Chapter 2

Author: Cocojam
"Goddess! You're pregnant again?"

Cain's mother pushed the butler aside and rushed over.

"Quick, help her up! This is the hope of the Iron Claw Pack!" Cain's father beamed.

Cain was even more thrilled. He smiled and wrapped his arm around Jasmine, carefully protecting her waist.

Standing outside the crowd, I watched this absurd scene coldly. For a second, I zoned out.

The man who made me countless promises and marked me just last night already had three kids with someone else.

My stomach churned violently.

The memories of silver poisoning burning my organs inch by inch flooded my mind, coldly reminding me.

In this life, I must never beg for any bullshit love.

Snapping back to reality, I met Jasmine's provocative gaze.

She pushed past Cain's parents and swayed her hips as she walked up to me.

"Luna, I'm heavy with child, so I can't bow to you. But I prepared a special gift for you."

She picked up a glass of deep red liquid from a tray and offered it to me. A vicious glint flashed in her eyes.

"I brewed this herbal tonic myself. Consider it a peace offering. Drink it."

I didn't take it.

I looked down, staring dead at the red juice.

In my past life, even though I fought it fiercely, she was still brought into the main house.

She offered this exact juice, and under the pressure of Cain's parents, I was forced to drink it.

It was spiked with purified wolfsbane extract. It wouldn't kill me, but it would make a she-wolf permanently sterile.

Unknowingly forced to drink it, I completely lost my ability to have pups, and any chance to turn the tables.

This time, I took two steps forward.

Instead of taking the glass, I reached past it and clamped my hand tightly around Jasmine's wrist.

Her face changed. "Luna?"

"I appreciate the thought," I looked at her coldly. "But I have silver poisoning. My body is weak. I can't even randomly drink the medicine the pack doctor gives me. Keep this juice for yourself."

Before she could argue, I took another step closer.

"Besides, since you're pregnant with a pureblood again, I'll completely leave the heavy burden of raising the future heir to you." I stared right into her eyes, enunciating every word. "You must take really good care of yourself."

Jasmine's eyes went wide in shock.

I knew why she was shocked.

She was shocked I didn't drink the juice, and even more shocked that I accepted her and her pups so easily, even giving up my right to raise them.

To outsiders, I was a fiery Luna who wouldn't take any disrespect. I would never swallow my pride like this.

I didn't wait for her to speak. I turned straight to Cain.

"Since the pups are moving in, let the butler settle them down. I'm tired. I'm going to rest."

With that, I forced tears into my eyes, turned around, and walked away.

"Aurora!"

As soon as I reached the second-floor hallway, Cain rushed after me and grabbed my wrist.

I spun around and "weakly" threw myself into his arms.

"Cain..." I pretended to sob with grievance, my voice trembling. "Seeing you so happy holding her, I was so scared. Are you only going to love her and not me anymore?"

Cain stiffened for a second, then let out a low chuckle.

My insecure display of weakness deeply satisfied his Alpha vanity and need for control.

He hugged me back tightly, kissing my hair, and sent a wave of comfort through our mate bond.

"Silly girl, how could I not love you? She is just a breeding tool. You are my only mate. My heart is only yours. With her pups, you won't have to suffer the pain of childbirth, and we can be together forever, right?"

I hugged him tighter.

It was the only way to hide my face—filled with extreme disgust and the urge to rip him apart.

From now on, I will be a perfectly qualified Luna.

Not for love, but for revenge.

A few days later, using my health as an excuse, I returned to my family's estate.

"That bastard! How dare he humiliate you like this!"

In the study, my father kicked a chair over, his eyes bloodshot with fury.

"I'm going to contact the Alliance Alphas right now! Tomorrow, I'll freeze all of the Iron Claw Pack's mining transport lines!"

"Father! No!"

I rushed over and held his hand tightly.

The tragedy of my past life was still fresh in my mind.

My father's tough resistance didn't save me. Instead, it brought Cain's sinister and crazy revenge.

Our family business was completely ruined.

My brother was framed by him, thrown into prison, and eventually exiled.

"If we turn on him now, we can't win. He'll just destroy us all." I looked at my angry parents and brother, speaking calmly. "My brother must be safe, and our family cannot fall. I will take everything back, but I need you to follow my plan."

My father fell back onto the sofa with red eyes.

I took a deep breath and turned to my mother.

"Mother, take me to the secret vault. I need that item."

In the underground vault, my mother brought out the box I needed.

A deep blue, teardrop-shaped pendant lay quietly on black velvet, giving off a mesmerizing glow.

It was our family's secret heirloom, passed down for generations.

"The Moon Goddess's Tear."

My mother carefully handed it to me, her voice trembling slightly.

"You know its true power. Our ancestors once saved a descendant of the Moon Goddess. The Goddess gifted this 'Tear' and left a prophecy."

She gently closed my fingers around the pendant.

"Its divine magic will purge the silver from your veins, heal your wolf, and guarantee conception."

She looked straight into my eyes, her voice dropping to a whisper.

"But more importantly... the pup conceived under its power will have a bloodline surpassing all purebloods. They will be supreme."

