Born into a family of crime and scandals, Kendra Knight was the stunning strong-willed daughter of Johnathan Knight who was arranged to marry Elias Richardson, the eldest son of Tyrell Richardson. The Richardsons and the Knights, were two of London’s most powerful and wealthiest of families had been at war with each other for over a decade. It was only up until recently they both decided that the only way to end this dispute and secure their financial futures was by getting both of their eldest children married and putting aside their differences. Elias was the kind of guy who didn’t take life too seriously and lived by his own rules, whilst Kendra was the complete opposite. She liked to work hard and reach for the stars. There was only one thing she wanted and that was to become the heir to her father’s multi billionaire company, and she was going to do everything in her power to make sure she got that position, even if it meant agreeing to a fake marriage. A marriage that came with one rather strange condition. Every night they must come home to each other and share the same bed, no matter what happened or where they were. For how long would they both be able to resist and not give in to their sinful temptations? Would they find the missing piece of their lives in each other and fall in love, or will they free themselves from the other the moment their marriage contract ends and go their own separate ways?

It was after dinner, and I was heading upstairs to bed when I heard my father’s voice roar throughout the entire house loudly.
I walked towards his office and stood outside the door, thinking it wasn’t the first time I had heard him speaking this way to my brother Kaleb.
Kaleb was my younger twin and the heir of my father’s multi-billionaire drug business, but unlike me he didn’t care about money or reputation.
He loved partying and enjoying life to the fullest, which often got him into trouble, just like today.
“If I ever find you in a club again, watch what happens” I heard my father Jonathan shout as loud as he could, making my heart shudder.
“You can’t stop me from having fun, I don’t care about you or your stupid business” Kaleb said moments later, without any care in the world.
I heard some footsteps and before my father did something he would come to regret, I quickly barged into the office and looked at the gun he was holding in his hand.
“No papa you can’t do this” I said before I quickly stood in front of Kaleb, thinking I couldn’t lose him, he was all I had.
I love him dearly and there was nothing I wouldn’t do for him to keep him safe.
“Move out the way or I’ll shoot you to” father said emotionlessly.
Even though he was our biological father, I sometimes wondered if he actually was because of the way he treated us compared to his other kids.
“Then shoot me” I said, earning myself a look from Kaleb as he knew father might even do it.
He tried to pull me back, but I didn’t move, I wanted to protect him with all my heart.
“This tongue of yours will get you killed one day” Father warned me before he lowered his gun and glared at me and Kaleb both.
I walked over to him and looked up into his cold eyes that looked like they had seen more pain than love over the years.
“Until then I will do what I can to protect the ones I love” I said before I told Kaleb to leave as I wanted to talk to him alone.
I waited for the door to close after him before I looked up at father,
“You know he isn’t mentally well, yet you still treat him this way” I said before I ruffled my hair, thinking there was no such a thing as peace in this house.
Father sat back down on his chair and looked at me with a frown on his face,
“I don’t believe in any of that crap, he is fine, if he can party, he can run a business” he said coldly.
It wasn’t the first time I had heard him say that and knew it would most definitely not the last either as he always liked to drop it in every conversation.
“Well maybe you should, because a person could look fine from the outside, but be hurting from the inside” I replied quickly, my large brown eyes not leaving his.
I knew father hated it when I sided Kaleb, I could see it in his cold blue eyes.
“If you’re done defending him you may leave” he said before he pulled out a cigarette and lit it quickly.
Instead of leaving I walked over to him and looked down at him,
“Goodnight papa” I said before I wrapped both of my arms around him and hugged him tightly, hoping he didn’t push me away like he always did.
Just when I thought he wouldn’t, he did, and it hurt. I always tried my best to be there for him and Kaleb, but sometimes it felt like it just wasn’t enough.
I longed for the day he hugged me back and held me in his arms tightly, just like how he used to do when I was a little girl.
It was just a few minutes later when I made my way back upstairs. I walked towards Kaleb’s room and prayed he was inside, even though I had a feeling he had probably sneaked out once again.
