The fight brought peace to the territory of the werewolves, after much discord among the multiple species in this realm, one of them had declared itself the strongest and was being led by Lyra and Alexander.
Alexander walked among the corpses of the vampires, walking slowly as he had been injured during the battle, but he had no regrets and if he had to do it again, he would do it without hesitation. He approached Lyra, who was watching as the sun began to rise over the mountains, and said the following:
"This only means one thing, Lyra," Alexander's tone was soft.
"What do you think it means, my loyal friend?" Lyra replied harshly, her scars giving her a more aggressive demeanor.
"The vampire tribe will want revenge, their pride will make them do things we can't even imagine... we need to be prepared," Alexander exclaimed with concern.
"You're right, but by defeating them, we showed that we are capable of working as a team, so any threat that comes our way will have to do so with enough courage to withstand our tenacity," said Lyra with confidence.
Understanding Lyra's security, Alexander just shook his head and smiled, there was nothing that could break Lyra's warrior instinct. After their conversation, he put his arm around Lyra and they began to walk in search of the other members of the tribe.
They were tired and sore, a good rest in the village would do them well, but before they could start their journey, in the midst of the vampire corpses, a groan caught their attention, causing them to turn and see what was happening.
When they did, they noticed that among the vampire corpses, a body was weakly sitting up and looking coldly into Lyra's eyes - it was the vampire king, still bleeding... but that didn't stop him from showing his discontent and hatred.
"Don't think you've won anything with this, Lyra," his voice was intimidating and deep. "All you've done is put yourself in the eye of the storm. The whole world will know... that now you're the one in charge of this realm... and that's a complete insult," said the vampire king, coughing blood as he spoke.
The two watched as the king struggled to talk to them, but his fate was already more than foreseen, there was nothing to be done to save him, nor any intention of doing so.
"The world will know that I will be the one to end the tyranny of those who have tried to rule unjustly, so I don't care who opposes me, I will end anyone who tries to do evil," said Lyra, who was in ecstasy over what she had just done.
"Hahaha... they'll come for you, one by one... and until your head is on a stake, they won't stop. I almost feel sorry for you..." said the vampire king, who, when he started laughing, began to have heart problems.
The vampire king couldn't keep laughing... he was just prolonging his agony, which was more than evident, and he began to complain of a pain in his heart... gradually it became more acute until he succumbed and finally fell.
Lyra and Alexander witnessed the scene a little horrified, it was not pleasant to see that old man die in that way, but it would serve as proof that, when entering this hostile world of war, death would be a permanent companion on each of their journeys.
And so, both set off on their journey to the village, along with a few surviving werewolves. They were very tired, so they needed to treat some of their wounds to survive, otherwise, they would follow the same path as the vampire king.
Especially Alexander, who was badly injured, so when they arrived at the
Especially Alexander, who was badly injured, so when they arrived at the village, the first thing they did was take him to the infirmary and treat his wounds. Their arrival was chaotic, as the elder of the tribe was waiting for them at the door and when they arrived, he looked directly at Lyra, perhaps blaming her for everything that was happening.
Meanwhile, at the battlefield, footsteps begin to leave their mark among the corpses. A woman in a cloak is searching for the body of the vampire king, accompanied by other men who seem indignant and angry.
When the woman finds the body, she looks at it intently and grits her teeth. Anger begins to invade her entire body, she thirsts for revenge, so before embarking on her journey in search of the culprit, this woman removes the necklace that the vampire king wore and puts it on herself.
When she does so, the other vampires kneel in respect, as she is now the new vampire queen.
Alexander was already in the infirmary, and the girls, who were werewolves, gave the news that he was out of danger, which made Lyra quite happy, as she was also being tended to by the nurses.
After a few hours of rest and recuperation, Lyra felt she needed to move and help the tribe with their tasks, but above all, to continue training to increase her strength and achieve what she so desires: the banishment of her sister.
