Chapter 4

VIENNA'S POV

There was nothing else that happened on weekends but I'm still on the topic on social media. And Tine is always saying sorry to me through text, messenger, F******k, and even email. I have no idea how he found out my social media accounts and number. But I think because of my brother and you know what, when I came home on Friday, he didn't stop pestering me, even though it was time for me to go to bed. He only stopped pestering me when he was not at home because of soccer practice.

I just found out from Therese by Sunday morning that the story about me and Tine has been posted on social media. There are a lot of students that are against it even though it's not true. Everyone posted on their F******k walls about me and Tine. I don't even care about that but it's annoying. That's why I've decided to deactivate all my social media accounts because of Tine’s fans.

This day, Monday in the morning, the Club Fair starts and I'm losing my interest to go and show up at the university. But I can't, I just need to act normal as if nothing happened on Friday. I should not be affected by it cause it's fake but it ruined my day.

I arrived at the university safe and sound. As soon as I entered the main entrance, many students are so busy with what they were doing. They are all busy so no one noticed my presence and I'm so thankful for that.

I looked for Therese but I couldn't find her. I also texted her but there was no reply. Maybe she's busy at her club and Michelle for sure is also busy at the council.

"Vienna.." I turned around, it was Britt and Enzo but they are not with Sebastian.

"We're going to accompany you at the Music Club," Britt said as they reached my direction. They are both wearing jerseys, maybe they have soccer practice.

"Don't worry Vienna, we'll take care of you," Enzo said.

"Wear it so they don't recognize you that you're with us." And Britt took something out of his bag. A cap, he also handed it to me. It will be a big help after all. I wore what he gave me and he even adjusted the cap I was wearing.

"Let's go, Vienna," Enzo said and I followed them.

The number of people is increasing and there's also a lot of students registering in various clubs. Some also sell foods like ice cream, shakes and milk tea, cotton candy, and many more.

We already arrived at the Music Club and there were a lot of students. The line was too long and it looks like it will take me an hour here.

"You can leave me here, I can handle this. Thank you for accompanying me," I said.

"It's okay Vienna, we'll be with you until you register," Britt replied.

"Our practice will start at 10 am, so we can join you to go around and watch Sebastian's show," Enzo added.

I just smiled at the two of them. Even though Therese avoided me from them, they still come to me to accompany, help and talk to me.

"Vienna can I ask?" Enzo asked and I nodded in response.

"Are you really in a relationship with Tine Alvarez? it's a topic here at the university, especially on social media," Enzo asked shyly. They also know something about that matter.

"That's not true, it's just that he just wants his fans to avoid him. We only met yesterday, you even saw my reaction, didn't you?" They both nodded and smiled.

They both witnessed what happened yesterday outside the room so they didn't need to hear my explanation anymore.

After about 20 minutes in the line, I was able to register and they gave me a small piece of paper. But I didn't even bother to look at it.

"On Wednesday there will be an announcement, don't worry it will be posted on the bulletin board. Just keep updated okay? Thank you and good luck," the woman said to me. I just thanked her and we left the club.

They took me on a tour. We went to various booths and also bought various foods. I enjoyed being with them, I can't help but laugh and smile because of what they do.

"Bro..." Britt called Sebastian but he didn't notice my presence. We are now backstage where they are already preparing for the show. What will they sing?

Suddenly my phone vibrated in my pocket, I checked it and it was my brother. What does he need from me? I just answered the call and walked away. They were still talking when I leave.

"Yes, why you called?" I opened up to him.

(Go to the field now) What will I do there?

"What will I do there?" I asked, confused.

(Tine is injured, he needs you here)

"As if I care, I'm not his girlfriend and he can handle that, he's big already," I complained but he immediately dropped the call. He's annoying, damn him!!

"Vienna, come here," Enzo called me and I didn't even notice that Sebastian had been looking at me.

"I'm sorry but I have to go. Tine is injured and I have to go to the field. Thanks for joining me Britt and Enzo, I'll make it up to you both tomorrow, sorry."

It's doesn't matter if they wonder but I have to go to the field.

That guy! he's ruining me badly.

ENZO'S POV

"I'm sorry but I have to go. Tine is injured and I have to go to the field. Thanks for joining me Britt and Enzo, I'll make it up to you both tomorrow, sorry."

Why is she in a hurry? she said that she won't have a relationship with Tine but why is she so worried?

"You both said that they are not in a relationship, so what is that? As if she wanted to run going to the field," Sebastian said in a serious tone. Britt and I were confused at the tone of his voice. Is he jealous?

"Yes bro, there isn't and that's what Vienna told us earlier. It looks like she's not lying," I replied.

"I'll get ready, you can practice, I'll follow after the show." And suddenly he left in front of us. He didn't even admit it but he was jealous.

“He’s still not losing her feelings for Vienna,” Britt said as his gaze followed Sebastian.

"Let's let him admit before we judge, let's go, bro."

Is there still a chance that a person's feelings will return once he is ghosted by the person he loves for almost 3 years?

