เข้าสู่ระบบ"My incubus has been with me for a month, but he still won't let me touch him. What could be the reason for that?" I type my questions into the customer service feedback form and wait for a reply. The customer service representative replies at once in a very helpful manner. "Dear customer, our incubi are all very eager to stick to their owners like glue! I'm afraid your issue might be due to a malfunction on his end. "We can apply for your incubus to be replaced with a new one instead, and he will arrive in a week." I look at Riven Sterling, the incubus whom I had made tailored specifically to my tastes. After a moment of thought, I decide that maybe I can just wait and observe for a while longer. If he still doesn't change for the better, then I can perhaps send him in for repairs. After all, Riven is just too perfectly aligned with my tastes. I can't bear to give him up. However, at the family dinner, I quickly realize that Riven is having a reaction toward my younger stepsister, Teresa Ashford, who is sitting across from me. It's only then that I recall that Teresa is the one who opened my parcel the last time Riven arrived at the doorstep. That night, I contact the customer service representative again and say, "You said that the new replacement would be arriving in a week, right? Please send it out, then. Thank you."

A sharp pain throbbed behind my eyes.
I groaned and pressed my fingers to my temples. Silver-lilies and a man's cologne filled the room, both scents far too strong. My wolf stirred, uneasy.
Under the sheets, my leg brushed something warm.
I froze.
My eyes snapped open. A stranger lay beside me, naked beneath the dark sheets, his broad shoulders rising and falling with each breath. I had never seen him before.
This wasn't my bed. This wasn't even Silver Ridge Pack territory.
"Oh, Moon Mother."
I scrambled away from him. The sheets slipped, and I snatched them back over myself. My clothes lay scattered across the polished floor. My dress. My corset. One shoe near the door.
My hands shook as I dressed. A sleeve caught at my wrist, and I nearly cried tugging it free.
What had I done?
Pieces of the night came back. Anya had begged me to visit a bar near the neutral borders. My friends had supposedly abandoned me, and I hadn't wanted to go alone. Turning my sister away was something I'd never been able to do.
At the bar, she had handed me a glass of sweet, spiced cocktail. We had clinked cups. I remembered laughing.
After that, nothing. Just a blur.
Behind me, the stranger shifted.
I searched his face, hoping something would explain how I had ended up here. A scar near his shoulder. A ring on the table. None of it meant anything. He had never shown up at a Silver Ridge gathering, and I knew most of the important wolves in the neighboring packs. The polished stone, heavy curtains, and silent lift all spoke of money. This lodge was built for wealthy visitors who wanted to stay outside their own territory.
None of it made me feel safe.
My wolf paced inside me, rattled by the strange room and the unfamiliar male scent. Her instincts usually helped me read a place. Now every signal was tangled, and the pounding in my head made it worse.
Air. I needed air. Home. And above all, I needed to understand what had happened before Peter heard a version of it from someone else.
I grabbed my jacket and hurried out.
Down the corridor, I kept my head low, my pulse hammering. If the man woke up and asked questions, I wouldn't know what to say. If anyone saw me leaving his room, it would be all over the pack by noon.
My bonding ceremony with Peter Henderson was three days away.
Peter was the Beta-elect of Silver Ridge Pack. He had promised to stand beside me before the elders and claim me as his mate. Both families had been preparing for months. And now I had woken in another male's bed.
At the end of the corridor, I pressed a hand to my mouth. My stomach turned. I had never wanted another man. I loved Peter. Betraying him had never crossed my mind.
But what would he believe when he heard?
The elevator carried me down to the lobby. I didn't look back.
Then another thought struck.
Anya.
If I had lost control after that drink, what had happened to my sister?
I reached through the pack link. "Anya? Can you hear me?"
Silence.
"Anya, answer me."
Nothing. No voice, no feeling. Only a blank space where my sister should have been.
The memory of her at the bar wouldn't leave me alone. She had been so cheerful when she passed me that drink, teasing me for worrying too much about the ceremony. I had laughed and taken it without a second thought. Anya was my younger sister. Whatever had come between us over the years, I had never believed she would put me in danger.
The thought made my chest ache almost as much as the fear of facing Peter.
With shaking fingers, I opened a ride-hailing app and booked a car to the duplex Peter had gifted me after our betrothal party. The town was waking up outside the window. Shopkeepers unlocked their doors, pack members hurried toward the market district, and traffic moved as if nothing had changed.
Everything had changed.
Rumors moved fast in a pack. By midday, every wolf in Silver Ridge could be talking about me.
The ride felt endless. In my head, I rehearsed what I would say to Peter, and every explanation sounded weak. The truth was simple: I had gone out with Anya, accepted a drink, and lost the hours that followed. All I could do was ask him to believe the woman he had known for years.
The thought of seeing doubt in his eyes frightened me more than any rumor.
When the car stopped outside the duplex, I paid through the app and hurried to the front door.
It stood slightly open. Relief flickered through me. Anya must be inside.
I pushed through the doorway. "Anya?"
A man's voice answered from the living room.
"Where were you last night, Camelia?"
I stopped.
Peter stood beside the fireplace, arms folded, his face hard. He didn't look worried. He looked furious.
"I—" My throat tightened. "I'm sorry. I should have mind-linked you. I went to the bar with Anya."
