"What?." Martina paled. "Vincenzo Arroyo told you that?".

"Yes. Bella and I are distant cousins." He replied. "Why didn't you tell me Mom?".

"I didn't think it was important." She muttered. "What else did he say?".

"They've been searching for you for years." Jesse shrugged. "Isn't it time for you to go back home?".

"I'm very happy here." Martina said. "I don't wish to go back."

"That's not what I mean and you know it Mom." Jesse sighed. "But it's your call."

"They tried to sell me off to that stinking old man." She seethed. "I'm glad I was able to escape or else I probably would've killed myself if I'd ended up with that man."

"It's all in the past now." He rubbed her back. "You're very happy with dad and I like that." He told her. "I really don't care if he hates me and my daughter."

"But he doesn't hate you or Gwen." Martina protested.

"That's what she said." He rolled his eyes. "If he doesn't hate her then why would he tell me to leave her to die?".
