Luciano

"I would love to join you for lunch," I said, nodding at the old man in front of me.

I didn't know much about him, but I felt that he could be trusted based on how Thalia regards him.

He smiled and opened the door wider. "Come on in, then. Thalia prepared Panzanella and Mushroom Risotto. Do you like those dishes?"

I glanced at Thalia and saw her glaring at me. I merely smiled and turned back to Mr. Ferri.

"I'll probably like anything as long as Thalia prepares it."

"You're a sweet talker, aren't you?" Thalia scoffed. "Well, unluckily for you, I only made portions for three. You can go and eat on your own if you'd like."

Mr. Ferri clicked his tongue. "Oh, don't be like that, Thalia. There's plenty of food to go around. Come on in," he gestured for me to come in.

I took this as my chance. I entered the small and cozy house and was instantly bombarded by the scent of heavenly food.

Thalia grumbled from behind me, but she didn't retaliate any further.

Surprise chapter for all of you! I was able to write a chapter during one of my breaks, so I decided to upload one today. Thalia's words are pretty sharp. However, I somehow understand her. She's been all alone for four years and seeing Luciano once again must have shocked her heart.
