Four

Aurelia ran away feeling like a failure. It was true, her father was very powerful, even stronger than the Alpha. His rare bloodline is wasted on her. She's a wasted seed. She should have been aborted rather than leave her to disgrace her father, Aurelia thought crying, she quickly picked up her bag and ran away. 

The security man didn't stop her. He was one of her father's men and knew how he doted on her. She ran to a nearby wood and cried herself to sleep. She remembered the assignment she was given. She was supposed to submit it tomorrow as it was vital in calculating her final results in high school. She stood up weakly and began to trek home.

 "So, you mean useless Aurelia was your mate?" Scarlett heard a boy say laughing.

 She immediately moved closer to the school garden to listen. 

"Pierce please stops! I will punch you. I wonder why I even told you. You better not let anyone hear it" Oliver said angrily. 

"Ok sorry. But man, she's beautiful, why did you immediately reject her. She could be your mistress, come on. Besides am sure her father will make her dowry generous. Enough to make you a billionaire" pierce said trying to convince him.

 "I know. I don't want it. Am not poor either, besides Scarlett is still the Beta's daughter".

"If you say so" pierce said chugging down his Barolo wine as he ate it with pork chops. 

"Excuse me, you mean Aurelia is your mate?" Scarlett asked her eyes wide with hurt and hate. 

 Oliver shivered and turned around. "No darling, it's not that. I already rejected her" Oliver said quickly facing Scarlett. 

Scarlett turned around trying to run home but Oliver quickly caught her "you think she's beautiful too, right?" Scarlett asked angrily. 

She had been crushing on Oliver for a while, even forcing him to make out with her and giving him head while trying to seduce him. 

" No dear, you are the prettiest" Oliver said hugging her. 

He feared the look in her eyes. 

She looked murderous, as if she wants to kill Aurelia. 

He immediately began to kiss her, rubbing her boobs and doing things he knows she likes. However, Scarlett pushed him away.

Unlike days when she begged for a kiss, she's rejecting it now that he's giving it freely. 

She was angry. "I will see you tomorrow" she said and stalked off. Oliver looked at his friend angrily and left.

Scarlett got home and threw her bag on her queen-sized bed. She felt like killing Aurelia. Just yesterday she and her mom discovered that Francis had willed his entire fortune and estate to Aurelia, he even employed a law firm to enforce it if the need arises. 

That was why he wanted to take Aurelia to the human world, he wanted to train her to succeed him in business as his heir.

 Why does he love that useless thing? Because of her late mother? What of my own mother right in front of him? All of my father's wealth belongs to me, his position and estate is mine. Oliver is mine. I will never let her get any of them. Scarlett thought angrily as an evil plan began to hatch in her mind.

Scarlett walked into Aurelia's room and opened it; Aurelia was sitting down with a tear-stained face. She scoffed and called out to Aurelia softly. 

"Aurelia" "oh Scarlett, are you home?"

"Won't we eat dinner tonight it's almost evening" Scarlett asked softly, uncharacteristically of her.

 "Am sorry, I will make dinner right away" Aurelia quickly said.

 "No forget it, I will make dinner tonight. You look terrible" Scarlett said smiling kindly.

"Are you serious?" Aurelia asked her eyes brightening.

"Of course. What are sisters for?" Scarlett replied smiling again.

"Thank you. Thank you dear" Aurelia said with eyes filled with gratitude. Scarlett nodded and left.

 "Finally, I have enough time to do my assignment" Aurelia said going to her desk and forgetting her sadness momentarily. Soon she was done with them. It has just been one hour. As she was packing up her books Scarlett came in with a plate of delicious looking pasta. 

Aurelia smiled and looked up. 

 Wow! So Scarlett can cook? But why is she being nice today? How weird. 

She hesitated to accept the food. Scarlett noticed her hesitation and smiled. 

"I heard you got rejected. Am sorry. I heard the pain of tearing the mate bond is enormous" Scarlett said with a look of empathy. 

Oh. No wonder she was being nice today. She cared about her after all. "It's nothing" Aurelia quickly assured her and took the plate of pasta and began to eat while Scarlett stood before her.

By the third bite, Aurelia quickly discovered that something was wrong with the meal, she looked up at Scarlett with an accusing look as she felt a sharp pang of pain in her belly. 

 "Do you feel uncomfortable? That's what you get for trying to steal my man" her sister Scarlett said smirking. 

"I didn't, he was mated to me. Besides, he already rejected me" Aurelia replied weakly with tears in her eyes. 

Blood seeped out from her lips. Her body has been through two major damages in a day, she may not be able to handle poison. 

"How could you." Aurelia began to say but Scarlett cut her off with a furious howl. 

"Shut up!" Scarlett shouted and slapped her. 

"You useless thing that can't even awaken her wolf, slutty brat, you are a disgrace to this family, you are better off dead" Scarlett said viciously as Aurelia coughed up blood and collapsed on the bed.

 Scarlett quickly dragged her out avoiding the CCTV cameras and took her to the back garden. 

She unlocked the side entrance and dragged her into the woods surrounding their house. 

She lifted her up aft raid that the dragging stains will leave a clue. 

She ran for an hour and stopped at the river in the woods. She quickly dragged the unconscious Aurelia into the deep end that opens up to the sea. 

"The currents will carry her straight to the sea. I hope the sharks and sea monsters are happy with the feast I prepared for them" Scarlett muttered washing off her hands.

Aurelia opened her eyes and stared at her sister who was trying to push her to the currents when she noticed Aurelia still floating.

 She looked up at Scarlett her eyes pleading for mercy from her sister. Aurelia can't swim on a normal day; besides she has been poisoned too, making her very weak. 

Her sister has sentenced her to death. 

Scarlett quickly ran home. 

She poured the pasta into the toilet and flushed it. 

She washed the plates well. She quickly burnt her clothes sneakily, so that the security guards in the mansion won't notice her. 

 Aurelia felt herself sinking as the water current hit her, again and again making her to lose balance. 

She opened her mouth to shout for help but only water rushed into her mouth. Tears welled up in her eyes as she felt her internal organs stretch as if they wanted to burst. She is tired of fighting.

 Dad! She called out to her father severally in her mind, as her mind yearned for his safe arms. 

She cried but felt herself losing consciousness. 

She was in extreme pain, both from the poison and drowning. 

She was afraid. 

There's nothing scarier than watching your impending death right before your eyes and being unable to do a thing. 

She resigned herself to her fate as she noticed that she was already at the seabed. 

The current pushed her towards a jagged rock and her skull collided with it, and at that moment she knew she was about to die.

 Her blood was dyeing the water red and she began to slip into darkness. She felt something tug at her waist. Is that a shark? 

God no! Is it really my fate to end up as shark dinner. She felt that thing encircle her waist. 

Sea python! No. This was the last thing on Aurelia's mind as she slipped into unconsciousness admits extreme fear. She had peed on herself before she lost Consciousness.
