Chapter 64: Naïve Girl

I was sitting in the back garden of the Packhouse. A smile was present on my face and I was enjoying my chamomile tea. I love to spend time here. Last week, The council finally got the evidence of Jasper’s innocence and they ended that case. But, It seems like they want to stretch this matter without any reason. Thankfully, Kandrix handled everything. Just a few more days and the case will be closed forever.

“Can I sit here?” I turned towards the girl and a smile appeared on my face.

“Sure! What are you doing here, Melinda?” I asked, and she smiled. She has an innocent face, but my life taught me to not judge a book by its cover.
