Chapter 3

Author: Cocojam
The moment I put on the "Moon Goddess's Tear," I felt the blood in my veins boil.

Back at the pack, I immediately started my scheme.

I pushed my family's wealth to its limits.

Using my negotiation skills, I effortlessly helped Cain seize a rich new territory from a sworn enemy.

The entire Iron Claw Pack praised my wisdom.

At the peak of my reputation, I took the initiative to suggest throwing a grand recognition ceremony for Jasmine's illegitimate pups.

"Everything for the pack's growth," I smiled at the council of elders.

This scandal was instantly repackaged into a beautiful story of my generosity.

Using the excuse of helping the pups adjust, Cain naturally stayed in Jasmine's room for almost a whole month.

Until a few days before the ceremony.

Cain pushed open the master bedroom door, reeking of alcohol and sweet Omega scent.

He grabbed me into a tight hug, his heavy breathing blowing against my neck.

"Aurora... I'm so happy you're willing to accept those pups as heirs." He kissed my cheek with drunken eyes. "Keeping the woman I love most by my side is the luckiest thing in my life."

He pinned me to the bed, his large hands eagerly tearing at my nightgown.

"After Rex's party, I will spend good time with you... I only have you in my heart..."

Feeling his sickening touch, my stomach cramped.

But I didn't push him away.

I even played along and wrapped my arms around his neck.

...

A few months later, the main hall was brightly lit.

It was the eldest pup Rex's fifth birthday, and also his recognition party.

The entire hall was set up like a playground, packed with guests.

"I don't want this! This is garbage!"

A shrill scream interrupted the party music.

The violently tempered Rex was destroying the desserts on the table like crazy just because he didn't like a toy an elder gave him.

As the Luna, I frowned and stepped forward to stop him.

"Get away! You filthy rich human lapdog!" Rex turned around fiercely, grabbed a heavy crystal wolf statue from the table, and threw it hard at me.

He was too close. I couldn't dodge in time.

Smash!

The crystal hit my forehead and shattered instantly.

Warm blood ran down my cheek and dripped onto my gown.

The entire room gasped.

Rex pointed right at my nose, cursing viciously, "You're a bitch who stole my mom's mate! A useless piece of trash who can't even have pups! You don't deserve to be Luna!"

"Rex!" Jasmine cried out in shock.

She immediately dropped to her knees in front of me, clinging to my legs, crying beautiful tears. "Luna, please have mercy! He's just a pup! Please don't hurt him!"

What brilliant acting.

Turning a violent attack into a weak victim begging for mercy.

Cain quickly pushed his way through the crowd.

He looked at my bloodied face, then at Jasmine kneeling on the floor, and just froze. He didn't say a single word to scold that violent bastard pup.

Just then, the heavy oak doors of the hall were slowly pushed open.

The noisy banquet hall instantly went dead silent.

The man who entered wore a grey robe and held a wooden staff carved with moon phase totems.

It was Silas, the most respected high Seer in the werewolf world. The legendary messenger who could hear the Moon Goddess's oracle directly.

He showed up uninvited.

Silas stared at me for a few seconds, then gave me a slight nod, his eyes profound.

"Seer! Please take the seat of honor!" Cain's father walked forward excitedly to greet him.

Silas stopped. He raised his wooden staff, his voice echoing through the hall:

"I feel it. An unprecedentedly powerful force is gathering above the Iron Claw Pack."

The entire room held its breath.

"A pup is about to be born." Silas closed his eyes. "He is the Alpha King, one in a century. He will unite all territories and lead the lycan world to absolute glory."

"The Alpha King?!"

Cain was overjoyed, sheer greed erupting in his eyes.

Without hesitation, he left me behind, pulled Jasmine up from the floor, and carefully led her in front of the Seer.

"Seer! You mean the pup in Jasmine's womb, right?" Cain's voice trembled with excitement. "She is carrying my pureblood heir!"

Silas slowly opened his eyes and looked at Jasmine's slightly bulging belly.

He frowned and stayed silent.

But Jasmine was already swept away in pure ecstasy.

She arrogantly tilted her chin up and looked at me smugly. Her eyes were full of showing off.

"Goddess! The Alpha King!" Cain's mother screamed and rushed over. "Quick! Get a soft chair for Jasmine! Do not exhaust the future of our pack!"

The entire hall instantly went wild.

Everyone was flattering Jasmine and Cain, hoisting this Omega mistress onto a pedestal.

Meanwhile, I stood all alone in a forgotten corner with blood dripping down my face, completely ignored.

Watching this circus coldly, I quietly placed a hand over my flat stomach.

In my past life, Jasmine gave birth to a very mediocre daughter from this pregnancy.

But right now, through the resonance of the "Moon Goddess's Tear," I clearly felt a faint, yet overwhelmingly powerful life force in my own womb.

As the circus neared its end, Silas prepared to leave.

But as he walked past me, he stopped.

The Seer pulled a smooth moonstone from his sleeve. Avoiding everyone's eyes, he quietly pressed it into my palm.

"This is a welcoming gift for my future King."

