FAZER LOGINZy's POV
Campus felt like it was waiting for me.
The second I stepped onto the main path I felt it — that low, hungry energy people get when they smell blood. Conversations dipped when I passed. Eyes slid over me and then away too fast. Someone laughed under their breath and I knew, I just knew, it was about me.
I kept my hoodie up and my face blank, but my pulse was already slamming.
They knew.
Of course they knew. Ronan couldn’t keep his mouth shut about anything else in his life, why would this be different? Or maybe the guy he was with had talked. Or maybe the universe just hated me enough to hand my worst night to the entire school on a plate.
I cut through the courtyard faster than usual. A girl from my stats class actually turned her whole body to watch me walk by. I heard the words “caught him” and “another guy” float behind me like smoke.
My jaw clenched so hard it hurt.
I wanted to stop and scream in someone’s face. I wanted to ask them if they felt better now that they had a piece of my humiliation to chew on. Instead I kept walking until I reached the library, shoved the door open harder than necessary, and climbed the stairs two at a time.
Second floor was quieter. I dropped into a chair near the window and stared at nothing.
My hands were shaking again. I pressed them flat against the table and tried to breathe through the rage sitting in my throat like glass.
That was when I felt someone looking at me.
I lifted my head.
He was standing at the end of the aisle.
Tall. Dark hoodie. Messy hair. The quiet one I had seen around campus for months without ever really seeing him. He wasn’t pretending to look at the shelves. He was looking straight at me, like he had been doing it for a while.
Something in his face made my stomach dip.
Not pity.
Something heavier. Something that felt like he already knew too much.
I stared back, refusing to be the first one to break. My heart was doing stupid things against my ribs. I hated it. I hated that anything could still cut through the numbness.
He held my gaze for another long second, then gave the smallest nod and walked away.
I let out a slow breath and realized my nails had left little half-moons in my palms.
Get it together, I told myself. He doesn’t know you. Nobody really knows you. They’re just feeding on the story.
But the rest of the morning felt wrong. Every time someone passed too close I tensed. Every time I heard my name in a whisper I wanted to put my fist through a wall.
By lunch the story had grown teeth.
I was standing in line for coffee when I heard two girls behind me talking like I wasn’t three feet away.
“I heard she walked in on them.”
“No, I heard he told her himself and she lost it.”
“Either way… embarrassing.”
I turned around so slowly they both froze.
I didn’t say a word. I just looked at them until one of them muttered something and they both found somewhere else to be. My hands were still trembling when I took the coffee I didn’t even want.
I was halfway across the open path toward the science building when Bella appeared like she had been waiting for the perfect moment.
She stepped directly into my way, perfect coat, perfect hair, that soft little smile that never meant anything good.
“Zy,” she said, voice smooth. “You look tired.”
“I’m fine.”
She tilted her head, studying me the way people study a car accident.
“People are being so messy today. I almost feel bad for you.”
Almost.
The word sat between us like a blade.
I held her eyes and refused to look away first. Something ugly and tired moved through my chest. I was so sick of people looking at me like my pain was entertainment.
“Is there something you actually need?” I asked.
Bella’s smile widened just a little.
“No. Just checking on you. Campus can be cruel when it gets a new story.”
She stepped past me then, close enough that her shoulder almost brushed mine, and kept walking like the conversation had been nothing.
I stood there for a second longer than I should have, jaw locked, coffee going cold in my hand.
The rest of the day blurred. I sat through a lecture and didn’t hear a single sentence. I walked past groups of people and felt their eyes like hands on my skin. By the time the sun started dropping I was done. Completely done.
I took the long way to the north lot, hoping the quiet would calm the noise in my head.
It didn’t.
He was there again.
Same hoodie. Same stillness. Leaning against the low wall like he belonged to the shadows more than the daylight. He looked up as I got closer, and this time he didn’t nod. He just watched me.
My steps slowed without permission.
There was something in the way he looked at me that felt too steady, too knowing. Like he could see the exact shape of the wound I was carrying and had decided not to pretend it was invisible.
I should have kept walking.
I did.
But even after I passed him, even after I put distance between us, I could still feel the weight of that stare between my shoulder blades.
I reached my car, climbed in, and sat there with my hands on the wheel for a long time before I started the engine.
Campus had spent the entire day chewing on my heartbreak.
