It took me three full minutes just to peel my back off the wallpaper.

Between my legs, the dull ache of unfulfilled friction pulsed with every step I took. The memory of his heavy thigh wedged between mine, his rough thumb dragging across my silk panties, was still burning like a brand.

Pull yourself together, I told myself, clutching the cool marble frame of the hallway exit. You started this. Now play the game.

I looked at my reflection in the massive arched mirror and caught my breath.

My bold red lipstick was blurred past the edges of my lips, smeared across my upper lip and chin like a crime scene. My dark curls were tousled where Damon’s large hands had tangled into the nape of my neck, and the pale skin of my collarbone carried a faint, blooming red flush where his teeth had grazed me.

If Ethan had paid any real attention to me over the last two years, he would have known in two seconds that another man had just put his mouth on me.

With shaking fingers, I pulled a damp cloth from the vanity, wiping away every trace of the smeared crimson until my lips were raw and pink. I dug into my small clutch, reapplying a clean layer of matte red paint, blotting it carefully.

I took one long, shuddering breath, lifted my chin, and walked back out into the noise of the ballroom.

None of them had any idea that fifty feet away, in a dim service hallway, the dutiful future bride had just made a pact with the family predator.

"There you are! Where did you run off to?"

Ethan turned from a small cluster of executives as I approached, holding a fresh flute of champagne out to me.

"Powder room," I said smoothly, letting a practiced, polite smile curve my lips as I took the glass from his hand. "The line was long."

"You were gone a while," he said casually, barely looking at my face as he turned back to the older couple beside him. "Mr. Vance was just telling me about the new commercial zoning project in the northern sector."

Ethan stepped closer, throwing a heavy, casual arm over my bare shoulders.

A sharp shudder ran through me, but I forced myself not to pull away. The contrast was dizzying. Less than ten minutes ago, Damon’s hands had clamped around my waist with bruising, possessive force, lifting me effortlessly against his chest. Ethan’s touch felt like a dead weight.

Across the room, standing near the dessert table with a plate of fruit, was Victoria.

She caught my eye and offered a sweet, innocent wave. But as Ethan laughed loudly at something Mr. Vance said, Victoria’s eyes flicked over to him, her lower lip curving into a soft, private smirk.

Enjoy him, I thought, taking a slow sip of the bubbly, bitter champagne. He’s all yours.

My gaze snapped toward the entrance purely on instinct.

Damon walked into the room.

He didn't rush. He didn't look around nervously or check to see if anyone was staring. He walked with that slow, predatory grace that made people naturally step aside to give him space.

He looked as clean and composed as a sculpture. There was not a single trace of the animal who had pinned me against the wall, snarling dirty promises against my ear.

He caught the eye of a passing waiter, taking a glass of dark scotch without breaking stride. Then, as if drawn by a silent command, his head turned slightly.

His dark eyes locked straight onto mine.

The breath caught in my throat.

Damon didn't blink. He didn't flinch. He didn't look away to protect my secret. Across twenty feet of crowded ballroom, over the heads of laughing relatives and glittering jewels, his heavy, brooding gaze pinned me to the floor.

It was an open, brazen stare.

I felt the heat pool between my thighs all over again, my pulse pounding in my ears until the orchestra music faded into background static. He raised his glass to his lips, his throat moving in a slow swallow as he took a sip of the amber liquor, his eyes never leaving mine.

Look at me, his voice echoed in my head, dark and commanding. Behind closed doors, you belong to me completely.

"Uncle Damon!" Ethan’s voice cut through the haze like a knife.

Ethan had noticed him. He raised his free hand in a welcoming wave, his other arm still draped heavily over my bare shoulders.

"Over here! Come have a drink with us," Ethan called out, eager to show off his connection to the family's most successful, elusive figure.

Damon lowered his glass. A faint, razor-sharp smirk touched the edge of his mouth—so subtle that only someone looking closely would catch it. He turned and strolled casually toward our circle.

Every instinct in my body screamed to run, but my feet remained rooted to the polished floor.

"Ethan," Damon greeted smoothly, his voice was deep, cultured, and perfectly polite. He glanced at the older couple, nodding respectfully. "Mr. Vance. Mrs. Vance. Glad you could make it tonight."

"Damon! Always a pleasure," Mr. Vance beamed. "We were just talking about Ethan’s upcoming expansion plans."

"Were you?" Damon murmured. He finally let his eyes slide down from Ethan’s face to where Ethan’s arm was draped over my bare shoulder.

"Uncle Damon, you haven't said hello to Robin yet," Ethan said with an easy, oblivious laugh, tightening his grip on my shoulder, pulling me an inch closer into his side. "She decided to wear red tonight. Made quite an entrance."

Damon looked at me.

I felt completely naked under his eyes. My chest rose and fell with a shallow, ragged rhythm, my fingers tightening around the slender stem of my champagne glass.

"Good evening, Robin," Damon said softly.

"Good evening, Damon," I managed to say, forcing my voice to sound cool, detached, and polite.

"Red suits you," he remarked, holding my gaze without an ounce of shame. "It's bold. Demanding."

"A bit too bold for my taste, honestly," Ethan chuckled dismissively. "She usually prefers softer things. But you know women—they like to play dress-up for big parties."

"I don't think Robin is playing dress-up, Ethan," Damon said quietly, his voice dropping an octave, heavy with a double meaning that made my toes curl inside my heels. "I think she knows exactly what she’s doing."

Ethan frowned slightly, confused by the strange gravity in his uncle’s tone, but before he could press further, his mother bustled over from across the room, waving her hands frantically.

"Ethan! Darling, the board chairman wants a photo with you and the rest of the junior directors before the speeches start," she trilled, her sharp eyes bypassing me entirely. "Hurry along, dear."

