The drive back to the hotel took longer than expected. The traffic was terrible, stretching what should have been a short ride into over an hour. By the time we finally arrived, exhaustion weighed heavy on me.

I stepped out of the car, barely paying attention as Theo led the way inside. My feet ached, my body was drained, and all I wanted was to collapse onto the bed and sleep.

As soon as we entered the suite, I kicked off my heels and walked straight to the bed. Without thinking, I pulled back the covers and climbed in, sighing in relief.

But before I could get comfortable, Theo’s voice cut through the room.

"What are you doing?"

I groaned, already annoyed. "Sleeping."

Theo’s dark eyes narrowed. "That’s my bed."

I blinked, too tired to argue. "Okay?"

He crossed his arms. "The floor is for you."

I stared at him, waiting for him to say he was joking. He wasn’t.

I let out a tired sigh, too exhausted to argue.

Without a word, I got up from the bed, grabbed a blanket, and spread it on the

The next morning, the tension in the air was suffocating.Theo hadn’t spoken to me since last night, but I felt his presence like a shadow, lurking, waiting. When the door finally opened, it wasn’t Hailey who stepped in. It was one of his men—a tall, intimidating figure dressed in a black suit, his face unreadable."Get up. We’re leaving," he said, his tone flat.I exhaled slowly and stood, refusing to let my nerves show.Outside, Theo was already waiting, dressed in a crisp black suit, his expression unreadable. He didn’t acknowledge me as I stepped out.A sleek black Rolls-Royce was parked in the driveway, its tinted windows gleaming under the morning sun. One of Theo’s drivers held the door open, and without a word, I slid inside.Theo followed, settling into the seat beside me, his presence heavy, suffocating. The ride was silent.I stared out the window, watching as the city blurred past. The further we drove, the more upscale the surroundings became. Glass skyscrapers, high-end

The next morning, I sat on the edge of the bed, staring at the door, waiting.I knew she would come. She always did.And sure enough, just a few minutes later, the door opened, and Hailey walked in, carrying the tray like she did every day.Her expression was the same as always—neutral, slightly bored, like she had better things to do than serve me. But I knew better now.I let her set the tray down before speaking. "How does it feel?"Hailey paused, then looked at me with a frown. "What?"I leaned back against the headboard, tilting my head slightly. "Being Theo’s loyal little lapdog. Does it feel good?"Her frown deepened, but I saw the flicker of something in her eyes—guilt? Annoyance?"Watch your mouth," she muttered, straightening up.I let out a short laugh. "Or what? You’ll go run to Theo again? Tell him I dared to speak to you? What’s next? You gonna tell him what I dream about too?"Hailey’s jaw clenched. "I don’t know what you’re talking about."I scoffed. "Oh, please. Don’t

And yet… I wasn’t happy.I lay back on the bed, staring at the ceiling. My chest felt heavy, like something was pressing down on me.Why did I feel this way? Why did it bother me so much?Theo was my enemy. He had hurt me, taken everything from me. I should have felt relief knowing he was suffering. But all I felt was… confusion.I closed my eyes, trying to push the thoughts away. But no matter how hard I tried, the image of the report stayed in my mind. The words were clear. Theo was running out of time. And no one knew.A sudden knock on the door made me jump. My heart pounded as I sat up quickly.Who could it be?Before I could say anything, the door opened. It was Theo.He stepped inside, his sharp eyes locking onto mine. The room suddenly felt smaller, the air heavier. For a moment, he didn’t say anything. He just stared at me.I swallowed hard, trying to keep my face calm. His gaze flickered to the sandwich on the table. “You didn’t eat.”I looked away. “I wasn’t hungry.”Theo t

