“Sup girl, you must really like sports,” Ronan chuckled, his eyes meeting hers in the rearview mirror as the car glided down the street.

A soft smile formed on Sarah's face, but before she could answer, Jasper beat her to it from the front seat.

“Or you must really like Blake,” he said with a smirk.

Sarah instantly made an angry face, causing the entire car to erupt in laughter a second later.

“What?” Jasper asked, shifting slightly to face her in the back. “Ain't he your boyfriend? It's not wrong to really like him a lot, now is it?”

A low chuckle left Sarah's throat as her cheeks burned. “There, Bunny's over there.”

Ronan rolled the car over, halting just in front of Bunny, who looked spent and hopeless under the streetlight.

She didn't bother waiting for them to step down; Bunny yanked the door open, threw herself inside, and slammed it shut.

“Jesus, I had to read four pages of text to finish that report,” Bunny groaned, dropping her head against the seat.

Sarah's eyes went over her and she shook her head, prompting the guys in the front to burst out laughing again.

“Who wants ice cream?!” Jasper blurted out.

“Meeeeeee!” the two girls screamed, totally losing their composure.

“To the ice cream shop!” Ronan laughed, stepping on the gas.

Meanwhile, Blake's fingers traveled across his phone as he dialed Ronan's number for the hundredth time. Still no answer.

“Sup, Coach,” a voice interrupted him.

He turned to face Leo and Mason walking over with their jerseys slung over their shoulders.

His face lacked any trace of laughter as he greeted them. “Hey.”

“You look like you could murder someone right now,” Leo said, swinging an arm across Blake's shoulders.

Blake shrugged Leo's arm off instantly. “I'm good.”

“You're not sure,” Mason said, crossing his arms over his chest.

“Catch up with you guys later.” Blake walked out on the duo, heading straight to his car.

“Something is definitely wrong with him,” Leo murmured.

Mason nodded as they watched his retreating figure, shrugged, and walked away.

Blake got into his car and sped off, driving past the two guys.

He drove straight to his father's estate, honking loudly at the gate until it opened. Speeding through the vast compound, he parked randomly and stormed into the house.

The first person he met was the butler.

“Mr. James,” he muttered a greeting despite his anger.

The old man nodded. “Welcome, young master. How have you been?”

“Terrible. Where is my father?”

“He is in his office, but he strictly warned he doesn't want to be disturbed—” Before Mr. James could even finish, Blake reached for the stairs, storming upstairs in almost what seemed like a run.

The butler swallowed hard, raising two hands to the sky before walking back into the house.

Blake ran upstairs and walked directly to his father's home office. he knocked, without waiting for a response, he barged in.

“I am sure James told you I want zero disturbance, Blake,” his father muttered behind his glasses, not looking up.

Blake reached for the scotch on the table, gulped it down at once, and exhaled heavy breath.

“Father, why are they here?”

“Who is this ‘they’ you speak of?” his father asked, finally raising his head to look at him.

“Don't play dumb with me, Father.”

Mr. Smith removed his glasses, carefully placing them on the table as he turned his full attention to Blake.

“You will speak to me with respect, child.”

“The same respect they give you, right?”

“Blake!” his father's voice rose above normal.

A bitter smile etched onto Blake’s face before disappearing almost immediately.

“Tell your sons, Mr. Smith, if by any chance they cross me or touch what's mine, we might as well air our dirty laundry outside... sir.”

He turned on his heel and headed out the door.

“LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WELCOME TO OVERTIME AT THE ICE PALACE!” The announcer’s voice crackled through the arena’s PA system, booming over the deafening roar of the packed stadium. “Sixty seconds on the clock! Next goal wins! The Frostbite are fighting for their lives against the brutal Ironclads defense!”Down at the edge of the team bench, Blake Smith stood motionless. Dressed in a sharp, dark suit with his captain's badge pinned to the lapel and a knee brace visible beneath his trousers, his presence dominated the rink. "Mason! Watch the left flank! They’re stacking three on the blue line!" Blake barked over the glass, his voice cutting cleanly through the screaming crowd. Up in the lower bleachers, Sarah sat with her coat pulled tight around her face, shivering from the icy drafts. Bunny was screaming at the top of her lungs beside her, while three seats down, Nova sat with her arms crossed. Nova’s eyes flicked over, seeing Mason wide open near the perimeter. "Blake! Mason's

Sarah sat back against the leather seat, staring out the window as the gated estate gave way to the busy streets surrounding the campus. Her hands rested on her lap, fingers tracing the loose stitching of Blake’s oversized gray hoodie. In the front seat, Jasper drove with one hand casually resting on the top of the steering wheel, while Ronan stayed turned slightly in his seat, his arm propped on the center console so he could face the back.“So, Sarah,” Ronan started, his voice rich and relaxed. “How long have you and Blake been a thing?”Sarah’s eyes flicked over to him. “We’re not, .....it’s complicated.”“Complicated is an understatement,” Bunny chimed in, leaning forward between the front seats. “One day she’s just another student trying to survive her lectures, and the next day she’s getting publicly kissed in the middle of the corridor while half the school records it on TikTok.”“Bunny,” Sarah warned, giving her friend a sharp nudge with her elbow. Jasper let out a low chuck

  • His Supposed Girlfriend   Ronan......

Ronan’s eyes flicked to his side-view mirror, watching the silhouette of the white Ferrari idling in the distance, bathed in the late-afternoon glare. A slow, satisfied smile stretched across his lips before he turned his gaze back to the windshield. "Everything alright back there?" Ronan asked, his voice smooth as silk as he adjusted the rearview mirror, catching Sarah’s guarded gaze in the reflection. "You two look like you’ve been through a war zone today.""Understatement of the century," Bunny groaned, sinking so low into the plush leather seat that only her eyes were visible over the headrest. "If I see another egg in my life, I'm filing a restraining order."Sarah didn't laugh. She sat rigid, clutching her bag against her chest like a shield. Through the tinted glass, she watched the manicured lawns of the estate slip past, her mind still anchored to the boy she'd just left behind. *Who said it was just to scare Nova off?* Blake’s quiet, velvet voice echoed in her ears, refu

  • His Supposed Girlfriend   A pit stop.... His house

Blake carried Sarah out of the school grounds, his long strides making quick work of the lawn while Bunny hurried behind them, practically vibrating with excitement.“Put me down, Blake!” Sarah protested, her face burning hotter than the egg yolk still drying on her cheek. Her arms dangled over his back, her vision bouncing with every step he took. “Everyone is watching! Put me down!”“No can do, Butterfly,” Blake said, his voice smooth and untroubled despite carrying her weight. “You’ve had a busy morning beating people up. Consider this your personal chauffeur service.”“I didn’t beat anyone up— okay, maybe a little,” she muttered, hiding her glowing face against his jersey as they reached the white Ferrari parked at the curb.He slid her down his side, keeping one hand steady on her waist until her feet touched the pavement. Dozens of eyes tracked her every move—some glinting with disgust, others sharp with envy.In just two days, Sarah had learned to tune out whatever Pearl High thought of her. She knew better than anyone that the school was full of Nova's mindless minions, and this hostile atmosphere was entirely Nova's doing.*Splat.*A heavy, wet impact landed directly on Sarah's forehead. The cold liquid slid quickly down her face, pooling near the corner of her lips. She tasted it, and a wave of intense nausea hit her stomach. Egg. A raw, slimy egg.Sarah froze, swallowing hard as the cold yellow yolk trickled past her jaw. Next to her, Bunny’s face flushed a deep, furious red. Sarah looked up toward the second-floor balcony.