She entered her private cabin, which was kindly offered to her by the tribe members, and began searching for her training clothes. It was curious how she decorated that place, as unlike the other cabins, it had a more unique and personal touch.
It had some more feminine touches, and there was even a mirror so she could see herself and fix herself up before heading out to the field. The feminine touches abounded in that place and it gave Lyra a sense of calm, making her feel at home.
She bathed and dressed, re-bandaged her wounds, and with determination, she grabbed her sword ready to go out and train. She headed towards the door of her cabin, and when she opened it, the imposing leader of the pack, Kahian, was standing there with his imposing presence.
Lyra was surprised to see him, she had him face to face, she could feel his breath, which made her a little nervous. He looked at her coldly, and then said to her in a soft voice, "Lyra, I hope you rested well, I would like us to talk for a moment in the great hall."
"Oh sure, Kahian, I'll be there in a moment," said Lyra amiably.
Then Kahian went to the great hall where he would be waiting for her, but before she went there, she decided to visit her good friend Alexander, wanting to know if he was feeling better and bringing him a small gift.
A basket of fruits would be the right gift for a sick person, or at least she thought so. When she arrived at the infirmary, Alexander was already awake and looked a little better, although still bandaged from the battle wounds.
Lyra's visit didn't take long, she just went to bring him the basket and ask how he was. After a brief chat with him, she went on her way to the great hall where the leader was waiting for her.
She arrived with a little nervousness, not knowing why he had invited her there. It's not that she had done anything wrong, but it was clear that the commotion that was being generated was something that she had indirectly caused.
Lyra entered the great hall, which was in the middle of the village. The place had a cold and somber atmosphere, there were only
"I appreciate your loyalty, but I want you to prove it to me. It's not because I don't trust you, but when it comes to battles, especially when it comes to respect, winning has to be a sure thing, and it takes character.""I understand. What's the test you will give me? I am quite intrigued.""Lyra, the high royalty has noticed what happened. They like to have everything under control and especially under surveillance, so when they found out about our victory, they didn't hesitate to invite us to their kingdom to talk, I suppose, but I know there is something else.""Why do you think so, Master Kahiah?""They must be feeling threatened, so we must show them that we do not want any trouble. Do you think you can go and clarify this misunderstanding?""Maybe we should let them have it. They have not only been doing injustices against the people but also want to impose their authority on all neighboring tribes. They are creating a tyranny!" Lyra says with a concerned tone."I understand t
The night passed quickly and the rebels fell asleep as soon as they saw the sun rise. They needed rest to tackle the next mission with bravery because otherwise it would mean having weak warriors, and especially ones who were a little drunk. But the werewolves were aware of this, and although they celebrated a little wildly, Lyra was always attentive and very controlled in any situation that could get out of hand. Fortunately, there were only laughs and an atmosphere of love and tranquility. The next day, when it was already midday, Lyra was preparing things for her journey. The journey from the tribe to the kingdom was a bit long, so taking provisions and especially weapons would serve her well to be at ease and assume any challenges that might arise. After packing everything in her backpack, she gets ready by putting on her comfortable outfit and with an optimistic smile, accepts her next challenge with all the intention of winning. She leaves her cabin and the first thing she notic
Or so they thought. On a part of the road, they came across an overturned carriage as if it had crashed. Upon detecting it, Lyra knew that something was going wrong. "Hold on, guys. Marcus, do you detect any threat?" says Lyra in a low tone of voice. "To be honest, I only detect the smell coming from that carriage, it's an unpleasant smell that doesn't let me detect any threat..." says Marcus with sweat on his forehead."Yeah, same here," says Rogelio. Lyra couldn't perceive anything either until she realized that her sense of smell wasn't going to indicate that there was a threat, but rather her hearing was going to detect the intruders. As in the depths of the forest, laughter approached and branches broke from all sides.Upon noticing this, the warriors took defensive combat positions, a way in which the five could cover their friend's back. Lyra ordered them to be very attentive because they had just fallen into the enemy's trap. The five did not know where the enemies would come