Zy's POVBy the next morning the campus had fully turned.I walked to the student center with Ivy and felt the difference in the air. People still stared, but the stares had changed. No more smug little smiles. No more whispering like I was the problem. Now the whispers followed Bella. Screenshots of her bruise selfies were still circulating. Someone had printed the side-by-side timestamps and taped them to a board near the cafeteria. Her name was being dragged in every group chat that used to protect her.Ivy kept checking her phone. “Her closest friend just posted a story. ‘I don’t support fake victims.’ No name, but everybody knows who she means.”I didn’t smile. I just kept walking. We were near the admin building when we saw the black car. Bella’s mother stepped out first, face tight, then Bella herself. She looked smaller than usual. No perfect birthday energy left. Just a girl being walked into the same building where she once sat and destroyed my scholarship. Two staff members
Zy's POVBy noon the whole campus felt different.Ivy and I stayed in my room most of the morning watching the posts multiply, but eventually we had to leave. I had a shift later and she needed food. We barely made it halfway across the courtyard before the energy hit us. People were clustered in small groups, phones out, voices low. A few looked up when I passed. Not with the old pity or disgust. Something closer to curiosity.Ivy muttered, “It’s working.”I didn’t answer. My stomach was tight. We were near the steps of the student center when I heard her.“Zy.”I stopped. Ivy stopped beside me.Bella stood a few feet away, phone clutched in her hand, birthday outfit still perfect, but her face was wrong. The soft victim look was gone. What replaced it was raw and furious. Two of her usual friends hovered behind her but they weren’t standing as close as before.I kept my voice flat. “What?”She stepped closer. “You think this is funny?”“I think it’s your birthday.”Her eyes flashed.
Zy's POVI didn’t sleep at all.Ivy stayed over and we sat on my bed with both phones face-up between us like we were waiting for a bomb to go off. The room was quiet except for the low hum of the fan and the occasional car passing outside. My stomach had been in a tight knot since midnight. Every time I closed my eyes I saw Bella’s face the way she looked in the scholarship office — soft, bruised, playing victim while she ruined my life.At 5:58 a.m. Ivy looked at me.“Ready?”My mouth was dry. “Do it.”She didn’t hesitate. She opened the first burner account and hit post. Then the second. Then the third. Within ninety seconds the same set of photos and the short clip were live across every major campus group chat, story circle, and anonymous board we could reach. No names. No captions pointing fingers. Just the evidence.Side-by-side images of Bella’s “fresh bruises” next to the original timestamped selfies from her own cloud, taken two hours before the meeting. The folder names sit
Zy's POVIvy walked in without knocking, phone in hand, hoodie half zipped. I was about to ask what took her so long when the smell hit me.I wrinkled my nose. “Why do you smell like sex?”She froze for half a second then smirked. “Because I was in the middle of getting fucked when the tech guy called. You’re welcome.”“You’re nasty.”“You’re welcome,” she repeated, dropping onto my bed. “He got everything. Full cloud backup. Original files, timestamps, the folder where she saved the bruise selfies before she put makeup on them. Even the draft captions she never posted.”I sat up straighter. “Show me.”She unlocked her phone and handed it over. I scrolled in silence. The fake bruise photos were timestamped two hours before she walked into the scholarship meeting. The original video files were longer and clearer than the scraps she had been leaking. There was even a screen recording of her editing the “assault” clip.My hands tightened around the phone.“She’s been sitting on all of th
Ivy’s POVHe had me bent over the desk, jeans shoved down to my knees, one strong hand fisted in my hair while the other gripped my hip hard enough to bruise. He wasn’t being gentle. He was fucking me deep and steady, every thrust slamming me forward so the desk legs scraped the floor. The wet sound of his cock driving into me filled the room.“Fuck… ah… shit—” I moaned, fingers digging into the wood.“Take it,” he growled against my ear, pulling my hair so my back arched harder. “Open up for me.”He snapped his hips forward and buried himself to the hilt. I cried out, legs trembling. He didn’t give me time to adjust. He just started pounding into me, rough and relentless, the slap of skin on skin loud and filthy. My tits swung under me with every thrust. I could feel him stretching me open, hitting that spot that made my eyes roll.“Oh my god… yes… fuck me—”He reached around and found my clit, rubbing tight, mean circles while he kept slamming into me from behind. The dual pressure
Zy's POVI was still on the floor when the knocking started.Hard, fast, the kind that didn’t care if the whole house woke up. I dragged myself up, face swollen, and opened the door ready to tell whoever it was to fuck off.Ivy pushed past me before I could say a word.“You look like shit,” she said, dropping her bag on my bed. “Sit down.”“I’m not in the mood, Ivy.”“I don’t care what mood you’re in.” She turned and faced me fully. “When last did you eat?”“I’m fine.”“You’re not fine. You’ve been ignoring my calls for two days and you look like you cried yourself into another dimension. Sit.”I sat because my legs were already done. Ivy stood in front of me with her arms crossed, eyes scanning my face like she was reading every ugly thing I hadn’t said out loud.“What happened?” she asked.I laughed once. It came out cracked. “Grant fucked Bella. That’s what happened.”Ivy’s expression didn’t change the way I expected. No shock. No gasps. Just a tight jaw.“How do you know?”“She se
