Uncertainty had become my only constant.

Since the first day I stepped foot into this castle, life itself felt like it had become a game. Every piece I thought I placed with care only redrew the board, until I found myself caught in an endless gambit.

One moment, I was crumbling in Zain’s arms, ready to relinquish the title of Luna I had worked so hard for. The next, I was watching Zain bare his heart out to me in ways that I had believed impossible in the past. And now, I followed him as he led me to a meeting with the council members.
