I chuckled, focusing on the road again.

I stopped the car in front of a restaurant as I led her inside.

"Good day Sir and ma'am, Here sir..", The manager nodded as he guided us along the way.

She walked quietly beside me, biting her lips as she tried to match my pace.

She gasped as we walked towards the hallway.

A gush of wind blew her and her hair moved freely in the soft breeze.

The beach was looking so beautiful under the moon light while its waves were touching the shore.

She was mesmerized at the view.

We arrived at a beautiful table that had wooden pillars delicately wrapped in a transparent net.

The candles were lit on it.

I looked down at her smile.

Her eyes were bright like a child.

She was lost in the beauty of the view.

I moved behind her taking out my gift I especially customized for her.

She boggled as she felt my presence behind her.

She touched the diamond necklace with the pores of her fingers.

There were initials of her name and my name.

"I am sorry Ivy" I whispered, holding her waist from behind.

"I never meant to make you this scared. I'm sorry for pointing a gun at you. I never meant to kill you. I was just trying...", I paused.

“I shouldn't have treated you the way I did, you didn't deserve any of that harsh treatment. Please forgive me sweetheart, I'll try to treat you better from now on I assure you.”

I felt a drop of liquid fall on my hand.

I turned her around only to see her eyes full of tears.

"Sweetheart..." I rubbed her hair.

WAS SHE HURT THIS MUCH?

"I....I thought... I thought I did something wrong... I thought you were going to punish.. I thought you were going to leave me after this.."

she suddenly burst into tears as I cupped her face in my hands.

It was painful somehow to watch her cry

"No... No.. baby… I wouldn't do that again, forgive me for what I did earlier, I'm sorry", I whispered as I hugged her.

"I will always be here. Here with you. You are mine."

We stood there silently as she was crying into my chest.

it seemed like there was no one in this world except her and me.

Waves were gently crawling hitting the shore going back as the soft wind was blowing ruffling our hair.

Then the waiter coughed behind us.

Our food had arrived.

It was the best day of life.

I was surprised at how soft he could be.

He was treating me so nicely today.

He talked to me about so many things.

For the first time, I felt free.

I felt like I knew him.

I didn't feel scared around him.

I felt so different.

I feared in the back of my mind that this might be a dream.

He fed me as we ate together.

He watched me eat and made silly jokes.

He made me laugh for the first time.

I was happy.

I am happy.

He stopped the car in the driveway as he opened the door kissing my hand before letting me out.

It felt weird but certainly beautiful.

He took me out lifting me in his arms but he suddenly halted.

I followed his eye direction and looked at where he was looking.

A lady was standing in front of us.
