"Lady, this room was booked under your ID," the man said softly. "And the room next door was where your husband had been staying the whole time.""I thought after my failed setup, you already knew the truth and had started sleeping separately from him. I didn't expect you were still completely in the dark..."His words cut into me like blades, each one striking the place where I was weakest. When I said nothing, he loosened his grip, turned me around to face him, and looked me over.My face was pale, tears streaming endlessly down my cheeks. I was so cold it felt like the chill had seeped into my bones. The sight clearly pleased him. Like a venomous snake luring its prey, he lowered his voice and said, "Lady, I'm willing to testify for you. I can even get the hotel surveillance footage proving your husband cheated. As long as..."I looked at him calmly, almost coldly."What do you want?"He smiled in a way that made my skin crawl."Just give me some money... and spend a few n

"Scream if you want. That is, if you're not afraid of embarrassing yourself," the man said with a smile, leisurely watching me struggle with nowhere to escape.A crushing sense of helplessness rose inside me.The more I fought back, the more excited he seemed to become. He pinned both my wrists above my head with one hand, forcing my chest forward and my neck back. Despair filled my face."Stop! My husband won't let you get away with this!"The man froze for a second at my words. Then his whole body began shaking. Not from fear. From laughter. He lifted his head, tears nearly forming in his eyes from how hard he was laughing. "Wait... you mean you're actually this clueless? You really have no idea, do you?"I stared at him blankly.Know what?"I have no idea what you're talking about!" I shouted. "Let me go!"He looked at me with growing amusement in his eyes.A bad feeling hit me instantly. I struggled to climb off the bed, but he suddenly scooped me up in his arms."Ah!

As the only daughter of the Cole family, I inherited everything after my parents died in a car accident last year. The man lifted my chin with a suggestive smile."The money is one thing. But there's something else…"His eyes swept slowly over my naked body."Whenever I want you from now on, you come when I call."I trembled with anger and slapped his hand away."You're disgusting!"The man only laughed, threw out a few more shameless remarks, then walked out the door.I curled up on the floor and wrapped my arms tightly around myself. What was I supposed to do?Growing up, my family and my husband had protected me too well. I had never truly understood how ugly people could be.Tears dripped onto the floor one after another. Then it suddenly hit me.Audrey had left with a man too.I hurriedly threw my clothes back on and rushed out of the room. A moment later, I found Audrey crying alone in the stairwell."Audrey…"I walked over and hugged her, tears spilling down my f

"I don't buy it. You two were just apart for a while, right? You should still be all over each other. Besides, with a body like yours, what man could possibly lose interest?"I bit my lip and stayed silent.A sly look flashed through Audrey's eyes. "Come on. I'm taking you somewhere."Audrey brought me to a private club. The moment we stepped into the golden lobby, I froze.A row of tall, handsome men stood waiting in the center hall, and the sight left me completely dumbfounded."What is this place?" I whispered, tugging at Audrey's sleeve. She wiggled her brows at me. "You've been holding back for a long time lately, haven't you?"My face instantly turned red. "Even so, you can't just…"Can't just find random men like this.I was still a married woman.Audrey looked at me and burst out laughing so hard her shoulders shook."It's just a massage to help you relax.""What were you thinking?" She gave my hip a teasing pat.Only then did I realize I had misunderstood. My fac

Just as my shirt was about to be pulled up, a sleepy middle-aged woman's voice suddenly rang out."Who's there?"The noise we had been making had finally disturbed someone in the opposite bunk. The man froze as well, lying motionless on top of me.My heart nearly leapt into my throat.Luckily, the person across from us only turned over, muttered a few complaints under her breath, then fell silent again. The other four passengers in our compartment also settled back into their bunks. The man lowered his head and bit lightly at the tip of my ear, his voice filled with frustration."See you next time, lady."He gave my backside a playful slap before pulling away and leaving.I lay there gasping for breath, unable to calm down for a long time. The next evening, when I finally saw my husband at the station, joy surged through me. At the same time, guilt twisted inside my chest, and I buried myself in his arms."Emma, you've had a rough trip."Hearing his gentle concern only mad

  • His Wife on the Train   Chapter 2

I covered my face, still half-asleep, as I stumbled toward my bunk.I don't even know how many times I got groped on the way. These migrant workers riding the old green-skin train hadn't seen a woman in years. A woman like me–an eye-catching one–suddenly appearing in their midst instantly brought out their true natures. As soon as I stepped into the sleeper area, a wave of foul stench nearly knocked me out. This tiny space was packed full of men.The moment they saw me enter, all of them sat up. Their eyes swept over me shamelessly. One short man even jumped down, snatched my luggage from my hands, and before I could react, squeezed straight into my arms."Beautiful lady, let me put your luggage up for you.""I… I can do it myself."Seeing one of them already taking advantage of me, the other three could not sit still either. They jumped down from their bunks and surrounded me, trapping me in the middle. Their hard, muscular chests pressed so tightly against me that I could bare
