New Friend

"Okay, thanks for your help today. I was really helped, excuse me!" Nina said who was ready to leave Aiden's house, something Aiden had been waiting for since 60 minutes ago.

"Yes, go home!" Aiden who had been waiting for it so much, smiled and opened the door to his house, letting go of the most troublesome guest in the world.

Nina who had only taken a few steps, stopped just as Aiden was about to close the door again.

"W-wait!"

"What else?"

"Uhm...that, where is the nearest stop?"

"In front of the building, you immediately turn right and walk about 100 meters"

"Apparently it is far?"

"So, why? You want to be driven home?"

"Hahaha..." Nina laughed awkwardly. An onslaught of pleading gazes began to appear before Aiden's eyes.

Aiden really hates this, whenever someone tries to seduce him using this method, Aiden will not be able to resist.

"No! You go home alone!"

"B-but it's late and it's still drizzling outside, don't you feel sorry for me?"

"Why should I pity you? You just used me for money!"

"Come on, don't bring that up again. I beg you, Aiden. We're friends, right?"

"What? Friends? Since when have I been friends with you?"

"Don't smile so disgustingly, it's ridiculous!"

Aiden immediately closed the door to his apartment. Meanwhile Nina stood frozen in place, just as the cold wind blew around her neck.

"Oh my God!" Nina thought. Reluctantly, she stepped alone, walking towards the elevator that would take her down to the ground floor.

Meanwhile Aiden who had regained his composure, went into the room and took off the t-shirt he had been wearing since the afternoon.

Blaaar...

Lightning struck hard, a sad face appeared in his mind. Aiden who was trying to relax, started to get restless when a strong wind began to blow, blowing the window curtains. Aiden glanced at the clock on the table which showed 8:00 pm. Although it's actually not too late at night, the streets around this apartment are quite quiet.

"Leave it alone, it's not my problem!" He thought as he relaxed again laying his body on a very soft and comfortable bed.

Blaaar...

For the umpteenth time thunder struck again followed by lightning that shone brightly.

"Agh damn it! I'm not calm because of that crazy woman!" He shouted nervously. Aiden's mind is filled with various bad thoughts, considering that 'Mr Banana' is quite beautiful and there is a possibility that he will be disturbed by bad people.

He had to get up from his place and put his t-shirt and jacket back on. After getting ready, he immediately came out of his apartment and followed Nina.

He looked at the very dark sky while opening his umbrella, he quickly walked towards the bus stop and hoped that the woman was still there in good condition.

It started to rain, about 5 meters before the bus stop. Aiden saw a woman standing, as well as a man who looked suspicious.

"What is he doing?" He thought. Aiden's steps quickened when he noticed something was wrong.

"Hey, what do you want?" Asked Aiden who stood proudly like a hero.

The man turned his head back, looking at the man who was much taller than him.

"Tsk, damn it!" The man grumbled as he walked away as if doing nothing.

Nina looked terrified, her trembling body suggesting that the man might be bothering or threatening her.

"Are you okay?"

"Y-yes, thank you."

"Come on!"

"Where?"

"I'll take you home. But we must back to the apartment parking to to pick up the car!"

"Okay!" Aiden aimed his umbrella, directly above Nina's head.

The rain was falling harder, Nina glanced at Aiden who was walking beside her holding an umbrella. In her eyes, at this moment Aiden looked very cool.

"Okay, come on in!"

"Are you sure you want to take me home?"

"Why are you still asking?"

"Yeah, that's fine. I just-" Nina got into the car a little awkwardly because a few minutes ago, she had been so impressed with what Aiden had done to her.

"Where do you live?" Aiden asked as he drove his car.

"I live in a small apartment near my campus."

"You live alone?"

"No, I live with two of my friends."

"Is that so? Can I ask you something?"

"What?"

"Where are you from? Because you don't seem American."

"I'm from the Philippines, I'm here to study."

"Philippines?"

"Yeah, don't tell me you don't know where the Philippines is?"

"Hahaha... you think I'm stupid? Of course I know where it is!"

"Where? Guess what?"

"In the Middle East."

"Middle East? Hahahaha... you idiot! What were you doing at your school? You must be waiting for lunch, right?"

"That's right!"

"Huh? Really?"

"Yes, I am. But I am a genius in my school. Since elementary school, I have always ranked first in all classes." He said proudly, praising himself.

"Impossible!"

"Why can't it be? Do I look stupid?"

"I see!"

"Wow...wow...insolent! I helped you, you should praise me."

"You're so hungry for compliments, aren't you? What's so good about that? It's better to live simply and not to be too flashy. The most important thing is to be able to eat three meals a day and have a place to shelter."

"I don't want to hear that from you!" Aiden turned on the music player in his car. One of his favorite songs was heard, the song from the legendary boy band, Backstreet Boy.

Unknowingly, Nina and Aiden sang the song in unison.

"You like this song too?" Aiden asked. Suddenlyhis mood changed after hearing one of his favorite songs.

"Of course, I heard this song since childhood. I also like their other songs!"

"Your taste in music is great too!"

"You just complimented me, didn't you?"

"No, you just misheard!"

"Aiden, I stopped in front of that fence!"

"Here?" Aiden stopped his car in front of a white fence.

"Yes, thank you very much. How can I repay you?"

"By erasing that terrible story!"

"I can't. Okay, excuse me and thank you very much!" Nina opened the door, the rain splashed into the car.

"Just use this umbrella!" Aiden said while giving her the umbrella he had brought.

Nina smiled, this was the umpteenth time Aiden had helped her today.

"Thank you."

"Yes, goodbye!" Aiden started his car again.

"Be careful on the way!" Nina shouted while waving her hand.

Meanwhile, Aiden is back playing his favorite songs. Although today he felt tired, but somehow his heart was happy because he had helped someone. Even though that figure was the one who had already given him trouble.
