ROWAN

I caught her before she fell on the ground, I didn’t know what was wrong with her and concerned me greatly. I looked at her feet and there was dried blood. I inspected her, but she was not injured anywhere. Was she really vomiting blood?

My own blood ran cold in my veins, what was wrong with her. “Call the doctor, tell her to come to Aurora’s room, now!” I ordered, scooping her up and rushing out of the dungeon with her going to the packhouse.

I was taking the stairs two at a time rushing to get to her room quicker. Just as I laid her on the bed Dr Marting walked in.

“Check on her," I said, stepping aside, "She vomited blood, something is wrong.”

He said nothing, just started his work. He took her blood pressure, his face tightening as he read the results.

I looked at Auroras pale sleeping face.

I didn’t know what to do for that woman to stop what she has been doing. Years had passed since Vivian disappeared, since she killed her.

She had me marry her, she was my wife. Why couldn’t she just stay quietly by my side and not cause trouble?

Was she that jealous and threatened by Vivian that even in her death she still couldn’t change? Aurora was not always like that. She was good when she came back, we got close, and we were friends.

She was after all, Vivian's sister. They might have not been biological sisters, but Vivian loved her like she was. I loved her too as her sister. But then she did something to Vivian which I still didn’t understand why she could do something like that.

Everyone knew she didn’t deserve to be my wife, but father forced me to marry her so she could heal me. I had imprisoned her after Vivian disappeared. When father forced me to marry her, I went to the dungeon, only for my wolf to go crazy claiming she was our mate.  I couldn’t believe how the Moon Goddess could be that cruel.

“Alpha!” I snapped out of it and glared at the doctor. “It’s too high,” he muttered. “Much too high.”

“What do you mean?”

Before he could continue, Aurora stirred. Her eyes snapped open and she glared at him, pulling the blanket up to her chest.

“What the hell are you doing?” she hissed.

“You fainted Aurora," I started, trying to explain. “Let him—”

“So what if I fainted?” she snapped, cutting me off. “Why do you care? Why are you pretending you do?”

Her words hit harder than I wanted to admit. I was only trying to help her. She could be arrogant, impossible even, but seeing her like this… fragile and angry… something in me twisted.

Dr. Marting hesitated, stepping back. “Alpha, maybe I should leave. She clearly doesn’t—”

“No,” I said sharply. “You’re not going anywhere.”

He blinked at me, confused.

“She’s sick, whether she wants to admit it or not. You’ll stay and monitor her until I say otherwise.”

Aurora turned her face away, muttering something under her breath. I ignored it. I could feel the defiance rolling off her, but I also saw how pale she’d gone. The tremor in her hands. She was trying too hard to hide how weak she really felt.

Dr. Marting gave a quiet nod and continued his examination, though Aurora kept glaring at both of us. When he asked her to sit up so he could listen to her breathing, she refused, but I stepped forward and helped her up anyway. She didn’t fight me this time. Not really.

After a few minutes, the doctor said softly, “She needs rest. And someone to watch her. I’ll prepare some medicine.”

“Do it,” I said. “And send someone with the results to me directly.”

When he left the room to gather supplies, I stood by her bed. She wouldn’t look at me.

“You should let people help you,” I said quietly.

“I don’t need anyone,” she murmured, voice low, eyes closed.

“Clearly, you do,” I said, and for once, she didn’t have a comeback. Only silence.

I stayed until her breathing evened out. Then I stepped into the hallway, where my mother was already waiting.

“Why are you still wasting your time with that woman?” she asked coldly.

“She is sick.” I answered simply.

My mom clicked her tongue. “She better recover quickly. We’re going to her family’s home soon.”

I sighed. The last place I wanted to go was that house. I hadn’t set foot there since Vivian disappeared.

 “I don’t think I will go.” I muttered.

My mother’s glare was sharp enough to cut glass. “Don’t be ridiculous. I’m not showing up alone.”

I gave up arguing. “Fine. I will go."We still needed the old beta family. They had connections that we needed. We needed to at least show them some respect.

When I went back to Aurora’s room, she was gone from the bed. The sound of running water came from the bathroom. I sat and waited.

When she finally came out, she looked like a ghost — pale, drained, barely standing.

“What are you doing in here?” she asked, frowning as if I was the intruder.

“I need you to rest for a bit,” I said quietly. “We’re expected at your family’s dinner tonight. I’ll come for you in two hours.”

"Pfft,"Aurora suddenly let out a cold laugh.

She didn’t answer. She just turned her back on me, climbed into bed, and pulled the blanket over her.

“Aurora,” I called again. Nothing.

“You’d better be ready when I come for you,” I said, though even I could hear the edge of frustration in my voice.

She stayed silent, pretending I wasn’t there. Maybe she really was sick. Or maybe she just didn’t care anymore. Either way, it left a bitter taste in my mouth.

When I left her room, my mother was in the kitchen waiting, arms crossed.