Thus, a problem that not only would lead to its end but also would affect the entire pack because they had to deliver the message of peace to the kingdom. As clear as that, the sense of responsibility towards this commitment grew strong enough for one of the warriors to feel stronger. That was Alexander, he saw that the whole team was completely disintegrating, which would mean defeat, so he was not going to let that happen. Therefore, he draws his sword and grips it with such force that his next move would be devastating. Not for him, nor for his team, but for the henchman who was coming directly to attack him without prior notice, he was flying through the air with much determination to kill, but Alexander's skill completely ruined all his intentions of wanting to do his wickedness. He stabs him with the sword in such a way that he wouldn't even be able to show signs of life after having the sword inside, it was a clean and above all, fast kill. After finishing off that henchman, he
The warriors were agitated, staring directly at the minions, the three werewolves were completely controlled by their instincts, they wanted to finish off all the enemies and continue on their way, plus they needed to help Lyra with her wounds. But the minions didn't want their meal to rebel against them, it was disrespectful to leave them alive or let them escape, it simply wasn't something they could allow, which made the werewolves even more furious than before.Their rage and desire for revenge were burning inside them, making them not even consider leaving the minions alone, so Marcus was about to go towards where they were, with a strong desire for blood. But that was when they started hearing the tremors."What's happening?" says Alexander with a deep voice while holding Lyra in his arms. The werewolves were completely absorbed in their instincts, but that didn't mean they couldn't feel those strange sounds that were getting closer and closer. Until finally, they realized what
The group of warriors was wounded and defeated, but they were still alive, and above all, eager to continue with their purpose. Therefore, the first battle could not be tough enough to make the warriors give up. Only a threat or a large-scale tragedy could put an end to the justice spirit of these good warriors! Although they wanted to keep fighting, the wounds of this battle left them badly injured, enough so that they had to rest and heal these wounds. It was a risky situation, considering that they still needed to stay on guard in this arid and unreliable forest. So Alexander and the other warriors decided to take Lyra, who was still unconscious, to a deeper part of the forest, away from the path they needed to follow to reach the castle."We must heal her immediately. If she continues like this, she will lose her life," says Marcus, who is with the other warriors surrounding the injured Lyra."Her wounds are deep, but she has me. I am the best healer that the tribe could have, so
"Well, you're trustworthy. I hope that when we get to the castle, the plan you have in mind will serve to protect us," exclaimed Alexander."Yes, don't worry, everything is more than planned. In the worst case, you guys run away and I sacrifice myself," said Lyra."What!?" said Alexander. The group of five warriors were already about to reach the castle. They had to cross through the small village ruled by the kingdom, but in no way would they be stopped by any adversity. These warriors were prepared for whatever came their way. And so the story of this unparalleled group continued, facing the worst to achieve the best. The group of five warriors were already on the bridge that connected the forest to the castle. They had it in front of them, which meant they were getting closer to the end of their destination. They began to cross it until they reached the gate of the castle. The guards who guarded this castle were distracted talking to people from the village. This was a perfect mome
They are completely subdued by the incredible strength of the kingdom's security. The five warriors still don't know what to expect from all of this, or if they will have any salvation. But Lyra remained calm, not expecting it to turn out this way, but also not fearing the outcome that may occur. They approached the formidable castle, which in some way was overwhelming due to its great immensity. The warriors looked up at it before turning to the main gate, which began to open to receive them. The warriors entered the castle, handcuffed and subdued, where they were greeted by someone. This was Lyra's sister, Rose, who had another group of guards around her as she looked at them with a superior gaze.Lyra was surprised, not expecting to see her sister yet, so when Rose stood in front of her, they looked at each other very threateningly, as if they had things to say and grudges to settle."Dear sister, so you had the courage to come. That will be the stupidest decision you've made since
