KENDRA

It was much later on in the night and Gabriel, and I were both sitting in the lounge and going over some work stuff.

He had made it clear that he was going to be spending the night here, and for once I didn’t complain.

Makayla made some strong coffee for both of us, before she got ready to leave, as she was going out on a date with this guy who she had met online.

“Why don’t you guys watch something together, I mean all you do is work” she said with a small smile as she put on her jacket.

“Work is always more important” I said before I finished adding the last touches to my upcoming presentation that I was going to present to some senior members of my team.

Gabriel leaned back against the couch and gently massaged the back of his neck, before he picked up his big mug of coffee.

“Makayla’s right, we could do with a short break” he said before he closed his laptop and made himself more comfortable.
