Scott

Jace’s fist still burned against my face, the sting of it hot in my nose and lips. For a moment, he stood there, chest heaving, his eyes locked on mine. I could see it in him, the desire to push further, to prove himself but the fear too, the knowledge that if he stayed, he’d lose. He was very aware of what I was capable of.

Then, without a word, he turned sharply, leaving.

I smirked through the blood on my lips, my voice mocking, low. “Why are you leaving so soon, brother?”

He stiffened at the door but never turned back, ignoring me, and stormed out.

The room felt emptier without him, but the fury in me didn’t ebb. My fist slammed into the wall, once, twice, over and over, stone biting into skin until my knuckles split and blood streaked the surface. I pressed my forehead to the wall, my breath ragged. Still, it wasn’t enough to quiet the rage clawing inside me. Nothing was.

Hours later, we sat together in the dining hall, my mother at the head of the table, looking aliv

Louisa/AgnesI stormed into my room and slammed the door shut with such force the frame rattled. My breath came heavy, and for a moment, I just stood there, fists balled at my sides. Then my feet carried me to the mirror.I glared at the reflection staring back. My chest rose and fell, my eyes burning holes into that face.I’m getting tired of this body, I thought bitterly, fingers curling against the edge of the dresser. But if I leave, Louisa might not be able to protect herself from these people. Not like this. Not with the child inside her.My hand dropped to my stomach, pressing lightly, protectively. The thought of weakness gnawed at me. Margaret, Mia, even Scott, they were wolves who played games with teeth and claws. Louisa’s heart was too soft, too trusting.I have to stay until the birth. After that, I’ll burn this family to ash, and when the ruins settle, I’ll go back to my original body. The thought steeled me, even as the weight of it sank deeper into my bones.A knock at

  • I Came Back For My Alpha and Mate   Chapter 108

Scott The low growl of an engine rolled into the courtyard. My head snapped toward the sound, pulse hammering in my ears. Boots thudding against the floor, I rushed to the nearest window and pulled the curtain aside just enough to peer through.Instantly, my gaze met Louisa stepping down from a dark car, her gown wrinkled, hair slightly wild. Yet she looked unharmed.A breath shuddered out of me before I even realised I’d been holding it. Relief hit me like a wave, “Thank the Moon Goddess,” I muttered, my chest heaving. “She’s back.”Behind me, my mother's footsteps clicked closer. She joined me at the window, her perfume brushing past my shoulder. The moment her eyes landed on Louisa, her body stiffened. Her face, carefully arranged in control moments ago, cracked into astonishment. Her lips parted. “How is this possible?” she whispered, almost to herself.I turned slowly, the words twisting knives in my gut. “So you did something,” I said, voice low, but shaking with fury underneat

Scott The cellar smelled of damp stone and old iron. I moved through it the way I moved through everything I wanted to break: deliberate, patient, certain. Kane was already there, shackled to the post, silver chains biting into his wrists and ankles. He looked smaller like that, deflated where he’d once been roaring and dangerous. The blood on his lip had dried into a dark smile that still tried to curl at the edges.“You were my friend, I trusted you.” I said, standing close enough to feel the heat of his ragged breath. He spat at my boots. “And you were a fool to trust me,” he rasped.Something inside me snapped, and I gave the guards a single, slow look. They understood it without being told. The whip came down in a smooth half-circle and the leather cracked through the air. Kane’s head jerked. He groaned, muscles trembling as the rope-burn traced along his back.“Again,” I said. My voice was quiet, controlled, but the edges were keen. “Make it count.”They obliged. The whip san

Louisa/Agnes I sank onto the cushioned seat, my body trembling with rage and disbelief. My palms itched, every fiber of me screaming to call on my power, to burn this silver prison down. But I couldn’t. Not here. Not now. They mustn’t see what was coming, not yet.So I clenched my fists in my lap and gritted my teeth until my jaw ached. For a heartbeat, I thought I could endure it, wait it out. Then something snapped inside me.“Consequences be damned,” I hissed under my breath, shooting to my feet. My hands lifted, the faint glow of power thrumming under my skin as I stretched them toward the door. The air crackled, heavy with the storm rising inside me.But before I could release it, the lock clicked. The door swung open.Three broad-shouldered men flooded in, shadows swallowing the small room. Their boots struck the floor in unison, and before I could even draw back, their hands clamped down on me.“Who are you?” I spat. They didn’t answer. Two seized my arms, yanking me forward,

Louisa/AgnesMargaret inhaled slowly, her chest rising and falling as though she was swallowing the entire weight of the room. Then, without another word, she nodded at the nearest hairdresser. The woman scrambled forward, bowing slightly before reaching for the combs. Margaret sank gracefully into the chair before the mirror, her expression cool and unreadable. One by one, the stylists returned to their tasks, though their hands trembled.Mia slid into the chair beside her, crossing her legs slowly, deliberately, the smirk never leaving her lips. She leaned closer, her voice soft, “She’s an enemy you don’t want to keep around.”I said nothing. My gaze lingered on them, cool and steady, even as something burned low in my stomach. Margaret didn’t answer either, her eyes fixed on her own reflection while the hairdresser twisted and pinned her dark strands with trembling hands.Mia, unsatisfied, shifted her attention. She snapped her fingers at another stylist lingering near the corner.

Louisa/Agnes“Mia!” Margaret’s voice rang out, warm and delighted. She lifted her hand, her face brightening as though sunlight had just entered the room. “You came.”Mia’s lips curled into a knowing smile as she strode closer, every heel-click sharp with intent. “It’s not every day I get summoned by my best Luna,” she said smoothly, her tone dripping with confidence. My chest tightened, the words striking me like a slap. Summoned? My mind reeled. Margaret must have called her or perhaps even texted her. She wanted Mia here, She planned this. I bet she planned on bringing her home with us.Mia’s gaze flicked toward me as she walked, her eyes cutting sharp, the corner of her lips twisting just enough to make her disdain clear. That single glance burned, a silent challenge thrown across the space between us.She stopped before Margaret and bowed deeply, her dark hair spilling forward. Margaret rose instantly, her emerald gown whispering against the floor as she opened her arms and embra
