Chapter 5 Becoming a Shareholder

"Crap! Brace yourselves! The crazy woman is coming out!" shouted someone in the crowd.

The doorway to the bathroom became chaotic again.

Everyone was prepared to beat the crazy woman up. However, the person who walked out surprised them.

A tall, beautiful young woman with a great figure came out of the bathroom.

She had just taken a shower and was wearing a multicolored tank top and shorts. She had no makeup on, but she looked gorgeous.

Her beautiful eyes were filled with confusion as she looked at everyone. The mole under her eye made her look more alluring.

"What are you doing?" Her dreamy voice snapped everyone out of their stunned state.

"Is there anyone else in there?"

"Is there a strange woman in there?"

The young woman shook her head. "No. I was the only one in there."

Everyone else immediately became speechless.

A crazy woman had clearly gone into the bathroom. How had she vanished into thin air?

"She can't be a ghost, right?"

The crowd felt a chill run down their spines as soon as someone said that.

How could someone vanish without a trace? Besides, so many people had seen her earlier. They couldn't think of any other explanation. She had to be a ghost!

At first, everybody wanted to get to the bottom of the situation. But when they realized they had ventured into uncharted territory, they ran off like the wind. They couldn't even stay and appreciate the young woman's beauty anymore.

After that incident, a rumor that the bathroom was haunted spread like wildfire. But that was a story for a later time.

The following morning, Lana woke up to the sound of Nadia screaming.

She scrambled out of bed as fast as she could. "What's the matter, Aunt Nadia?"

"Who are you? Where's Lana?"

So that was what it was!

Lana immediately laughed. "Aunt Nadia, I'm Lana."

"You?" Nadia's eyes were filled with confusion. "How could you be Lana?"

If Nadia remembered it correctly, Lana's makeup and fashion style were rather unconventional.

But the young woman in front of her had a simple, multicolored tank top and shorts on. She had gorgeous features and a fair complexion. She had no makeup on, but she still looked incredibly beautiful.

Her elegance was unlike any other. She looked better than those superstars.

How could such an angelic person be Lana?

"Here, these are the clothes I changed out of," said Lana.

Seeing that Nadia didn't seem to believe her, Lana had no choice but to prove her identity.

Nadia glanced at the bag Lana had thrown on the floor. Other than the over-the-top clothes, there was also a pink goth big hairdo wig in there. That was exactly how Lana had been dressed yesterday!

"Is it really you, Lana?" Nadia found it too unbelievable. "You're so beautiful. Why did you dress up like that?"

Lana shrugged and said with a faint smile, "I couldn't help it. I was doing someone a favor."

Seeing that Lana didn't wish to explain any further, Nadia didn't press her for more details.

The two had a simple breakfast. Afterward, Lana changed into a simple white T-shirt and a pair of light blue denim shorts. She put her hair up in a bun as well.

She looked youthful, beautiful, and capable. Just as she put on her small backpack, Nadia asked, "Where are you going, Lana?"

Lana looked back and put on a mysterious smile. "I'm going to make money!"

Both of them were worthless. How was Lana going to make money?

Nadia was incredibly afraid Lana would go down the wrong path for the sake of making money. She quickly grabbed her jacket and said, "I'll go with you."

Lana could tell that Nadia was worried. She turned back and made Nadia sit on the couch again.

"Don't worry, Aunt Nadia. I won't mess around. Rest reassured and relax at home."

As Lana said that, she pulled out a knee warmer from somewhere, like magic. "Put this on your injured leg. You have to keep it warm. Then, your old wound won't hurt all the time."

It took Nadia a while to realize something, but Lana had already left. How did Lana know her leg was always hurting?

Lana went downtown immediately after she headed out.

By the time she arrived, it was already lunchtime.

She found a restaurant along the most bustling street.

Unlike other packed restaurants, this restaurant's location and decor weren't bad, but it had no customers at all.

She went in and ordered their signature mushroom pasta.

It was clear at a glance that the boss was the person running everything at the restaurant. He was in charge of cooking, cleaning up, and manning the cashier.

Soon, the pasta was served. As expected, it tasted horrible.

Lana took a bite and spat it out. Then, she asked for the bill.

The boss was well aware of the quality of his food, so he didn't dare to complain.

He even urged Lana, saying, "I know my pasta is hard to swallow. But it took a great deal of effort to make. It can be on the house, but can you just finish it instead of letting it go to waste?"

Lana raised her eyebrows a little. She was clearly surprised.

This man wanted her to appreciate the hard work that had gone into making the food when they were at an age where people only cared about the results.

It looked like he could still be saved. This was exactly the kind of business partner Lana was looking for.

"If I can revive your restaurant, can you let me become a shareholder without investing money?"

The boss looked up and scrutinized Lana once again after hearing that.

Truth be told, she was too young. She looked quite good, but her promise was too bold.

His restaurant used to be the most popular one on the street. It had been second to none.

That was before his chef had been poached by someone who offered a high salary. His business had suffered greatly after that. At the moment, he couldn't even afford to hire a waiter.

Unless his business improved by the following month, he might not even be able to afford the rent anymore.

He was a middle-aged man who had a family to feed. As long as he still had a way, he would hang on with all his might.

Lana could tell from the boss' complicated expression that he didn't believe her. It seemed that she had to prove herself to him.

Before the boss could reject Lana, he saw the beautiful young woman with a strange personality suddenly go to his kitchen.

"What are you doing?"

By the time he rushed over, Lana had already washed her hands and was busy cooking on the stove.

At first, he wanted to stop her. But after he saw how experienced Lana was in the kitchen, he suddenly changed his mind.

He should just give it a try. What could be worse than the restaurant's current situation?

Not long after that, Lana served him a plate of pasta. "Please try my cooking, sir."

Of course, people who could open a pasta restaurant would need to have a certain understanding of pasta.

Lana's pasta was so simple that it looked like a child could make it.

Other than some simple herbs, there were no other ingredients at all. How could it be edible?

However, as soon as he took a whiff of the pasta, he was stunned. He looked mind-blown.

The pasta looked simple, but it was extremely fragrant.

Without saying a thing, he quickly took a bite.

It had been cooked to perfection. It was firm with a slight chew.

Even though he sold pasta, this was also the first time he had eaten such delicious pasta.

He cleaned the plate very quickly and was left wanting more. He asked, "How did you make this?"

Lana answered domineeringly, "If you let me become a shareholder without investing money, I'll teach you."