Peter stepped toward me. "And you expect me to believe that's all you did?"
"Peter, please."
"Where were you?" he demanded again. "Tell me the truth."
His face made my stomach drop. He already knew something. Or someone had told him a story.
"I don't remember everything," I said. "I woke up in a strange room. There was a man beside me, but I don't know how I got there."
Peter's mouth twisted.
"You cheated on me."
"No! I would never choose to do that to you. Something happened to me. I think someone put something in my drink."
"Convenient."
"Our ceremony is in three days. Why would I ruin everything we have?"
He gave a bitter laugh. "Maybe you never wanted to marry me."
"That isn't true."
I reached for him. He stepped away.
That small movement hurt more than I expected. Peter had always let me touch him. He used to pull me close when I was upset. Now he looked at me as if I disgusted him.
My fingers fell to my side.
"Please," I whispered. "Just listen to me."
Peter's jaw tightened. "I want the truth, Camelia. And you had better have a good explanation."
Riven seemed to have gone mad. He kept his head down and wouldn't stop mumbling, "I'm going to be done for if you really return me this time… And I won't be able to see Tracy again…"I felt a chill run down my spine. If he didn't want to be returned to the store, so be it. What did it have anything to do with me?What did Riven mean by not being able to see me again? He and Teresa were both out of their minds, and I didn't want to deal with any of them anymore. I never thought that Riven would find blackmail material on Teresa just as she was dead-set on returning him. He used Teresa's weakness to threaten her, and she backed off, figuring that she could just keep him after all.Teresa never came back after that, but Riven did. He continued staying at the Ashford villa and kept trying to get close to me. However, Jett was a very clingy incubus, and Riven never dared to come close to me with Jett around.I got more and more worried as I watched Riven's increasingly thin figure a
"I promise I won't cause any trouble for you this time," Riven said. He then looked at Jett with a humiliated expression and said, "I don't mind serving you with him either."Jett frowned at once. However, he couldn't object in my place. After all, he was just an incubus, and no matter how unwilling he was, he didn't have the right to refuse. It was all up to me to decide.I rubbed my chin, looking at Riven. He then looked at me expectantly, as if thinking that I would actually consider taking him back.In actual fact, I was just wondering how to tell him off."Do I look like a garbage collector to you? You think that you can just come and go as you please? Who do you think you are?"I scoffed and continued, "Even if I were into threesomes or more, wouldn't it be better for me to buy a few more incubi who would only have eyes for me? Why would I even want to consider taking someone rotten like you back?"Riven was hurt by my words and gave me a broken look. "I'm not rotten… I ne
"Please don't even look at him, my lady," Jett said, gently biting down on my ear.I turned around and pushed at his chest."Alright, alright. Let's go back inside.""Wait," Jett said, slowly opening up the condom packaging that the hotel staff had just delivered to us. "I need to check that we received the correct items."Riven's face turned an even ghastlier white when he noticed what the packaging was.I turned around, wanting to go back into the room, when I suddenly felt a sharp pull against my wrist. I looked back and saw Riven tugging on my wrist, his gaze fixed on the box of condoms in Jett's hands.Jett couldn't hold back anymore and swung his fist at Riven's face with a loud curse.I exclaimed in shock but didn't stop him.Sometimes, stray incubi, driven by extreme hunger, would try seducing other incubi's owners. They would try to avoid running into other owned incubi as much as possible. If these stray incubi were found out, the owner's rightful incubi would fly in
"I'd be so incredibly unlucky to have an owner like her," Jett said to me, purposely provoking Riven behind us.Riven's face was deathly pale."My owner is still the best," Jett said smugly.I nudged him gently in response.I wasn't the least bit surprised by Teresa's sudden change in behavior. I knew that she had only been faking it all along. She pretended to be a pure, harmless, innocent person only when Dad was around, just like her mother. But now that Dad wasn't around, it wasn't surprising that she couldn't keep up with the act anymore.Jett was still provoking Riven on purpose."Aren't you going to run after her? Be careful, your owner might abandon you again."…Jett was in the shower when I heard a loud knock on the door.I frowned as I listened to the sound of running water in the bathroom. I wasn't planning to answer the door. Who could it possibly be, anyway? However, the knocking persisted, and I soon heard Jett's voice coming from the bathroom."My lady, I be
I had been pampering Riven so much over the past few days that he seemed to have already forgotten that his very existence was to serve me. He should not have acted as though he was doing me a huge favor by offering his services to me.I slammed the door shut in his face, not even wanting to speak
Resold for a lower price?I thought about how Riven kept remaining steadfastly loyal to his celibacy each time I tried approaching him and found it amusing.I bet that if Riven didn't end up getting bought by Teresa, he would keep getting returned by his next buyers with countless negative reviews
This was interesting. I had spent a fortune on Riven, feeding him and clothing him, showering him with all sorts of luxuries, and granting his every request. After all that, he still told me that he couldn't accept me touching him, and I never laid a finger on him. However, none of that seemed to
I felt my heart aching as I looked at Riven. Why was he sick all of a sudden? He seemed perfectly healthy to me.Riven's hands suddenly froze whilst he was drying his hair. His eyes were dark and empty, and there was no emotion in them whenever he looked at me. He certainly wasn't acting like any o