I stared at the report, my hands shaking as I held the paper. My heart pounded in my chest, and my breath came in short, uneven gasps.Kidney failure.Theo had kidney failure.I read the words over and over again, but they didn’t change. They were real. This wasn’t some mistake or misunderstanding. The report was clear—his kidneys were failing, and if he didn’t get a donor fast, he wouldn’t have much time.Suddenly, everything started to make sense. The blood he has been coughing .I should have been happy. This was karma, right? The universe paying him back for killing my father.I had told myself over and over again that one day, he’d suffer for what he did. That one day, he’d feel pain just like the pain he had caused me.And now, here it was. The proof that he was slowly dying. But I wasn’t happy.I wasn’t satisfied.Instead, a strange, heavy feeling settled in my chest.I thought about the blood he had been coughing up, the way he sometimes looked exhausted but pretended he was

He grabbed my arm and yanked me towards the bed. I stumbled, trying to keep my balance, but he was too strong. He threw me onto the mattress, and I bounced slightly, landing on my back. He was on me in an instant, his weight pressing me down.He rolled me over onto my hands and knees, my face buried in the sheets. Before I could react, he gripped my hips tightly, holding me in place. I felt his breath hot on my back as he positioned himself behind me. Then, with a harsh, forceful thrust, he entered me.A small moan escaped my lips as he started to move, his pace quick and rough. "Mmm," I moaned again, my body tensing with each thrust. He didn't slow down, his movements becoming more aggressive. My breath hitched, and I bit my lip to stifle any further sounds. "Ugh," I moaned again. The sound rough and involuntary."Yes," he growled, his voice thick with lust. "Just like that. Moan for me, carino." He gripped my hips tighter, pulling me closer. "Yes," he repeated, his thrusts deep

I shook my head again, offering her a polite smile. "No, thank you."She pouted slightly, swirling the cocktail in her hand. "You sure? It’s really good.""I'm sure," I said firmly. She tilted her head, studying me with curious green eyes. "Where you from?""New York," I answered. Her lips curved into a playful smile. "New York?" She took a small sip of her drink before shaking her head. "Most people I know in New York love to party... but you?"Her Mexican accent was thick, making her words sound almost musical. She raised an eyebrow, waiting for my answer.Camila tilted her head, her green eyes glinting with curiosity. "So, who are you with—"Before she could finish, Theo finally turned toward us.The moment her gaze landed on him, a slow, knowing smile spread across her face."Ahhhhhhh!" she exclaimed, a mix of surprise and amusement in her voice. "The Mafia Lord of New York."She looked back at me, her expression playful. "Aren't you a bad girl?"I frowned slightly. "What?"Camila

I didn’t know much about La Serata Nera. I had only seen glimpses of it on television—rich, powerful men in expensive suits, their wives and girlfriends dressed like queens. It was a night where secrets were shared behind polite smiles, where alliances were made, and enemies pretended to be friends. And now, I was going.Evening arrived quickly, and before I knew it, Hailey was in my room, holding a black shimmering gown. It had a high turtle neck, long flowing sleeves, and hugged the body just right. It was elegant but not too revealing—thankfully. She handed it to me without a word, waiting as I put it on. Then, she moved on to my hair. She curled it softly, letting it fall down my back in loose waves. After that, she applied light makeup—just enough to highlight my features. A little blush, a soft pink lip, and a touch of shimmer on my eyes. When she was done, I barely recognized myself in the mirror.Just then, the door opened, and Mrs. Rodriguez walked in. She stopped when she sa

As soon as the door closed, Theo's fake sweetness disappeared. His grip tightened, and his eyes darkened.Gone was the man pretending to be a caring boyfriend. Now, he was just Theo-the ruthless, controlling monster I knew too well.Without a word, he started pulling at my clothes. I struggled, my hands grabbing at his wrists, but it was useless. He was too strong."Don't fight me, Sofia," he said, his voice low and firm. "You know it only makes things worse."My breath hitched as he stripped me bare, leaving me completely exposed.I shivered, not from the cold but from the sheer helplessness of it all. Then his gaze lowered, roaming over my body. The scars. The ones he had put there. His eyes filled with something dark, something twisted-contentment.Like he was admiring his own work.Theo’s gaze lingered on the scars, his fingers tracing over them like they were trophies instead of reminders of my suffering.A smirk played on his lips. “Beautiful,” he murmured, his voice filled with