I turned the knob and felt my stomach sink the moment I realised he wasn’t there.
“This guy will be the end of me” I thought to myself before I quickly hurried to my room and changed out of my clothes, thinking I’ll bring him home before father realises, he was even gone.
I walked to my closet and quickly picked out a nice short dress before I put it on and ruffled my glossy brown hair that reached my waist.
I touched up on my lipstick and looked at myself in the mirror, thinking tonight was not the night I wanted to go out as it was raining heavily, and I hated the cold weather of London.
Half an hour later and I had finally arrived at the club where Kaleb liked to hang out at often.
I was wearing a nice fuchsia pink coloured sequined dress that had thin straps and nicely clung to my body.
It was the perfect dress to fit in with the crowds and I just hoped no one tried making a move on me, because I was in no mood to entertain anyone.
I had no time for men or relationships and just preferred to fuck and leave, but not tonight, tonight I needed to get my brother home before father even realised, he was gone.
I stepped out of my expensive looking car and handed my key to the tall valet guy, not missing his wandering eyes as he checked me out shamelessly.
“I’ll call you when I’m ready to leave” I told him before I walked up to the fancy looking club, and showed my id to the two burly security guards that were standing at the entrance.
They allowed me in pretty quickly and I couldn’t be more glad as the rain was coming down fast and had almost soaked me through.
“Hey pretty lady, let’s dance” a young guy who looked in his early twenties said as loud upbeat music played in the background.
I didn’t spare him a second glance and kept walking towards the front, thinking Kaleb had to be here somewhere.
The crowds seemed much bigger than normal, and I wondered if someone famous was in town, as usually the club wasn’t that busy, on a weekday.
I found Kaleb sitting around a leather booth with a few of his friends who were all drinking, talking and simply enjoying each other’s company.
“And look who we have here” one of them said, bringing everyone’s attention to me, but Kaleb’s as he was too busy bopping his head to the music.
I looked past them and straight at Kaleb, thinking he wasn’t doing anything wrong, but father was right, he needed to get himself together, for his future.
“Kaleb, I need to talk you” I said as I stepped over a few of his friends and sat down next to him, hoping he didn’t get annoyed.
It took Kaleb a moment to realise that I was there,
“What are you doing here?” he asked with a small smile that told me he wasn’t annoyed to see me.
I took the glass of drink from his hand and quickly gulped it down, making a few of his friends whistle as it was clear they weren’t expecting me to do that.
“I came to save your ass, now let’s go before papa finds out we’re not home” I said as I felt the alcohol run down the inside of my throat.
Kaleb ordered some more drinks and looked at me with a small smile,
“I’m not going anywhere, not until my man Elias hit’s the stage” he said.
I moved all of my long hair over one shoulder and looked at him, wondering who the hell was Elias and why he wanted to see him so much.
“Elias?” I asked with one of my perfectly arched brows raised ever so slightly.
Kaleb passed him a glass of coke and looked at me amused,
“Yes, aka the best singer in town, he’s performing tonight” he said with the excitement clear in his voice.
I wondered what was so amazing about this Elias guy that my brother was willing to risk losing his life for, even though I had also taken an instant liking to his name as it sounded nice and catchy.
Only when the crowds got louder, I followed their voices and looked towards the stage and up at the man who everyone seemed to be waiting for so eagerly.
