CHAPTER NINE

ALESSANDRO'S POV

I feel a tiny body cuddled up against my chest, looking down i see little Avery sleeping soundly. I had planned for a simple nap but i ended up sleeping through the whole night, and the best part, no nightmares. I guess it was knowing Avery is safe with me that halted the nightmares since i always dream about her getting killed in front of me.

I turn slightly to see the sun was already out, i was about to start panicking when i remembered my dilemma and the ass whooping i got. I guess they were letting me rest since I haven't been summoned as yet. I slowly move away from Avery so i could get up and empty my bladder and do my morning routine. I head to the bathroom dealing with my business, doing my routine and then came back to the room. Avery is still asleep so i picked up my phone and decided to try my luck at the door.

The goddess must be on my side this morning because it opened. I walk out listening for any signs of my mother before heading downstairs to the kitc
