Emma's POV
The next day…
"Would you like to order, Miss Whitemane?"
"No, thank you. I am waiting for a friend." I smiled at the waitress and sent her off. No one in the pack addressed me as 'Luna' or 'Mrs. Sinclair', not only because they don't see me as their Luna but also because their Alpha never asked them to.
The entire pack knew he hated me!
The person I was waiting for today was Natalie Colerio, my best friend and the daughter of Beta Walter of our pack. While the whole pack scorned me for being an orphan omega, she was the only one who saw me beyond my rank.
I heard the door being pushed open and looked up from my table, there she was standing in her designer clothes, unfitting in this modest cafe.
"Natalie. Here!" I waved my hand at her and a mask of instant relief covered her face. She came to me and wrapped me in a tight hug, "Gosh, I am sorry I am late."
"It's ok. I am glad you are here."
She sat down on her seat and rubbed my wrist with her thumb, "Are you okay?"
"Yes. I am." I replied before narrating to her what happened.
“What? She said what?” Natalie slammed her hand on the table and said, “I am going to rip her mouth now.”
“Natalie, no. It won’t work, we have to handle this the other way.” I stopped her.
"I still can't believe this. You have been married for three years. Is the Alpha really gonna throw it all away just like that?" Natalie pulled a frown.
"So what if we were married for three years? The one he has always loved is her, not me." I muttered, trying my best to mask the sorrow pooling on my face.
"Girl…" Natalie started and said, "It's not your fault. You and Stella both fell in love with him at the same time. She was brave enough to tell him her feelings out loud. If not for your shy personality, Draven wouldn't have overlooked you."
"The confession, right? I helped her prepare it." I giggled in melancholy thinking about those days.
We were still in high school and Draven was our classmate. Almost every girl in the school was in love with him but it was only Stella who dared to confess her love. The boy was so impressed by her bravery that he took her to be his future Luna.
I was heartbroken to see the man I loved in the arms of my friend. It was already our final year in college and I almost gave up on him until…
One night Draven found Stella in our room, stabbed and injured. He rushed her to the hospital and the doctors declared that her condition was critical due to severe blood loss.
Draven was anxious and sent out his men to look for a donor. No one was coming forward to do it so I stepped up as I had a rare blood kind which could be donated to everyone.
Stella was saved but she ended up in a vegetative state with very slim chances of recovery.
To express gratitude, Draven granted me one wish. I still remember that day, it is so clear in my head as if it had happened yesterday.
"For saving her life, I will grant you one wish. Tell me, what do you want?"
"Anything?"
"Yes, as long as it is within my power."
I clenched my fist nervously and blurted, "I want to marry you."
I snapped out of my senses, trying hard to keep my composure. How stupid I was to have asked this? If I could go back in time, I would definitely stop myself from doing this. The younger me would be disappointed to know that we couldn't make him love us even after three years, but it would save us a bigger heartbreak.
Natalie said, "Don't think about it, Emma. We are going to prove your innocence."
I felt a lot better after her reassuring words. I said, "Thank you for having my back, Natalie. I don't know what I would do without you."
"I got you." She added, "And don't worry about the divorce. I have already contacted a professional to help you out."
“Really? Who is it?”
“He is a friend of mine. He will be joining us shortly.” I was about to inquire further but our conversation was interrupted by an incoming call. Natalie answered the call and looked at me apologizingly, “Girl, something happened back home. I have to go now. Wait here, okay? He will be here soon.”
“No worries.” I waved my hand and said, “I will take care of this. You go and take care of the work.”
Natalie left and now, it was just me waiting for the person. I ordered a cappuccino while I was waiting and since I was the only one in the cafe, it arrived soon. I picked up my spoon and stirred the delicious drink in front of me. I never even liked coffee, I started to drink cappuccino because that was what Draven liked.
I was about to take a sip of the coffee when suddenly, I felt my head dizzy. I kept the cup on the table when another round of dizziness hit me. I stood up from my seat and immediately felt my legs numb down.