VIENNA'S POV

I already arrived at the field and looked for Tine. I saw him sitting on a bench and he also saw me walking in his direction. I looked at the field, I was just surprised when they suddenly applauded except for my older brother because he doesn't seem to be here now.

"Where's my brother? Why is he sending me here? your teammates are there?" I asked though I should ask if he was okay. As if I would be kind to him.

"I also didn't expect you to come here and your brother just left."

My brother just pranking me and he just really wanted to annoy me. He's too much, he'll be ready for it because I'll get revenge!

I calmed myself, I'm here already so I'll just help him.

"What happened to that?" I asked.

His knee was bleeding and he had a bruise on his leg. I took the handkerchief from my bag and sat down in front of his knee. I knew that everyone was looking at us but I just ignored it. I also tied my handkerchief to his knee to stop the bleeding and to keep it from the rays of the sun, especially now that it's hot.

"Vienna I'm sorry, I'm sorry if I ruined you and I'm sorry if because of what I did, you were got issued," he said suddenly.

"For how many times that you said that? 100? 200? 1000x?" He laughed at my answer.

"Yes I'm still mad at you and I want to punch you," I answered.

"I'll accept it even if you do now."

"So, you just want me to be hated and the topic here again? I'll do that but not in front of your fans." I looked at him and he seemed scared of my threat.

"What else can I do? It has already happened and everyone already knows. I have no escape, all I have to do is to accept the consequences of your actions. I know it will pass, don't worry I already accept your apology but still, I want to punch you," I continued and he smiled at me.

"Thank you, Vienna, and sorry for the inconvenience. You should have been there at the event and enjoying but you were here and helping me," he said.

"It's okay, I was able to enjoy it even quicker. So, can you stand up? I'll take you to the clinic," I replied and stood up, he nodded in response. He slowly stood up, but I suddenly approached him because he was about to fall. He grabbed me by the shoulder and I grabbed him by the waist, causing everyone to tease us.

"I'm sorry, Vienna." This is him again with his apologies.

"One sorry from you, I'll leave you here," I threatened to shut him. Only now did I notice that I was only up to his shoulder and then the size of his body. Will I be able to take him to the clinic?

"You're taller than me, almost all of your weight will go to me. So behave, we might end up nine before we get to the clinic." He nodded in response. I led him slowly and he did as I said. But I secretly laughed because his lips twisted in pain once his injured right foot landed on the ground.

We are close to the clinic now, we stopped first and let him rest for a while. I feel bad for him but from here in our place, students are looking at us.

"Maybe you're tired, you can leave me here. The clinic is also nearby," he said but I shook my head.

"Don't worry about me okay? I'm fine, so let's go?" I answered and he nodded. 

I helped him get up and led him to the clinic. We also arrived, a nurse assisted him and I just sat in the empty seat. I first took off my cap and made it a fan, 'cause it was hot even though the clinic was air-conditioned.

After about 20 minutes, the nurse finished treating Tine and his knee was filled with bandages. He is currently asleep, probably due to extreme fatigue.

"He needs to rest for at least an hour then he can go home. I'm sorry but your boyfriend can't play in the meantime, he needs to rest his right foot first. If you need anything just call me, excuse me," the nurse said. I just smiled and thanked her. She thinks that Tine is my boyfriend, damn!

"Vienna.." I turned around, it was Michelle and Therese.

How did they know I was here at the clinic?

"How did you know I was here?" I asked, confused.

“We found out from Tine’s fans that he was injured and was accompanied by a woman,” Therese replied.

"Our guess is you and we weren't wrong, you were the one who helped him," Michelle added. They both teased me but Tine didn't wake up, he was still sound asleep.

"Vienna, what if both of you make it official?" I slapped Michelle's shoulder because of what she said.

Mygaddd! I don't have a plan to make Tine my boyfriend.

"Stop it, Michelle, your mouth was annoying. Another one, I'm going to hit you," I replied and added a blow but she just laughed at me.

"You better leave," I added.

"You just want to be alone with Tine, we're leaving don't worry, hehe... this is it, we're leaving." I think they were both scared and they left the clinic. But they still teased me before they finally got left and disappeared from my sight.

I looked at my wristwatch, it was 10 am. Is the show over? I want to watch but what about this one? I can't leave him here while I'm at the event and listening. This would have been the chance for me to hear Sebastian's voice but what happened to Tine was at the wrong time.

"Vienna, hey.."

I woke up when someone shook my shoulder but it was just Tine. I didn't even realize I was asleep but what time is it?

"You slept for almost 20 minutes and I thought when I woke up you left but you just slept there," he said.

"Sorry, by the way, what time is it? Are you hungry?" He seemed surprised by my last question. What did he think of me? a bad or heartless woman? so he wouldn't be asked that?

"It's 11:30 am, it's just a little bit," he replied shyly.

"All right, I'll buy. What do you want to eat?" I asked.

"You don't have to do it, Vienna, I'm fine and I have rested for an hour." He was about to stand up but I stared at him badly and he seemed scared of me.

