Summer has just told us that there is a storm coming in and that we are set to be stuck in it for rather a long time. To say that I am not pissed off at Devan is an understatement.
"Nice going, Devan. What did you say again? What is the worst that can happen?"
"Mat, phone Bruce and tell him we are going to be late."
"I don't think your phone is gonna work out here."
"What does work out here?"
"Not much; that is why everyone comes and sits in here or the bar."
And, of course, this is the first thing that has caught Devan's attention in the past five minutes. "Where is the bar?"
"Down the road, but you won't make it in time."
"Seems like today is Aaron's lucky day." Matson smiles at me with that damn stupid smirk on his face.
"Fuck off, Matson."
"Well, I will check on you in a bit again." She says as she is about to turn and leave. "If you want something to eat, just let me know."
"Oh, I think Aaron definitely wants something to eat."
"Matson, shut your mouth."
"What would you like, Aaron?" she innocently asks me; the poor girl does not know what these two idiots are talking about.
"I will let you know in a little bit."
When she walks away, I find myself staring at her ass again, but then I notice her legs, I would love them around my neck. They are perfectly shaped; it looks like she looks after her body, and it is all-natural. Damn, I want this girl now.
"What is wrong with me? She is making me frustrated here."
"She is hot," Matson says as he too looks in her direction. "Stop thinking she is innocent, and then you will see how hot she is."
"I want her."
"There is a storm coming. We have lots of time, and you won't hear the noise."
"What if she is a virgin? I am sure she does not want to give it to some stranger in a damn bathroom."
"You overthinking this."
Matson kicks me under the table as she comes back to the table with three more beers.
"Thanks, honey. Why don't you sit here with us for a bit," I hear Matson asks, and I swear my damn heart stops.
"Oh, we are really not allowed to."
"If your boss has a problem, tell her to come to talk to me. I will sort her out."
"Okay, I will just squeeze in here next to Aaron."
Her skin touched mine, she feels so damn soft, and she smells so good. There I go again. I want her so badly; she has to be mine today.
"Why is such a pretty girl working out here in the middle of nowhere?"
"My dad and I live here, but I have been saving up to go to the city. I will go mad if I have to live here my whole life."
"If you come to the city, you must come to pop in and say hello."
"I definitely will. Can I ask you something?"
"Of course, baby."
"Can I touch your arms, your tattoos? I think they are beautiful."
She takes my arm and starts running her fingers over me. Her touch is soft; it feels like butterflies tickling my skin. It sends warmth through my body. I see Matson smile at me cause he knows exactly what this girl is doing to me.
"You okay over there, Aaron?" he even dares to ask.
"Yes, you look like you are gonna pop." Devan joins in their stupid little joke.
"I am going to pop both of you if you won't shut up."
And if I ever thought she was shy, she is definitely not, for she is still running her fingers over me while she speaks to me. "The other girls are scared of you, but I think you are very cute."
"Thanks, baby. I think you are gorgeous."
"I think you meant hot," Devan says.
"Fucking hot." Matson follows.
"Ignore them. They are just damn rude."
Then she excuses herself from the table to go to the ladies, and as she stands from her chair, I feel her legs brush against mine, and it sends me raging. I don't want to leave here today.
"Go," Devan shows me to get up and go after her. "Go meet her in the bathroom. Just kiss her or something."
I get up and walk on over to the bathroom. As I turn the corner, she walks out. I feel like an idiot around this girl; she makes everything mush. I have never felt this before.
"Hey Aaron, fancy walking into you here."
"What a weird coincidence."
"Can I ask you something now?
"Of course you can."
"Can I kiss you?"
"You want to kiss me?"
"Yes, you."
"Uhm, I, yes, you can."
Our lips brush softly against each other. Her lips are soft and delicately. They dance against me like butterfly wings. I pull away, hesitating for a moment. She felt new, yet oddly familiar, Her lips seemed molded to the shape of mine. My hands curled around her so perfectly as if they were made just for her. She tastes like passion, like pure, unrestrained passion and I want more.
Then we begin to close the gap even more than before. What begins as a small peck becomes more passionate. The rest of the world spins so fast it becomes non-existent. I lean even further into her and my body melts into hers. It is as if I can feel a fire blazing within me, out of control. We are completely and utterly in sync in this very moment.
Everything about her is perfect. The sheer softness of her hair as I run my hands through it. The taste of sweet cotton candy that lingers on her lips. Her breath that warms my cheek. The way she plays with the hair at the back of my head that tickles my neck.
