Jakeson’s pov

The Queen looked at the prisoner, then at me. She was a bit confused on what was going on. She didn’t even know how to ask her question, and I totally understood her.

I looked to the guards who had tied up the man to the bed and sat down by the corner, with the Queen coming to stand before me.

“Well,” she said, “explain yourself. Why is this man here? Who is he?”

“He’s a rogue,” I said.

She nodded. “I can smell the rogue of him, but I still need more to go on with. Who exactly is he? Is he the one who kidnapped Luka? And where is Luka? I know I sent you and her out there to look for my grandchild, but you’re back without one.”

I nodded. “It’s a long story.”

She smiled, then sat at the edge of the bed away from the man, then waved me on. “I have all day, or shall I say all night.”