"I'll be right back." I didn't wait for him to answer, I left the clinic immediately.

I keep wondering about my actions, I'm not that concerned about people I've only just met. Except for Therese, she's easy to get along with, unless I like Tine.

I was only walking halfway when a group of women stopped me on my way. There are six of them, and based on their ID, they are 4th-year students and I think they are one of Tine's die-hard fans.

"You're Tine's girlfriend, aren't you?" asked the one in the middle. This is probably their leader as if I would be afraid of them all.

"Are you Tine's girlfriend? Why don't we see you tailing him every day?" she asked again.

"What am I, a dog? That tails him every day, doesn't it look like you?" They all seemed annoyed because of my answer. Even though they are older than me, I don't care.

"Don't you even know us? We're older than you, learn to respect," one said angrily but I laughed out of nowhere. I sighed and faced the woman who spoke earlier.

"How can I respect you? if you can't respect me either. It's not fair you know that," I replied that making the six of them more annoyed. As if one of them wanted to pull my hair.

"You know, sisters, it's obvious that you're one of Tine's die-hard fans but my advice is don't act like you're one of his girlfriends. Can you just support him and don't step in about his personal life," I added.

"You're too much." The woman in the middle was about to come near me but she stopped. I wondered why, so I turned around to see who she had seen.

"All right, pull her hair and you won't like what I'm going to do to you and all of you," Tine said angrily. Suddenly, six women left in front of me. What? they are scared of Tine?

"Didn't they do anything to you? Are you okay?" Suddenly the expression on his face changed, replaced by worry.

"Why did you come out? I told you that I'll do it," I replied.

"And if I don't come out maybe what else can they do to you, sorry Vienna."

"I can fight, come on I'll take you back to the clinic." But he stopped me and suddenly put his arm around my shoulder.

"I don't want to stay there, just help me. Let's go, I know you're hungry." I couldn't answer because he had already started walking so I just supported him.

We arrived at the cafeteria, I'm thankful because there were only a few people and only a few noticed our presence. I made him sit on a chair at an empty table, I even like his caregiver. Then, I bought our food but I didn't even notice that Britt and Sebastian were there. Is the show over?

"Hi, Vienna how is Tine?" Enzo asked. I looked in Sebastian's direction but he was looking somewhere.

"He's fine," I replied.

I got the food I bought and went in Tine's direction. I also placed the menudo in front of him, steak and two rice and for me, fried chicken and one rice. I also gave him bottled water and coke. He just stared at me as I put the food in front of him.

"How much is all this? I'll pay," he said as I sat down.

"No need to worry, I've already paid it," I replied. He glared at me, but I give him a scornful look.

The two of us started to eat but I can't concentrate because Sebastian looked badly at me. I don't know, we haven't even been formally introduced to each other yet but the way he looked at me was as if I did something bad against him.

"Vienna why aren't you eating? Is there a problem?" Tine suddenly asked. It's good he didn't turn around to see where I was looking. I just shook my head in response, this Sebastian messing my mind.

After we ate lunch, Tine decided to go home so I took him out of the university. At first, he didn't agree but I insisted. I knew his knee was still hurt and he just really didn't want to bother me.

I breathed a sigh of relief when I entered the university, I was met by Therese and Michelle. And they both teased me again. It's annoying, they were happy while I was annoyed.

Now I’m with the two of them, we’re going to watch a band show. I'm excited because it's the first time I'll be able to watch it here at the university. We arrived at the venue of the event, I thought Sebastian was going to perform because that's what I heard earlier when we were going here but it wasn't.

They sang a sad song and it was like I just wanted to leave. I don't know why I lost interest to watch the show?

"Vienna, are you okay?" Therese asked while Michelle was enjoying the show.

"Let's go," I replied shortly.

"Huh? you wanted to go here and then we're leaving?" she said in shock. I didn't answer because she might be confused and I just listened even against my will.

The show ended. Maybe when I went to Tine on the field earlier, Sebastian and his bandmates started playing. And when I saw Britt and Enzo in the cafeteria, they finished performing. Why now I just thought about it? damn! It's wrong timing on what had happened earlier.

We are now walking out of the university, the first day of the Club Fair is over and the continuation of the event will be tomorrow.

"So Vienna my friend, what will you sing for the audition?" Michelle suddenly asked which surprised me.

"You don't know anything? How can you know it if all your attention was on Tine?" she added.

"We saw on the bulletin board earlier, all those who register at the Music Club will first go through an audition. How come in just one day up to 500 students joined? In other clubs, no one joined because of Sebastian, so Vienna prepare. The audition is on Thursday and you should pass," Therese explained to me.

I thought Tine's fans were even worse but Sebastian's fans were the worst.

"You can do that friend, Therese and I are just here, we will support you," Michelle said as she put her arm around my shoulder.

I'm not nervous or scared, I prefer that I can't pass so that I don't have any problems and I can focus on academics. But maybe this is destined to happen to me, so I won't waste the opportunity given to me. You can do this Vienna, just fight!