MAKAYLAIt had been a few days since that incident at the park, when one of the triplets had been taken by Elias for a few minutes. I don’t know why he had done what he did but what I did know was that I needed to talk to Hayden and get some answers about what he had told me about himself and Elias the other day. All he had told me was that he was a vampire and so was Elias and that was the last thing I had heard before I fainted and my whole world turned black. When I woke up, I had my head in Hayden’s lap, but I had no idea how I had got there. As soon as realisation hit me, I quickly moved away and ran out of his apartment, without even giving him a chance to explain himself further. But today I had rang him and told him that we needed to talk, and so here I was, sitting inside a nice little coffee shop, waiting for him patiently. The place smelt of delicious fresh bakes and I couldn’t wait for him to arrive, so I could order myself a nice moist vanilla sponge cupcake that was
It was the following morning, and I was busy doing some work on my laptop in the kitchen, whilst enjoying the nice hot drink that Ivana had made for me before she left with the triplets. The weather in London was cold and wet, and I was dressed in a good few layers to keep myself warm.Ivana had taken the triplets out for a few hours and so I decided to get some work done on my laptop, seeing as it was still a bit early to head into the office. I was busy replying to some emails when Makayla walked into the kitchen and stopped when she saw me sitting at the small dining table. “Morning” I said before I took a small sip of my drink, wondering if she would bring up what had happened last night. I still couldn’t believe that she was the one who had heard me playing with myself, seeing as Ivana had made it clear that she didn’t leave the kids room at any point. “Good morning, where are the kids?” Makayla asked before she helped herself to a small juice carton from the fridge. “Ivana
KENDRAI couldn’t remember the last time I had met up with my family for dinner, but now that I was here, I was glad I had come as there was a few work related things that I wanted to talk to father and Kaleb about and what better day to do it, then today. It had been almost two years since dad had got rid of his wife Megan and my half brother Jacob after he had found out that they both were the reason Kaleb had ended up in a medical coma. Maya my younger half sister split her time between both parents, but sometimes I felt like the only reason she kept in contact with father was because he funded her expensive lifestyle, something her own mother and brother couldn’t do.Till this day we still didn’t know how Kaleb had survived and made it out alive, when all the odds were placed against him and we were told to prepare ourselves for the worst. He was a living and walking miracle and we were all glad to have him back in our lives. “Ok who wants to feed me some food?” he asked the tr
MAKAYLAToday was the day I was finally going to see Elias, and I couldn’t wait as I knew I needed to see him in person to believe that my brother was actually alive and breathing. Hayden had rang me last night and told me to meet him at his apartment and to bring the triplets. “I can’t bring them without Kendra’s permission” I told him, but he didn’t listen and said this was what Elias wanted and that if I wanted to see him then I had to do as he said. I knew Kendra wouldn’t mind me taking the kids out for a few hours, but if she found out where I was really taking then she wouldn’t be happy. “You sure you want to take all three of them at the same time?” she asked me the moment I reached downstairs and found her giving the triplets their dinner. “Yes, you don’t worry about the kids and just enjoy your evening Ken” I said with a small smile before I looked over at the triplets, thinking they looked adorable, sitting in their usual seats. “Where are we going?” Konrad asked befor
KENDRAIt was the following morning, and I woke up to Gabriel sleeping next to me, with both of his arms wrapped around the lower half of my naked body tightly. Late last night I had texted the kids nanny Ivana and asked her if she could take the triplets out for a few hours in the morning as I knew I would be super tired when I woke up and I wasn’t wrong. My entire body was aching and all I wanted to do was sleep for another few hours. Without waking Gabriel up, I gently moved his arms from around my body and walked to the bathroom, thinking I’ll have a quick shower and then start my day with a strong coffee. I washed my face and looked at myself in the mirror, not missing the small love marks that Gabriel had left all around my neck, a painful reminder that everything that had happened last night was real and not just a dream as I hoped it to be. Even though I had everything in life, something still felt like it was missing. I was at the height of my career, making more money
HAYDENIt had been a few years but the woman who I had once loved still looked as good as I remembered with her dark curly hair, almond shaped eyes and soft plump looking lips. “Good now let’s go and talk somewhere quiet” I said before I pulled up the collars of my jacket and lead the way out of the restaurant that was getting ready to close. Makayla followed reluctantly, with her heart beating even more faster than before. “How are you even alive?” she asked before we even reached my black sleek car that had tinted windows all around. I opened the car door for her and waited for her to climb in before I got in from the other side and drove to a secluded area nearby. “You still haven’t answered my question” she said a few minutes later and that’s when I realised that I wasn’t alone. I switched off the car before I turned all of my attention towards her, thinking I had so much to tell her, but I didn’t know where to start without giving away too much information. “What if I told
