"No, thanks!" Romana quickly declined.

"I am pretty well! It's just a minor injury. Surely it will go away with a cold compress," she added.

His expression conveyed surprise at her manner. They are close to each other 'cause he is the doctor who treats her mother and he is also the doctor who has served the longest in this hospital that she also owns so probably he didn't expect her to raise her voice.
