Chapter 6

I stood there in shock “Wait what's going on?” Then I saw Tiffany standing behind Jasper and then I knew she was behind all this.

“Jasper you can't just stand there and do nothing, you know I would never do such a thing” Before I could do anything the office grabbed my hand roughly.

“You have the right to remain silent,” the police officer said as he dragged me to the police car.

Caden roared in a deep voice “Hey be careful with her she's pregnant”

Jasper turned to look at Caden “Yes I know she's pregnant with my child Caden but how do you know?”

Caden looked at Jasper with rage in his eyes “Well brother I'm not as dumb as you and I'm not as stupid as you it's obvious she's pregnant.”

Tiffany began to laugh “Was she vomiting on your face too?” Tiffany said sarcastically

Caden ignored Tiffany and looked at Jasper “So you're just gonna stand there and watch them take your pregnant wife away” Caden asked Jasper aggressively.

Jasper became very furious with what Caden said and turned to slap him “Look her stepbrother this is my family business, not yours Ruby is my wife, not ours what I do and how I choose to handle situations like this is none of your business.”

Caden angrily walked away into the mansion leaving Jasper and Tiffany behind, as they all watched me get dragged into the police car and the officer drove me off to the police station.

When I was brought to the police station they took me to a room where there was only a table and car and I was sat down for questioning.

A female police officer came into the room and sat on the stand on the other side of the table “So Mrs Ruby, Do you have anything against Mr Jasper Tate?”

I looked at the female officer my body trembling “Please let me go I didn't do anything I'm being framed I would never think of doing such a thing”

The female officer looked at me then she went back towards the door and brought the guy I saw earlier in handcuffs back then when I was getting arrested.

She dragged him into the room, his hands still in handcuffs and his head facing the ground. “Do you know this woman?” She asked him in a very fierce tone.

The man raised his head up and looked at me and nodded “Y…yes she's the one who sent me to kill Jasper that night at the party”

I was very shocked by what this man said “WHAT DO YOU MEAN? I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS MAN IN MY LIFE BEFORE!” I yelled at the top of my voice.

The police officer turned to my me “Lower your voice Ma'am I'm the one doing the asking here”

Fear filled my body as I started trembling then the unknown man looked at me again and said “Ruby Frost she was the one who sent me to kill Jasper I don't know why she told me to do so”

Tears began to roll down my eyes “Believe me I don't know what he's saying, I just want to go and find my mother she's missing”

The police officer looked very displeased “Okay I have heard enough” She dragged the man out of the room and her attention was back on me.

“Okay, Mrs Ruby where were you on the night when Jasper was shot?” The officer asked in a high-pitched fierce voice.

I could not control my tears. My body was also trembling uncontrollably. I gently used my hand to wipe my tears ``On…on th.. that night” I said, quivering as I couldn't even finish a sentence.

The police officer stretched out her hand to me and gave me and paper towel to wipe my tears off “Are you ready to speak now Mrs Ruby?”

I wiped my tears away and looked at the officer “Yes I'm ready to speak now”

“So where were you on the night that Jasper was shot?” She asked with a straight face

“On the night when Jasper was shot I was at the party dancing with Jasper and I had no idea he was going to get shot, I'm being framed by his crazy best friend her name is Tiffany she's told me herself that she was trying to get rid of me but then she hit Jasper by mistake” I replied to the officer while trying to hold my tears back.

The officer looked at me weirdly “Miss Tiffany Honks? But she was the one who reported this case to the police.”

“That's what I'm trying to say, I'm being framed by Tiffany, I promise you I don't know what's going on” I replied to the officer as I broke down into more tears.

A few minutes later The door was slammed open “Mrs Ruby you have some visitors” and then my heart was filled with joy when I saw it was my mother and behind her was Caden

My mother came and pulled me into a hug and I hugged her tighter “Mother where have you been? I thought I lost you” I asked her as I began to cry.

“Don't worry my child, that's not important for now. What's important is getting you out of here because I know you will never even harm a fly, Mr Caden here explained everything for me and I promise you we will not stop till you're out of here.”

I pulled back from the hug and then I looked at Caden “Thank you so much, Caden, I don't know what I would do without you”

Caden smiled and nodded his head. I could tell that he was not happy.

“Okay okay times up come on Ruby let's go” the officer said as she held my hand.

She gently dragged me to a cell with a bed and she removed my handcuffs and gave me inmate clothes to change into.

As I changed into the clothes I could feel a sharp pain in my back and in my chest “AHHHHHHHHHH!” I Screamed at the top of my lungs then I fainted and fell to the cold ground.