My vision started to blur and I involuntarily halted on my steps, unable to move further.
“No! Don’t pass out here.” I thought to myself and tried to call the waitress, only to feel my body falling towards the ground. I closed my eyes preparing myself for the impact when suddenly, a pair of strong arms caught me.
“Miss, are you okay?” Asked a husky voice.
I looked up and tried to see who it was but my eyes refused to stay open. All I could see was a handsome face looking down at me worriedly before the darkness consumed my senses.

Emma's POVI got inside the car and looked over at Draven. He was focused on the road and looked too calm for the situation.I was itching to ask him about the white wolf and if he knew anything about it. Before he could, he asked me, “What were you doing when you established contact with Ashel’s wolf?”“I…” I thought about it and said, “Nothing. I was just too panicked and worried.”“So it happened on its own, and you did not do anything?”“No.” I replied and looked down, “Do you even think it is real?”“Yes.” He gave me a shocking reply, “I have heard about it during my training and have read about this in books, but I never thought it was real.”“What? What are you talking about?”“It is an ancient power. There were wolves who could establish contact with the spirits of other wolves, no matter how far they were.”My mind was blown by this information. I have never heard about it before. I know that Alphas can mindlink with other wolves but they have to belong to the same pack and h
Emma's POV“Emma? Emma…” Draven’s panicked voice woke me up from my slumber. “Thank God you are okay.” Relief clouded his face as he opened the car door. I looked around to see that I was in the middle of nowhere. It turned out I had parked my car and just dozed off; everything I saw was just a mere dream. But the voice… and the wolf… they seemed so realistic.“Are you alright?” Draven asked as he unbuckled my seat belt. He grabbed my hand and helped me step out of the vehicle. My head was unusually heavy and dizzy, I was just numb and going wherever he was taking me. Turns out Draven was not alone, the Gamma and scouts were here as well. The man asked, “Miss Whitemane, are you alright?”I nodded, unable to say a word. He asked, “What happened? Why did you run away all of a sudden? The Alpha was worried about you.”I could not answer his question. Instead, I looked at Draven and asked, “Ashel… Did you find her?”Draven replied, “We are still searching.”“Then… Then we should not wa
Emma's POVMy composure crumbled. “Draven,” I choked out, “I don’t know what’s happening to me. I am hallucinating. I think I am losing my mind.”“Hey, hey. Breathe. Tell me what happened.”I swallowed hard, my fingers trembling as I sent him my location, “Please, hurry.”“I AM on my wa.,” he assured me. “Stay put.”Just as I hung up, movement caught my eye. A figure stood in the middle of the road, draped in a black robe.My pulse spiked. My instincts screamed at me to drive, to leave, but something held me in place. Slowly, I rolled down my window. “Do you need help?”No response. My phone chimed again. I glanced at the message from Draven—Almost there. When I lifted my gaze, the figure was gone.A shiver ran down my spine. I scanned the area, my breath catching when I turned to my side—The figure stood right next to my window.I barely had time to gasp. My heart slammed against my ribs, my chest tightening with panic. The woman’s hood cast deep shadows over her face, but I could f
Emma's POVJust when I thought that I was hearing things, I heard her again, “Mom… Can you hear me?”The voice was faint, distant, but unmistakable. My heart leaped into my throat and I gasped, my breath hitching as I heard the familiar voice echo through my head.“Ashel?” I called, my eyes darting frantically around the dimly lit space. But there was no one there, just the cold walls and the flickering bulb above me.My heart pounded against my ribs and I was dying to just hear her voice one more time. “Ashel!” I yelled again, desperation creeping into my voice.“Mom, please save me. I am scared.” Her unmistakable voice spoke to me.“I am here. I will get you, sweetie. Don’t be scared.” I pressed my ear against the door to see if anyone was there and heard the faint mutters of the housekeepers talking to themselves. I started pounding on the door with clenched fists, “Let me out!”The initial chatter stopped dramatically and there was dead silence now.A sharp wave of panic surged th
