Fear crept in, I couldn't lose her, and there was no time to rush back to the hospital. But then, without thinking, I leaned forward and pressed my lips to hers. It was more like my wolf, Jean was in control, pulling me closer to her. She opened her lips, allowing me. Instantly, I felt her pain, the burning agony in her leg. It all flooded into me, and after a while, the whole pain was gone. My breath hitched, but I didn’t pull away. There was no pain anymore, just how soft and sweet her lips were. She extracted her hand from mine and pulled me closer by the neck. She didn't want me to stop either. I felt like going further and tearing off her clothes; I wanted her; I've always desired her. If only she wasn't wolf-less, if only she was strong, she would have been perfect for me. She rolled her tongue inside me, making me grip her tighter. (Age:20) It was feeling empty and cold and then suddenly it stopped. A voice screamed at me with so much fury. I wanted to open my eyes, but I had to understand what was going on. “They all said killing my fated mate was the only way I could be free to choose my own!!” He yelled at me. “You're dead! And yet you still haunt me!” I tried to make sense of what he was saying, but my mind was completely blank. “Louisa, you know your death was necessary,” he began pacing around my body. “My father, mother and sister had to be avenged! Alpha George and his pathetic family deserved to die for killing half of my family.” My heart began beating faster; it felt like he was stepping away, and then, I heard splashes of books falling off from a shelf. “He killed them and never returned the bodies!!” He yelled and began stepping closer to me. “Well, to thank you for being the one close enough to dine with them and poison them, I will bury your body myself. I'm sorry I refused to give you the antidote like I promised but I would never have accepted you as my mate.” Damn it! He wanted to bury my body. He thought I was still dead. “I am an Alpha!! I refuse to be controlled! A wolf-less spy will not be my mate!” He smirked. I felt the pressure of his strong arms lifting me, my head lolled against his shoulder. I knew this was the right time to show I was alive so I forced my eyes open, letting a sharp gasp out of my mouth. He froze for a moment; I felt his arms tense. His grip on me loosened and the next thing I felt was hitting my back on the floor. “Ahh,” I gasped, pressing a hand to my head. My body ached, weak and foreign, as if it didn’t belong to me. For a moment, everything blurred, and slowly, I saw where I was. The room was small, filled with shelves stacked with books, boxes and dusty containers labelled in faded ink. A single light bulb was above, casting a glow. While I stood up, he took a step back, staring at me as if I was something unnatural. My heart was beating so fast; my feet trembled beneath me. “No… this isn't…” he paused. “You're supposed to be dead!” Well the man before was huge and tall, muscular built. It felt weird that I couldn't take my eyes off him despite hearing that he wanted dead, I guess that should be because I don't remember anything, especially how I died. “How in the holy hell are you still alive?” He asked, eyes still widened. I had to be careful with my next words. I didn't know who he was, and I couldn't let him know that I couldn't remember who I was. “I survived,” I said. “You, a wolf-less girl, survived a powerful poison that killed a very notorious Alpha and his Luna, including his heirs,” he stated, walking towards me. I opened my mouth but couldn't utter a word, I wasn't sure of what to say, so I closed back my mouth and began biting my lips in thoughts. “Answer me!!” He yelled. “Or perhaps, you lied about eating the food with them.” he paused, “Why come back for the antidote then? You can't be that stupid.” From what I've gathered, he had an enemy he wanted dead. He sent me to win their trust and dine with them, he gave me a poison to wipe out the people that murdered his family, I dined with them but never got an antidote from him. Damn it! I was used and manipulated. “Well, none of that matters anymore, I will just kill you myself!” He smirked. I took a step back immediately, my body tensing but he moved faster. My hands scrambled for anything to hold on to but instead, my back hit the wooden shelf. He reached me and wrapped his fingers around my arm, yanking me forward with so much force. “You had one life purpose! Infiltrate the pack, kill their Alpha's family! One life purpose!” His grip on me tightened. I struggled against his hold but he was too strong. I needed to think fast and save myself. Then, the words slipped from my lips before I could even process them. "Don't you want to know where your mother is?" I gasped. "She is still alive!" His grip loosened and his eyes widened in disbelief. “You're lying,” he said, furrowing his brows. “Perhaps that's why I returned from the dead,” I smirked, extracting myself from his grip. That was my chance to survive, I had to stall and find a way out of my misery. “Think about it! You never saw the bodies!” I said, staring at him and hoping he would buy my story. He shook his head sideways, he didn't want to believe me. My mind raced; I had been given a second chance, and I didn't want to die again without knowing why I was even sent back. So I took a deep breath and took a few steps forward. “If you kill me now, you will never find her,” I said calmly. I looked into his eyes, there was something different, something drawing me to him despite knowing he despises me. I stretched my hand to his face; his blue eyes glowed into golden yellow, and that ignited something in me; I felt my eyes glowing as well. “You manipulative bitch!!” he yelled and pushed me off him. I stumbled but held myself together. “I will never mark you to be mine!” He growled. “You are going to tell me where and how to find my mother right now!” “So that you can kill me afterwards?” I asked, “I need an assurance that once you find her, you will let me live.” I waited for a response while my heart was beating so fast. He clenched his fist, glaring at me.Scott The cellar smelled of damp stone and old iron. I moved through it the way I moved through everything I wanted to break: deliberate, patient, certain. Kane was already there, shackled to the post, silver chains biting into his wrists and ankles. He looked smaller like that, deflated where he’d once been roaring and dangerous. The blood on his lip had dried into a dark smile that still tried to curl at the edges.