In the end, Cain paid a massive compensation to the Silver Moon Pack. The mining rights to three mines, plus a ten-year resource supply agreement. After having his legs broken in public, Rex was exiled to the frozen wastelands of the far North. No pack protection, no medical treatment. For a seven-year-old pup, the only thing waiting for him was death. Jasmine swore to make a comeback. She tried desperately to get pregnant again to win back Cain's favor. But with my secret interference, her womb stayed empty for two whole years. Her body quickly broke down from grief and despair. Unable to bear the loneliness, she started having an affair with a rogue werewolf. I was prepared for this. Just when she thought she was doing it flawlessly, the filthy video was sent straight to Cain's phone. "That bitch!" Cain went crazy with rage, smashing his phone to pieces. "She betrayed my bloodline! She betrayed the pack!" That same night, Cain threw a trembling Jasmine right in front of

I gently set the glass on the desk and walked to his side. "Cain, you misunderstood." My voice was as soft as a feather. "I just didn't want to see Jasmine playing mind games with you again. Rather than letting her come back to fight for your favor, I thought I'd proactively arrange better candidates for you." Cain's stiff shoulders relaxed slightly. "Are you jealous?" He slowly turned around, a hint of smugness in his eyes. I looked down, pretending to be shy, and nodded. "How could I not care? Seeing you with another woman breaks my heart. But I'm more terrified that Jasmine might hurt Jasper." That sentence completely stroked Cain's vanity. He strode over and pulled me into his arms. "I knew you still loved me deeply." He whispered in my ear. "Aurora, you will always be my only Luna. My only true love." Suppressing my nausea, I offered him the glass. "Then promise me, don't ever let Jasmine come back to you." "Of course." Cain took the glass, staring at me affectionately.

I coldly pushed away Cain's hand as he reached to touch my cheek. "Don't touch me." Cain's hand froze mid-air, a hurt look flashing in his eyes. "Aurora, I know you're still mad, but—" "I'm going back to my family's estate to rest for the pregnancy." I cut him off, my voice leaving no room for negotiation. "What?" Cain's eyes widened. "No! You're carrying the Alpha King. You must stay here to receive the best protection and care." I sneered and struggled to sit up. "Protection? Cain, you almost killed me and our pup." "Aurora, that was all a misunderstanding—" "Misunderstanding?" My voice spiked. "You said it yourself that my pup was just weak trash! You said I didn't deserve to be compared to Jasmine! Was that a misunderstanding too?" Cain's face turned deathly pale. Just then, the door pushed open. Cain's parents rushed in, plastering flattering smiles on their faces. "Aurora, you're awake! How are you feeling?" Cain's mother sucked up to me, walking to the bed. "I've al

"What?" Jasmine held the dead baby, staring at the Seer in sheer disbelief. Seer Silas slowly raised his wooden staff carved with moon phases, the tip pointing straight at me in the pool of blood. "The Alpha King is here." Dead silence fell over the hall. Even the air seemed to freeze. "Impossible!" Jasmine screamed shrilly. "Seer, are you mistaken? She was poisoned by silver. Her bloodline is tainted! How could she be carrying the Alpha King?" Cain's parents quickly exchanged glances, silently doing the math. "The time of Aurora's pregnancy..." Cain's mother turned pale, "perfectly matches the time of the Seer's prophecy." Cain's attitude instantly did a complete 180. "You are... you are actually carrying the Alpha King?" Cain's face went dead pale. His earlier arrogance vanished completely. He finally remembered my desperate cries before the whipping, and my bloodline that he had treated like dirt. He was the first to rush forward, carefully lifting my blood-covered body.

"She gave birth! She gave birth!" the midwife's voice called from the delivery room. Everyone instantly surged toward the annex. Even the guard whipping me dropped his whip and rushed over. I lay in the pool of blood, feeling the fiery agony on my back. The hundred lashes weren't finished, but right now, nobody cared. The hall was instantly empty, leaving me all alone. The executioner guard had stopped to join the crowd. I struggled to push myself up. Blood dripped from my wounds onto the marble floor. "It's a girl! It's a girl!" Cain's furious roar came from the delivery room. "How could it be a girl? Wasn't it supposed to be the Alpha King?" Followed by Cain's mother's shrill questioning. I sneered. In my past life, Jasmine did indeed give birth to a daughter this time. And because she abused labor-inducing drugs, the pup was born sickly and frail. Right after, an even more horrific scream rang out: "Goddess! The baby... the baby isn't breathing!" It was the midwife.

"Aurora, don't make a fuss over a little scratch. Rex is just a pup. Bear with it for me, okay?" After the party, Cain only spared a moment to check on me in the master bedroom. He didn't even look at the bandage on my forehead. He just casually threw out a promise, "Don't worry, once Jasmine gives birth to the heir, I'll make the pup acknowledge you as its mother. You will still be the most honorable Luna." As soon as he finished speaking, a maid rushed over from outside, saying Jasmine's stomach was hurting. Cain's face changed instantly. He turned and dashed out without hesitation, not even leaving a word of comfort. And the moment he stepped out the door, he unilaterally cut off our mind link. Silently. He was afraid my jealousy would ruin his mood.Facing the empty room, I let out a cold laugh. Half a month later. My trusted pack doctor held the test results, his hands shaking uncontrollably. "Luna, you... you are pregnant!" The doctor lowered his voice, his eyes burnin