“Why do you keep going to her when she makes you miserable?”  I was in no moon to deal with her as well. “That witch better follow up or…”

“That’s enough, mother!” I didnt want to hear her insult Aurora like that anymore. I thought of her pale face, and a wave of worry I had never felt before surged through me.

AURORAI tried to turn, only to be hit by a sharp pain on my side that made me groan. “Are you wake, do you need anything?” that was Darien, he was always there whenever I got myself into trouble. “Where is Conri?” I was trying to sit up but he pushed me back to lay down. “Don’t move like that, you will open your stitches.” I laid back reluctantly. “Conri is fine,” he moved for me to see, through the door I could see Conri with the seer on the rocking chair. I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding. “How are you feeling?” my mind went to the nanny. “Where is the nanny?” Darien raised an eyebrow.“Send someone to her place, she told me they had her mother. Please send someone there.” Darien sighed. “So, she was the one who stabbed you.” I didn’t care about that, and it was not like she wanted to. “She had no choice, D

ROWANAfter leaving the beta, the warrior took me to a pile of bodies. They were about to burn them when we got there. I searched through them; you could imagine how that went. Me tossing bodies around, The Undead warriors glaring and growling at me. But they couldn’t do anything since I got permission to check. But I didn’t find her, by the time I got back to the gate where I left Steven, I looked as if I as in the battle as well. Body all over my clothes and hands. Steven hurried to me; they refused to let him enter with me. I understood where they were coming from since they just got attacked.“Alpha, are you alright?” I nodded leading the way toward the car. It was in the front gate. It was like I was having an out of body experience. I didn’t find Aurora amongst the dead bodies. Which was good, it meant she was alive somewhere. But I couldn’t take my mind off that baby, it didn’t belong to the beta judging by what he said. But why couldn’t I stop thinking about him? “Alpha, what

DARIENThe pack was busy dealing with the aftermath of the battle with the rogues. The future king, Conri. Slept as if he were dragged. His mother on the other hand, I glanced at her. She was still unconscious, and her condition was very concerning for me. The seer went and came back with some medicine and applied it to her wound. The silver had turned the blood on the wound dark making it look old and infected. She was going to be fine; I had faith in the seer but that didn’t mean liked seeing the woman get hurt. She had been through enough and I wanted her to be happy.“Someone find the nanny for me and bring her here. Dead or alive.” I send a message through the mind link. Where was she, where did she go and why did she leave her alone with the baby. Who stabbed her? I needed answers, I hated not knowing things.I sent my beta away right in the middle of the battle to go find out who hired those morons and what it was they wanted. They was no way they could be that persistent. What

STEVENI ran like a mad man towards The Undead. People might not understand why I was the one running around for that woman. To me, the Luna was not just anyone, she was a good woman. Someone who was nice to an outcast like me even though I was one of the high-ranking wolves. No one cared for me or bothered to listen to me.That was the alpha’s doing, always listening to Jayson and Greyson. I didn’t even know why he listened to Greyson when he was not part of the pack’s management or was it because he was of beta blood. Was he trying to make up for the fact that he chose Jayson instead of him to be his beta? I didn’t know. But what I didn’t understand was why was I treated indifferently by them? Only the Luna reported things to me. Gave me a plate of food or a cup of coffee or snack when I was working late. If she knew I was in the office with the alpha, she would bring me food as well.If not, she would check on me in the back yard and bring me food. That was the kind of person she w

ROWAN“Something is wrong with our mate?” I stood, for the past days I had been trying to get back to my routine. Going to the training grounds in the morning but I skipped the runs with Jayson and Greyson. I was not ready to force a smile with them as if everything was okay. I had also taken back some of the pack duties from father.Nothing too serious, though. I was in my office going through some paperwork when Damon decided it was a good idea to tell me about our mate. “What is wrong, can you tell where she is?” Aurora was alive, that was for sure, but I didn’t know where she was.“I can’t tell where she is, but I can feel her distress.” I paced, what was I going to do about that, huh? Sit around crossing fingers and hope for the best. Just where the fuck was, she and what was going on with her? The door suddenly opened and in walked my mother. I sighed feeling drained already, I knew whatever she was going to say was something I was not going to like. But she did look happy, wha

  • I Died as His Luna, He Went Mad   CHAPTER 75

DARIENI had expected them to come but I didn’t think they would have the numbers. But they did and they were prepared. Their leaders were present as well, which meant one of two things. One, they were paid a huge amount of money for the attack or two. They were doing it for personal reasons, which I didn’t know what they could be as I had never had any encounter with them. But then again, they were rogues, they didn’t need a reason to act the way they did, it was in their nature. There was one thing they didn’t think about though or take into consideration. My pack, we were not called the undead for no reason. We all could have died at some point, but we defeated death and came back to life.Neither one of us was afraid to death, that was the different between us and them. “Undead! We don’t have all day, let’s finish this!” I yelled at them as I stood bloodied in the middle of dead bodies. My warriors responded in kind. They moved like the ghosts they were killing everything in sight