“You were my friend, I trusted you.” I said, standing close enough to feel the heat of his ragged breath. He spat at my boots. “And you were a fool to trust me,” he rasped.Something inside me snapped, and I gave the guards a single, slow look. They understood it without being told. The whip came down in a smooth half-circle and the leather cracked through the air. Kane’s head jerked. He groaned, muscles trembling as the rope-burn traced along his back.“Again,” I said. My voice was quiet, controlled, but the edges were keen. “Make it count.”They obliged. The whip san
Louisa/Agnes I sank onto the cushioned seat, my body trembling with rage and disbelief. My palms itched, every fiber of me screaming to call on my power, to burn this silver prison down. But I couldn’t. Not here. Not now. They mustn’t see what was coming, not yet.So I clenched my fists in my lap and gritted my teeth until my jaw ached. For a heartbeat, I thought I could endure it, wait it out. Then something snapped inside me.“Consequences be damned,” I hissed under my breath, shooting to my feet. My hands lifted, the faint glow of power thrumming under my skin as I stretched them toward the door. The air crackled, heavy with the storm rising inside me.But before I could release it, the lock clicked. The door swung open.Three broad-shouldered men flooded in, shadows swallowing the small room. Their boots struck the floor in unison, and before I could even draw back, their hands clamped down on me.“Who are you?” I spat. They didn’t answer. Two seized my arms, yanking me forward,
Louisa/AgnesMargaret inhaled slowly, her chest rising and falling as though she was swallowing the entire weight of the room. Then, without another word, she nodded at the nearest hairdresser. The woman scrambled forward, bowing slightly before reaching for the combs. Margaret sank gracefully into the chair before the mirror, her expression cool and unreadable. One by one, the stylists returned to their tasks, though their hands trembled.Mia slid into the chair beside her, crossing her legs slowly, deliberately, the smirk never leaving her lips. She leaned closer, her voice soft, “She’s an enemy you don’t want to keep around.”I said nothing. My gaze lingered on them, cool and steady, even as something burned low in my stomach. Margaret didn’t answer either, her eyes fixed on her own reflection while the hairdresser twisted and pinned her dark strands with trembling hands.Mia, unsatisfied, shifted her attention. She snapped her fingers at another stylist lingering near the corner.
Louisa/Agnes“Mia!” Margaret’s voice rang out, warm and delighted. She lifted her hand, her face brightening as though sunlight had just entered the room. “You came.”Mia’s lips curled into a knowing smile as she strode closer, every heel-click sharp with intent. “It’s not every day I get summoned by my best Luna,” she said smoothly, her tone dripping with confidence. My chest tightened, the words striking me like a slap. Summoned? My mind reeled. Margaret must have called her or perhaps even texted her. She wanted Mia here, She planned this. I bet she planned on bringing her home with us.Mia’s gaze flicked toward me as she walked, her eyes cutting sharp, the corner of her lips twisting just enough to make her disdain clear. That single glance burned, a silent challenge thrown across the space between us.She stopped before Margaret and bowed deeply, her dark hair spilling forward. Margaret rose instantly, her emerald gown whispering against the floor as she opened her arms and embra
Louisa/Agnes“Tell me,” Margaret pressed, her voice steady but sharp with expectation. “I want to know.”I drew in a slow breath, filling my lungs until they ached, then released it carefully. My eyes stayed fixed on the road ahead, the horizon pulling me in like an escape. “You should discuss this with your son,” I said finally, my voice calm but firm. She glanced at me, her mouth tightening before she gave a small hum. “Alright then,” she murmured, not conceding so much as shifting her line of attack. “So what about you, child? How did you meet my other son…Jace?”The sound of his name made my chest tighten. I turned my head slightly, meeting her eyes. “I met him in the Leatherhead Pack,” I said softly. “We became friends… and then, we fell in love.”I wasn't even sure if my words were believable but I needed to say something. It's not like I know exactly how Jace met Louisa but at least I was certain they met in the Leatherhead Pack. The car jolted faintly as Margaret’s hands stiff
Louisa/Agnes POV I smiled faintly at myself in the mirror, though my lips trembled at first. It was the only way I knew to calm the storm tightening my chest. The reflection staring back at me looked composed, her hair falling neatly over her shoulders, her light-blue flare gown softening her frame. I nodded once, as if sealing an agreement with myself. You can do this.Slipping out of the room, I closed the door gently behind me and made my way to the sitting room. The morning light filtered through the tall windows, painting the floor in long streaks of gold. A maid passed by, carrying folded linens against her chest.I stopped her with a small smile. “Has Luna Margaret not come out yet?”She shook her head quickly. “No, my lady, she hasn’t.”My eyes flicked toward the clock on the far wall. “But she said nine. It’s ten minutes past.”The maid hesitated, her voice cautious. “Shall I check up on her for you?”I shook my head, raising a hand gently. “No. She should take her time.”Th