In the end, Cain paid a massive compensation to the Silver Moon Pack. The mining rights to three mines, plus a ten-year resource supply agreement. After having his legs broken in public, Rex was exiled to the frozen wastelands of the far North. No pack protection, no medical treatment. For a seven-year-old pup, the only thing waiting for him was death. Jasmine swore to make a comeback. She tried desperately to get pregnant again to win back Cain's favor. But with my secret interference, her womb stayed empty for two whole years. Her body quickly broke down from grief and despair. Unable to bear the loneliness, she started having an affair with a rogue werewolf. I was prepared for this. Just when she thought she was doing it flawlessly, the filthy video was sent straight to Cain's phone. "That bitch!" Cain went crazy with rage, smashing his phone to pieces. "She betrayed my bloodline! She betrayed the pack!" That same night, Cain threw a trembling Jasmine right in front of

I gently set the glass on the desk and walked to his side. "Cain, you misunderstood." My voice was as soft as a feather. "I just didn't want to see Jasmine playing mind games with you again. Rather than letting her come back to fight for your favor, I thought I'd proactively arrange better candidates for you." Cain's stiff shoulders relaxed slightly. "Are you jealous?" He slowly turned around, a hint of smugness in his eyes. I looked down, pretending to be shy, and nodded. "How could I not care? Seeing you with another woman breaks my heart. But I'm more terrified that Jasmine might hurt Jasper." That sentence completely stroked Cain's vanity. He strode over and pulled me into his arms. "I knew you still loved me deeply." He whispered in my ear. "Aurora, you will always be my only Luna. My only true love." Suppressing my nausea, I offered him the glass. "Then promise me, don't ever let Jasmine come back to you." "Of course." Cain took the glass, staring at me affectionately.

I coldly pushed away Cain's hand as he reached to touch my cheek. "Don't touch me." Cain's hand froze mid-air, a hurt look flashing in his eyes. "Aurora, I know you're still mad, but—" "I'm going back to my family's estate to rest for the pregnancy." I cut him off, my voice leaving no room for negotiation. "What?" Cain's eyes widened. "No! You're carrying the Alpha King. You must stay here to receive the best protection and care." I sneered and struggled to sit up. "Protection? Cain, you almost killed me and our pup." "Aurora, that was all a misunderstanding—" "Misunderstanding?" My voice spiked. "You said it yourself that my pup was just weak trash! You said I didn't deserve to be compared to Jasmine! Was that a misunderstanding too?" Cain's face turned deathly pale. Just then, the door pushed open. Cain's parents rushed in, plastering flattering smiles on their faces. "Aurora, you're awake! How are you feeling?" Cain's mother sucked up to me, walking to the bed. "I've al

"What?" Jasmine held the dead baby, staring at the Seer in sheer disbelief. Seer Silas slowly raised his wooden staff carved with moon phases, the tip pointing straight at me in the pool of blood. "The Alpha King is here." Dead silence fell over the hall. Even the air seemed to freeze. "Impossible!" Jasmine screamed shrilly. "Seer, are you mistaken? She was poisoned by silver. Her bloodline is tainted! How could she be carrying the Alpha King?" Cain's parents quickly exchanged glances, silently doing the math. "The time of Aurora's pregnancy..." Cain's mother turned pale, "perfectly matches the time of the Seer's prophecy." Cain's attitude instantly did a complete 180. "You are... you are actually carrying the Alpha King?" Cain's face went dead pale. His earlier arrogance vanished completely. He finally remembered my desperate cries before the whipping, and my bloodline that he had treated like dirt. He was the first to rush forward, carefully lifting my blood-covered body.

"She gave birth! She gave birth!" the midwife's voice called from the delivery room. Everyone instantly surged toward the annex. Even the guard whipping me dropped his whip and rushed over. I lay in the pool of blood, feeling the fiery agony on my back. The hundred lashes weren't finished, but right now, nobody cared. The hall was instantly empty, leaving me all alone. The executioner guard had stopped to join the crowd. I struggled to push myself up. Blood dripped from my wounds onto the marble floor. "It's a girl! It's a girl!" Cain's furious roar came from the delivery room. "How could it be a girl? Wasn't it supposed to be the Alpha King?" Followed by Cain's mother's shrill questioning. I sneered. In my past life, Jasmine did indeed give birth to a daughter this time. And because she abused labor-inducing drugs, the pup was born sickly and frail. Right after, an even more horrific scream rang out: "Goddess! The baby... the baby isn't breathing!" It was the midwife.

"Aurora, don't make a fuss over a little scratch. Rex is just a pup. Bear with it for me, okay?" After the party, Cain only spared a moment to check on me in the master bedroom. He didn't even look at the bandage on my forehead. He just casually threw out a promise, "Don't worry, once Jasmine gives birth to the heir, I'll make the pup acknowledge you as its mother. You will still be the most honorable Luna." As soon as he finished speaking, a maid rushed over from outside, saying Jasmine's stomach was hurting. Cain's face changed instantly. He turned and dashed out without hesitation, not even leaving a word of comfort. And the moment he stepped out the door, he unilaterally cut off our mind link. Silently. He was afraid my jealousy would ruin his mood.Facing the empty room, I let out a cold laugh. Half a month later. My trusted pack doctor held the test results, his hands shaking uncontrollably. "Luna, you... you are pregnant!" The doctor lowered his voice, his eyes burnin