"Duty calls," Ethan sighed, lifting his arm from my shoulders and leaning down to give me a quick, careless peck on the temple. "I'll be back in twenty minutes, babe. Wait for me here."

He turned and followed his mother toward the stage, leaving Mr. and Mrs. Vance to wander toward the buffet.

The space around us emptied.

I stood frozen under the chandelier light, holding my champagne flute like a shield. Damon took a single, slow step closer, closing the distance until the scent of his cologne washed over me once more.

He leaned down slightly, tilting his head as if admiring the artwork on the wall behind me.

"Your hand is shaking, little girl," he murmured, his voice so low that only I could hear it over the music.

I looked down at the champagne flute in my fingers. The liquid was trembling, rippling against the glass.

"I'm fine," I whispered through my teeth, refusing to look weak in front of him.

"Tomorrow night," he whispered smoothly, his lips barely moving. "My penthouse. Nine o'clock. Don't make me wait, Robin."

Damon let out a dark, breathless laugh, his eyes burning with pure, unadulterated lust as he carried me two steps over to the wide leather sofa. He threw me down onto the cushions, my dress bunched up around my ribcage, my breasts completely bare, and my legs falling wide open in pure, uninhibited invitation. He didn't take off his trousers. He just unbuckled his belt with a quick, loud metallic clink, unzipped his fly, and freed his thick, pulsing length. He was rock hard, thick, and pre-cum was already glistening at the tip.Seeing him like that—raw, massive, and completely ready to take me—sent a fresh wave of liquid heat straight to my thighs. I reached down, grabbing the thin scrap of my silk underwear, and ripped it sideways, exposing my wet, swollen center completely to his view."Fuck, Robin," Damon rasped, his voice rough and stripped of all composure as his dark eyes locked onto my dripping core. "You're fucking soaked.""Then don't make me wait," I demanded, my hips arching

  • His Uncle Ruined Me For Good   The Threshold of Shadow

The rain was slamming hard against the panoramic glass of the penthouse elevator as it shot up to the top floor of Vance Tower. My skin felt hot, my throat dry, and my pulse was hammering with a fast, heavy rhythm that had nothing to do with anxiety and everything to do with pure, desperate physical need.Ethan had texted earlier with some boring complaint about his father tearing apart his quarterly projections, but I hadn't even bothered reading it. My body wasn't thinking about Ethan. My body was thumping with a deep, aching itch that had been building at the base of my spine since the moment I woke up. I wanted dirty, ruthless, uninhibited sex, and there was only one man who knew how to give it to me.The elevator doors opened directly into Damon’s penthouse with a soft, electronic chime. He didn't have his suit jacket on. He was standing near the edge of the dark hardwood floor wearing just his tailored trousers, his crisp white dress shirt completely unbuttoned down the front, e

Victoria adjusted her posture, her hazel eyes narrowing as she tried to recalculate her attack. She leaned forward slightly, resting her forearms on the edge of my mahogany desk, trying to force an intimacy that wasn't there."Well, it's not just business, Robin," Victoria dropped her voice to a conspiratorial whisper, her tone dripping with fake concern. "He was so stressed when he came over around midnight. He mentioned he stopped by your place first, but that you... turned him away? He seemed so disappointed, poor thing. A man like Ethan—a Vance—isn't used to being locked out in the cold. He came straight to my apartment looking for a littl

  • His Uncle Ruined Me For Good   The Uninvited Guest

The morning sun streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows of my corner office should have felt warm, but the heavy glass skyscraper remained chilled by central air and corporate tension. I sat behind my desk, nursing a double shot of black espresso. Beneath the crisp collar of my silk blouse, my skin still throbbed with a faint, phantom heat—a silent reminder of Damon’s mouth and hands in the dark, blacked-out cabin of his Maybach just hours ago.I had spent twenty minutes in front of my bathroom mirror at dawn trying to cover the dark bruise near my collarbone with concealer. I hadn't covered it completely. A part of me—a dark, reckless part I barely recognized—wanted it there. It was armor against the quiet lies of the Vance family. My phone buzzed on the blotter. It was an email from Ethan’s secretary confirming he was "out of office for off-site client me

  • His Uncle Ruined Me For Good   The Dark Glass

The dark cabin of the Maybach felt suffocatingly small, thick with the scent of leather, scotch, and the heavy, electric musk of our bodies. I was completely undone in his lap, my black coat falling off my shoulders, my underwear discarded somewhere on the floorboards, and my bare skin pressing flush against the rough weave of his trousers.Damon looked down at me, his face a harsh sculpture of dark focus in the dim amber light of the car's footwells. He grabbed my chin between his thumb and forefinger, tilting my head back until my dark eyes met his."You left your bed at midnight to come down to a dark garage for me," Damon rasped, his voice a low, gravelly vibration that rattled through my chest. "Say why you're here, Robin.""Because I needed this," I breathed, my hands sliding up his chest to grip the open collar of his shirt, my fingers tangling in the dark hair there. "Because I can't let him touch me anymore. Only you."A dark, savage smirk cut across his features. "That's my

The clock on my nightstand ticked silently over to 11:58 PM. My body was still humming from the scalding hot shower I’d taken to wash away the ghost of Ethan’s touch, but the skin beneath my collarbone—where Damon had left his mark in the cellar—seemed to burn with a phantom heat.he lingering repulsion of his presence still made my skin crawl.I was sitting on the edge of my bed, nursing a glass of ice water and staring blankly at the city lights outside my window, when the quiet vibration of my phone startled the silence.I picked it up. Just a blunt command written in the dark, confident authority that belonged to only one man.I held the phone, staring at the glowing numbers until the screen dimmed. I shouldn't go.
