Celestine Sterling-Montero

Without another word, I sat on his lap.

The moment I did, I wondered what the hell I had been thinking. This had to be because of the heat; there was simply no other explanation for why my body seemed to be acting before my mind could catch up.

I had been trying to keep my distance from Aeizor, yet somehow, without giving myself enough time to reconsider, I had ended up sitting right on his lap as though it were the most natural thing in the world.

My wolf, probably.

Celestine Sterling-MonteroThe next day arrived, and I was absolutely delighted with how my baking had turned out. I had managed to make a huge batch of treats, enough for all the pack members to have a taste of what I had prepared the day before. There was a large banana cake accompanied by several muffins, and honestly, I was quite proud of how everything had turned out. The cake was moist, the muffins were delicious, and seeing everyone enjoy my baking had made all the effort worthwhile.Although I couldn't help but notice that Aeizor had secretly set aside ten muffins for himself, and I had absolutely no idea where he had put them. The entire baking process had been more stressful than I had anticipated, especially since Aeizor kept having trouble controlling his strength whenever he handled the ingredients or assisted me with the preparations. There were moments when I genuinely worried that we might ruin everything before we even got the chance to put the batter in the oven, b

Christopher Miles“Okay, that’s enough. Pour the batter here,” I heard Luna say, making me stop in my tracks as I turned my attention toward the door leading to the kitchen.A smile slowly crept onto my lips when I realized what was happening inside, but before I could say anything, someone suddenly pinched my side, making me flinch and turn toward the culprit.“Is that Luna and Alpha?” she whispered, leaning closer to me as though we were about to uncover some important secret.I nodded, trying to suppress the grin that threatened to spread across my face. “They’re baking, or rather, she’s teaching him how to bake.”“What? They’re making a child?!” she exclaimed, her eyes widening with excitement.I stared at her for a moment, narrowing my eyes in disbelief as I tried to process how she had managed to misunderstand my words so badly.“How on earth did you hear that wrong?” I sighed, reaching over to pinch her cheeks to ground her back to reality.“No, but what if they made a baby?!”

Celestine Sterling-Montero“It starts early now? The project?” I asked, my eyes widening in disbelief as I stared at Aeizor. He had called me to his study to inform me about the project our university would be starting, and I honestly hadn't expected him to tell me that it would begin so soon. I had barely finished processing the information when I found myself questioning whether I had heard him correctly, because the timeline he had just mentioned was entirely different from what I remembered. It had been a while since that night when I kissed him, only for him to kiss me back, and for some reason, I still couldn't bring myself to face him as often as I normally would. Every time I remembered what had happened between us, I found myself becoming strangely conscious of his presence, and even though I tried to act as though nothing had changed, I couldn't deny that something within me had shifted ever since that night.Unfortunately, avoiding him wasn't as easy as I had hoped, espec

Celestine Sterling-MonteroFor a moment, I could only stare at him, unable to comprehend how someone could say something like that so sincerely. He wasn't blaming me for getting hurt, nor was he reminding me of the responsibilities I had failed to fulfill while I was unconscious. Instead, he was taking the blame upon himself, even though I knew there were things neither of us could have anticipated or controlled. And somehow, that made it all the more difficult for me to hold myself together.I felt something tighten in my chest as tears slowly gathered in my eyes, blurring my vision until I could barely make out his face. I hadn't expected his words to affect me this deeply, yet here I was, struggling to keep the tears from falling as I tried to make sense of the unfamiliar warmth spreading through me.Before I could even think about what I was doing, I leaned forward and wrapped my arms tightly around him, burying my face against his chest as I held him close.Aeizor seemed surpr

Celestine Sterling-MonteroAs I asked the question, my gaze drifted to the carriage nearby, where I caught Tyler glaring in our direction from a distance. His expression made it painfully obvious that he was still in a foul mood, and judging by the way he carried himself, he wasn't particularly interested in pretending otherwise after everything that had happened.“Not good, Celly,” Dad admitted with a sigh, his smile fading slightly as he glanced toward Tyler. “But they'll be fine, so don't worry about it.”I wanted to frown at his answer, but I stopped myself before my expression could give anything away.If things weren't going well between Tyler and Vanessa, then there was a chance that my entire plan could fall apart, putting my life at risk before the six months leading up to my death flag.I couldn't afford to ignore what was happening between them, especially when I knew how important their relationship was supposed to be, and I had to do something to help them grow closer ag

Celestine Sterling-MonteroAeizor cleared his throat before finally beginning his explanation, his expression serious as he addressed everyone in the room.“We received reports from my scouts and watchers that a rogue attack might have occurred almost five days ago,” he began, his voice steady as he explained what had happened. “I made sure to keep her close to me that night, but a matter of life and death required my immediate attention, so I had to leave her for a while.”Is that why he invited me to sleep in his room back then?I bit my lower lip as the realization slowly dawned on me, my gaze unconsciously shifting toward my husband. All this time, I had thought he had invited me into his room because he wanted to do something with me, and the memory suddenly made me feel a little embarrassed.Of course, I couldn't exactly blame myself for thinking that way, especially considering the circumstances between us, but hearing his explanation now made me realize that he had been tryin
