Octava’s pov

I was tired of sitting in one spot doing nothing. It had been minutes since that strange woman had gone in there and still nothing.

I looked to jakeson, who was still looking at the cave, as if he was expecting something to happen.

“That’s it. I’m going in;” I said to my feet as he stared at me like I had said the strangest thing.

“What? Why?”

I scoffed. “My son is in there. We have been sitting here like losers for minutes. I have to go save him.”

He looked at me, his face trying to figure out what expression to give as it settled on irritation. “Impatience is what is going to get us killed. These people had no problems killing the chief of the village. They will have no problems killing you or your son. They look brutal, and something tells me they don’t think well either. We need to handle this with care.”

I sighed, “I’m done waiting. We’ve been staying here for more than twenty minutes and nothing has happened. I’m going inside. I have to find out if Luka is in there