She presses her lips against mine even harder. Lightning passes through me. I feel lost in a different universe and she is slowly taking me away. Her cold hand creeps from my neck down my spine and pulls me closer. Her touch makes my body shiver. Her delicate, innocent kiss makes my heart flutter. Then it races. My body surrenders. I let her kiss me as long as she wants. Every time I let go, I go back and kiss her again softly.
"Aaron."
"Sorry, baby, I got a bit carried away there."
"No one has ever kissed me like that before. It felt so nice."
"It is not nice; it is amazing."
"I must get back to work, but I will see you guys now."
She walks away, leaving me rather uncomfortable. I wait a moment before I go back to the table.
"You little slut." Deven shamelessly says. "What did you do to the girl? she looks flustered."
"I only kissed her but believed me, if I could have, I would have done more.”
"And is she any good?"
"She is hot, but I think she is definitely still a virgin."
"She is on her way here."
She comes to stand at the edge of the table, and I swear my heart skips a beat. "Some of the other girls want to come to sit here if that is okay?"
"Bring them." Matson jumps at the opportunity. "I am starting to feel lonely here. They can even sit on my lap."
"Ignore them. They are a bunch of idiots."
As the other girls come to sit at our table, I let her move closer to me. "Where did you learn how to kiss like that?"
"I didn't; you, the first man that has kissed me."
"You serious?"
"Yes, I am still a virgin."
"Oh shit, I am sorry I did that."
"Don't be; I wanted to."
"So, you have never had a boyfriend?"
"I have, but we just did not do that."
Now I build a conscience. Since when I do, I don't know. I am acting like a damn schoolboy. I want her, but I am not going to take her. And then she says the words that I did not want to hear come so soon.
"Guess you guys are in luck; the storm has cleared."
"We still lost, though."
"Oh, I got one of the old guys here to draw you a map where to go."
"You are an angel, baby."
"I will just grab your bill; then you can be off." She runs off for a minute; then she is back at our table again. "Here, you guys go. It was really nice to have met you. Thanks for spending time with me Aaron, I doubt I will ever forget this day."
"Give me your number so I can phone you some time."
"I will give you my home one."
"Oh yes, cellphones don't work around here."
I pay the bill leaving her my number and an eleven hundred dollar tip. We get up and head out the door; I turn around one last time and smile at her. Then we in the car and on the road again, leaving the dinky toy diner behind, watching it fade away in the rearview mirror.
"What just happened there."
Summer is gone.I am torturing myself with so many what if's. What if she has left me? What if someone took her? What if she has gone back to Sammy? What if she has gone after my mom? What if. What if. What if.
So it has come to this, the end, the end of the game, the end of my life. They say that at the end of a game there has to be a winner and a loser. And that every story has to come to an end. Is this my end? Is my game up? Has my life come to an end? But then there is that cliché saying that with every end there is a new beginning. Whichever way you look at it, whether you live or eventually die things will always come to an end.Summer ~”AARON …AARON ARE YOU OKAY? ...BABY WAKE UP…AARON.”&nb
Fate is what takes you down that road you ever so often avoid to take. Take for instance landing up down a deserted road at a diner. At the time I had no idea that it was where I was supposed to be with who I am meant to be, doing what I should be doing...falling in love.I wish I could have blamed gravity but the truth was I fell in love. I fell deeper and deeper until I reached the deepest point. In the middle of all my chaos, there she was. You can call it destiny or you can call it fate, the point is you will fall in love with the most unexpected person at the most unexpected time.
Sometimes the smallest turn in the wrong direction ends up being the biggest turn of your life.If you asked me a month ago where I would be today, this would have been my last possible answer. The road of life will take you down an unexpected place but in the end it is exactly the place you should be.
Summer ~”GUYS!!! GET YOUR FUCKING ASSES TO THE FRONTDOOR!!! NOW!!!”We grab our guns off the kitchen counter and head to the front door. In less than thirty-seconds we are standing weapons ready behind Summer.Who ever said that things don't fall out of the sky surely spoke a load of shit, because this surely did. We are completely dumb struck, not one of us can utter a word.
Today my life will change. I am about to give up everything for two woman that will matter the most in my life. The one I will protect with my own life and the other, well I won't rest until I find her. If you ask me tomorrow to choose again, then I will definitely choose the same.Lovers on the run that is what I would like to call us now. I can't care if we are on the run as long as I am on the run with her. We might have been apart for a week but hell I love this woman still. No matter how much I say I love her, I will always love her more than that.
