“Happy graduation!”

Someone suddenly shoved a stack of pots and pans into my arms.

I spaced out, and everything fell to the floor with a loud crash.

The expression of the woman before me instantly darkened.

“Julia, what are you doing?! I spent so much time picking out these kitchen utensils for you! It’s perfect for a woman!”

Orion Spencer’s mom, Claudia Palmer, would not stop yelling at me while shoving a finger in my face.

However, I was still caught up in the joy of returning to the past.

I did the math and realized it was the last day to sign up for the graduate school exam.

“Are you even listening? How can you take care of Orion like this?”

When I heard Orion’s name, his tall, confident figure flashed in my mind.

In my past life, I always thought I was lucky to win him over.

He was handsome and one of the best students in school. He loved basketball and even made it onto the state team. He also enjoyed writing songs, and people loved whatever he wrote.

When he mentioned wanting to be a doctor, a top medical professor quickly chose him as a student.

Everyone was jealous that I was engaged to him and that he liked me.

Only I knew he was selfish and terrible.

Just thinking about what he did in my past life made me clench my fists.

I pushed down my disgust and said with a fake smile, “You should go home. I have something to do.”

Then, I ran straight to the internet cafe by the school gate. I ignored Claudia as she called after me.

My roommate was stunned when she saw me quickly open the graduate school application page.

She asked, “Weren’t you going to be a housewife?”

I smiled and said, “This is a great time for change. I can’t let myself be stuck at home.

“I want to go to grad school and do something for the country!”

My roommate seemed surprised by how much I had changed. Her eyes lit up, and she looked at me with admiration.

Once I submitted my application, I breathed a sigh of relief and headed back to school.

In my past life, I had listened to Orion. After graduation, I married him with the large inheritance my parents left me and became a housewife.

With me taking care of everything at home, he had nothing to worry about. So, he could go for an internship in the hospital right after graduating. Later, with help from the professor, his career took off smoothly.

After he was transferred to a hospital in the city, his first love, Sofia Hill, went with him. I was the only one left behind in the village.

The next time I saw him was when I was having my baby.

Sofia and I were both waiting to give birth in the same hospital ward. He was busy taking care of Sofia the whole time.

Whenever I asked for some water, he would get annoyed and tell me to fetch it myself.

I was really sad, but I decided that once my baby was born, I would put all my love into raising him.

My baby grew up before my eyes. He used to smile and babble, but as he got older, he became cold toward me. He did not even want to come home for the holidays.

I thought he was just busy.

Then, one New Year’s when I was 65, I finally learned the truth. Orion, my son, and Sofia had been living together all this time. My son even called Sofia “mom”!

I ran up to them and asked what was going on. But my son blocked my path and gave me a hard shove.

“Mom, why can’t you just stay in the village and enjoy your life? Why do you have to come here and ruin our New Year’s celebration?

“I don’t want people to know my mom’s an ignorant country bumpkin.”

Orion did not even glance my way. He was too busy comforting Sofia, who had burst into tears after I had startled her.

Eventually, he looked at me coldly and said, “Let’s get a divorce.”

After resting for a day, I treated my lecturer and her professor friend to a meal. I also bought the professor a small gift.At first, I was worried about being too nervous. However, I stayed calm and confident. Maybe because I had lived a whole life before, so I spoke easily with the professor.I could see that he liked me, and it made me feel even more sure of myself. At the end of the meal, we exchanged our contact information. After that, we started preparing for the exams. The day before graduate school started, I ran into Orion in Jovia.I did not expect him to follow me all the way to my new apartment.I was about to close the door when it suddenly got stuck.Feeling fearful, I was ready to call the police. Then, I realized that it was him.“It’s me.”He looked a lot skinnier. His clothes were messy, and he seemed tired and sloppy.“I finally found you.”He stared at me with teary eyes.“Why did you leave without listening to me? I’ve been looking everywhere for yo

I felt a bit nervous. However, Orion always cared so much about his image. The thought of messing everything up in front of him made me happy. The officiant went through the steps for our wedding. When it was my turn to speak, he asked, “Do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?”“I don’t.”Everyone went silent in shock.Orion looked at me in disbelief, like something broke inside him.“You said the wrong thing, didn’t you?”“Nope.” I smiled and took the microphone from the officiant.“The real bride today is someone else!”Right then, the video I had prepared started playing. It showed many clips of Orion being very close to Sofia.Everyone thought Orion had been really good to me. In their eyes, he was the perfect husband. After that, I pulled a shocked Sofia up on stage.“Look at her! Her dress is fancier than mine, and her makeup is prettier. If she’s not the bride, who is?”The guests started whispering.“Wow, it’s so obvious.” “I can’t believe O

We all got up at 5 a.m.Sofia acted like she felt guilty and offered to assist as my bridesmaid. Anyone who did not know better would think she was the bride.Claudia wanted to keep things simple, so Orion and I were both leaving for our wedding from our apartment.Just as we were about to walk out, he suddenly grabbed my hand in anger.“Why did you secretly sign up for the graduate school exam?” he asked.I was caught off guard, but I tried to stay calm.“You must have the wrong person.”He pulled out his phone and showed me a message.“Isn’t this you?“Julia, on our graduation day, didn’t you run out to the internet cafe to sign up for this?”Orion grabbed my hand so hard that it hurt. I tried to pull away.“What if I did? You have no right to control where I go!”“You’re not allowed to go.”“Dream on!”

However, whatever guilt Orion had disappeared as soon as we got home and he saw Sofia. She was sitting and crying outside my door.“My landlord kicked me out. I can’t withdraw any money from the card you gave me…”The first thing Orion did was look at me.“You changed your PIN?”My heart sank, and I started putting the pieces together.“What do you mean?”He shook off my hand in anger and said, “Why didn’t you tell me you changed it? Sofia needs that money to rent a place!”I was furious. “What does her rent have to do with me? That is the money my parents left me!”I could not believe it. Orion had been using my money to pay for Sofia’s rent!No wonder I previously did not have much money left in my bank account despite my best efforts to save.It looked like the same thing had happened in my past life.He and his family had used up my money!Sofia leaned against the wall and slowly got to her feet. Then, she gave me a pitiful look.“How can you say that? Isn’t your mone
