Leaving Home

MIDNIGHT

It's getting late again and the rain isn't ready to stop but Mark is nowhere to see. He is still outside and I'm freaking out worried for him, more than last night. Because the weather report said on TV that the rain will not stop tonight and there are several accidents taking place on the roads. So, they asked people to stay home. My friends also canceled their plans after the weather turned more dangerous and a red flag was declared by the news, all around the city.

I tried to call and text Mark many times throughout the whole day. However, there is no response at all. He didn't pick up my call even after ringing many times. How could he do that? At least tell me yes, I'm fine. But No. He is making me all worried.

"Damn you, Mark!" I cussed him out of anger while my eyes looked at the bad weather and rain from my room's window.

I thought to try the last time to call him before finally leaving it. But to my amazement, suddenly I heard the main doorbell ring
