Chapter 3 I Confused

Travis

Travis was ready to leave his office when suddenly Carmina, his secretary, told him that he has a visitor named Emery. Travis was shocked hearing her name.

'When did she come home? Isn't she in Korea?' he thought.

After a while, the door in his office suddenly opened. “Hello, Travis!” Emery greeted him enthusiastically.

“W-what are you doing here? Aren't you in Korea?” he asked and Emery frowned.

"It's kinda boring in Korea. Also, there was a BIG offer for me here, so I went home immediately." She sat on his sofa and then looked at him. "Are you going home? Let's go out first!” she continued.

“Have you visited Dahlia? Have you two met?” he asked.

"Actually… Not yet—I don't know the exact address of your house. That's why I came here to ask you.” He was about to give their address when she stopped him.

"Let's go out first, I'm hungry. After that just give me your home address when we have finished eating." She stood up and slipped her hand on his arm. Travis was left shocked because he could feel her breast sticking to him. He sighed and nodded. After all, they were friends. They went to an Italian restaurant near his company.  While eating, Emery kept talking about her experiences in Korea. She seems to be fine and happy living there.

"How about you? How are you and Dahlia? Did you already have a child?” she asked. Her question suddenly saddened him.

"Not yet." Travis gave her a short answer. He was surprised and confused when she held his hand.

"Don't be sad Travis. I am here. If you have a misunderstanding with Dahlia, just call me. I'm willing to help you ease your pain." he was suddenly confused by what she said. He just nodded to her and continued his meal. He didn't realize it was already eight in the evening. His wife must have been waiting at their home. Suddenly his chest aches when he remembers her. Travis doesn't know what to do with their relationship. He was tired of waiting, he really want to have a child but his wife can't bear at least one.

“Travis? Are you listening?"

"Huh? What is it again?” Travis asked her.

“I was asking if you want to go to the bar with me. Let's enjoy and forget about your problem." She smiled sweetly and suddenly he swallowed hard.

"O-okay."

'There’s nothing wrong about going with a friend, right?' he thought.

Travis suddenly took out his cell phone to text his wife that he would be home late at night. He was surprised when he saw her 20 missed calls on his cell phone. He just texted her and told her not to wait anymore and went to sleep then he turned off his cp.

After they ate, they immediately went straight to the bar. They sat down and ordered drinks. Travis saw people smoking cigarettes and dancing on the dance floor.

"Are you okay!!?" Emery shouted. He didn't understand what she said so Emery came closer to him and whispered. She was so close and he suddenly felt numb.

"Are you okay? I said," she whispered in his ear and it was as if Emery's lips touched it.

"Y-yes," he said and suddenly drank the wine before him.

“Easy.” She slipped her hand on his arm and leaned unto him. When we were in college she’s always like this. It was no malice for him but now it's different. Maybe he's not used to it anymore. It's been a long time since they last saw each other.

“Travis,” she called.

"Are you happy that you married, Dahlia?" she asked.

"Huh? Yes," he answered.

"Don't you feel sorry? Because she can't give you a child."

“Hmm. Sometimes I think what if I married someone else? Maybe our child is five years old now." She laughed at what he said.

"It's not too late Travis," she told him meaningfully. He sighed and looked at the people dancing on the floor.

"Let's dance?" She pulled him to the dance floor and he can't do anything. She grinds in front of him and wraps his arm around his neck.

"Just dance, Travis," she said flirtatiously. He was starting to like her company. Emery was very wild. If only Dahlia can do this. They are very close to each other and Travis can feel Emery's breast on him. Suddenly his cock came to life, her ass touched his cock when Emery turned her back to him. Travis suddenly groaned.

"You're hard down there!" she shouted so he could hear her. Travis was suddenly embarrassed, which made her laugh.

"Let's go home, you're already drunk," he said and led her out of the dance floor. She followed him and left the bar. Travis opened the passenger seat and let her sit. He smelled her perfume but then Emery suddenly hugged him around his neck.

"Travis, I really love you…” Travis looked at her shockingly and they started staring at each other. He was suddenly attracted to her red lips as if he wanted to kiss her or maybe it was just his drunkenness.

She slowly brought her lips closer to him. She moved her lips until their kiss deepened.

Fuck!

He suddenly came to his senses and cut the kiss-off.

"S-sorry," he apologized.

She nodded and adjusted herself. Travis closed the door of his car and got in and started driving.

"Where are you staying? Is it at your father's place again?" She nodded in response. They didn't say a word the whole flight. When they got to her house, she went straight out and closed their gate. Travis scratched his head and started his car.

To be honest, he felt guilty, especially for his wife. He doesn't know why he did that, why he kissed Emery.

"You're such a fool Travis!" he whispered to himself. When he returned to their house, he saw her wife sleeping peacefully in the living room. He suddenly felt sorry for her.

“I'm sorry Dahlia.”

He caressed her face and looked at her intently. It was past midnight, he sighed and carried his wife to her room. After the night they fought, he didn't let her sleep in their room. Because he hated her guts, he don't understand himself anymore. Suddenly he just lost his patience.

He's tired of waiting in hopes of having children with her. He waited and hoped for five years and still nothing. He was thinking, maybe they are not meant for each other.

Until one day, he found myself not caring about her and her feelings. He was also thinking about what if he married someone else and not her.

How many children does he have now, maybe a ton.

It sucks when his friends were teasing him for not having a child. At first, it was okay with him but now he's sick of it. Until he found himself blaming and yelling at Dahlia, that was the first fight his wife and him had.

He held her into her room but before he left, he kissed her forehead.

"T-Travis don't leave me." He suddenly stopped walking. He looked at her and saw her crying while sleeping. Guilty was taking his whole body.

"I'm so sorry, Dahlia," he whispered in his mind then closed the door.

He entered his room and changed his clothes. Suddenly his cell phone rang.

"Hello?" he answered.

“Hello, Travis?” It was Emery.

"Why were you calling?"

"I just want to say I'm sorry for suddenly leaving you earlier. I just didn't know what to say, after what—” he suddenly cut her off. As much as possible, he doesn't want to talk about what happened earlier.

"It's okay. Let's forget about that." He heard her sigh on the line.

"O-okay. Thank you and sorry. Goodnight," she said and bid goodbye.

"Goodnight too. “

Why did he respond to Emery's kiss earlier? He doesn't know how he feels now. There's a part of him that he like what happened and there's also a part of him that he didn't because he's already married and he cheated on his wife. He promised at the altar that she was the only woman he would love, but what is he doing? If only they had a child this would not have happened.
