with a weak smile. Someone already said that so it wasn't surprising anymore.

He laughed as if what she said was funny. He leaned back and said "So I was wondering if you would like to hang out with me sometime. You know to get to know each other better."

"Oh erm I don't think I can do that right now . Maybe next time" She said as she packed her things "see you next time" She left.

Daniel watched her as she left . He didn't stop her from leaving. He knew her type. Girls like her liked to play hard to get. He could play the same game. What girl wouldn't want him as their man. He was rich, handsome and strong. What else could they ask for? Well he looked around and saw some ladies looking at him. He sneered, since he didn't bag this one he should go and play with some available little fishes.

Alyssia arrived home and went straight to her bed .

P.s Alyssia didn't need to work because she was on a scholarship and had tuition of over ten million in her account left to her house her parents.

She laid on the bed and felt like she had been mentally drained today and she just wanted to rest. This kiss fiasco still lingered in her mind and refused to go away. Werewolves. Why was this topic still stuck in her head. Maybe they were peaceful creatures but how would she know. Then the matter of Daniel. He looked like a nice guy. He was good looking and rich -not that she cared about the money. And she could clearly see that he wanted a relationship with her but something rang a warning bell in her head against him, boys like him were very sly and not trustworthy. And besides right now the relationship department in her heart was occupied by someone else. And she wasn't so sure about him but his presence stuck to her heart very strongly and refused to be uprooted. Nacen. Even his name was as mysterious as his presence. She also felt like she had known him forever. Due to how exhausted she was, she quickly fell asleep.

Nacen laid down beside Alyssia's bed and thought of what had happened today. He hadn't meant to blurt out about the existence of werewolves in that manner. Neither had he meant to tell her about the demise of his pack. Stupid, idiot. You just had to kiss her and now you want more. This was just like the case of eating the forbidden fruit. Or like letting a kid have a taste of the icing on a cake and the kid wanting the rest of the cake for himself. His whole body was burning in want. He didn't know how long he can keep this up. If he didn't receive an award for the world's most patient guy then no one will. Arrh. He bounced up on his four paws. He needed to go out for a run. Its been a while since he felt the window in his fur. He made his way quietly out of her room and out of the house. He started running immediately he was out, he wasn't worried that people would discover him as a wolf in his true form. He had placed an illusion on his body so anyone who saw him would only see a husky running around. He ran past many houses and went deep into the woods . Letting the wind ruffle his fur. His paws felt the earth. He missed this breathless feeling. His lungs were burning but he welcomed this feeling greatly. He reached a clearing and gasped up at the full moon. He remembered when his pack would all howl at the moon in harmony as a great standing pack. He threw back his head and howled mournfully. His howl was loud and low , but it conveyed all the feeling of loneliness, sadness, remorse for his pack and also the longing for his mate. Then he howled again, this time longer than the former. Other werewolves might have been nearby as they also responded back with their howls. As if to encourage and sympathize with him. He was surprised and grateful at the response he received and howled again thinking them. He sat quietly and sniffed in the night air. He suddenly had an enlightenment. He turned back and ran towards his mate's house. He had something to do and it was urgent . He had to claim his mate. He had to mark her. He wasn't going to do it physically but he could do it in another way . Simply using her dreams. He would place a mark on her so that if anyone of the werewolf kind saw her, the would know that she was taken. While sitting at the clearing in the woods he suddenly had a thought that if he kept delaying and didn't mark her or claim her, she was going to be snatched away from him. He wouldn't let that happen. He arrived at the house and shifted as he made his way towards her room. He silently placed his hands on her forehead, his eyes glowed a bright red as he put his consciousness into her mind. After some time the side of her neck began to glow. He pulled out his hands quietly and sighed with satisfaction. It was done. She was now fully his . He left to go to the sitting room and shifted back. He soon fell asleep. He was going to reveal himself to her, even if she wasn't ready she had no choice now. She was tied to him and soon she would begin to feel the mate pull.

**************************************************

She was running but she didn't know why . She ran fast as she panted heavily. Her legs were hurting but she knew that if she stopped she would die. She needed someone to save her. Anybody. She kept running until she fell down. Gruesome creatures so ugly and terrifying pounded in front of her wanting to tear her flesh apart. She could hear their growls and snarls as they crept closer and closer. She could already smell their bad breath, their saliva almost touched her. She shook and trembled in terror. She was going to die, she just knew it. The fear was evident in her eyes. They raised their claws to tear her flesh, she closed her eyes to accept her fate. Suddenly, a wolf pounced in front of her and struck them with it paws. While fighting them, she saw other wolves jump into the fray to fight the creatures. She didn't know where they came from but she was grateful for their presence. Soon the creatures were all killed by the wolves. Then the wolves turned to face her. She looked at their leader. It was a magnificent wolf with pure white fur and sparkling sapphire eyes. He looked strangely familiar to her but she couldn't pin point what made it seem familiar. The other wolves stood in silence, curiosity etched on their faces as they watched their leader. He walked slowly stalked towards her. She crawled back in fear and stopped when a boulder blocked her retreating progress. She was breathing really fast and her heart was beating profusely against her chest. He finally stopped in front of her and stood in his full glory. He was huge. She could feel his overwhelming aura flood over her, even the other wolves lowered their head in respect and fear. He stared deeply into her eyes as if to convey a message. She heard a deep and firm voice in her head. "Mate!" She looked at the wolf in confusion, he clearly didn't move his mouth or fangs but she knew that voice was his. What did it mean. Then she heard it again."Mine!" He took a step and lowered his huge head to the side of her neck making her tilt her head to the left side and then he bit her neck.

She woke up with a jolt from her bed. She glanced at her clock. 7:00. What a strange dream. What were those creatures that chased her in her dream and why were they chasing her. Where was that forest. And those wolves, where did they come from. The leader looked so familiar. He was too striking and his eyes, they held her refusing to let go. She remembered that he bit her neck and her hands quickly flew to her neck.
