Chapter 18
"Silent much," Scott says while stealing a glance at me. We've been quiet for about ten minutes in his car as he drives and I don't know what to say.
"Are you okay? What's up?" he asks once I fail to respond and pulls over at the road side and turns to me, then he squints.
"Why is part of your hair wet? Did Blake do anything bad to you? Kyrah, say something or else we'll end up sleeping right here on this spot because I am not driving until you say something," he sounds dead serious.
"Don't worry about it, I'm just... Well I was in his jacuzzi then mom called and then you showed up outside Blake's house, how did you even know where I was?" I ask and then my eyes narrow at him, "You didn't follow us did you?"
"No way! Why would I do such a thing? I was taking a walk to the donut shop and met Jim, he told me he saw you and Blake going inside Blake's house," he says.
"Oh," is all I can say, Jim lives close to Blake, but not too close

A few minutes later, I'm still awake and I decide to wake up, so I switch the lights back on and head to the bathroom to take a shower.Scott is coming for me at seven in the morning so I might as well get ready early.After my warm shower, I grab my white robe, put it on over my pajamas and head downstairs to make some pancakes. Voices are in the background and I hear Roxy's very loud whisper. At that moment, I choose to open my eyes."She's up!" I'm still struggling to get some sleep when a nurse opens the door and walks in with a tray full of medicine bottles and syringes.I don't remember anyone mentioning any of that, and I hate medicine, totally scared of syringes, the one on my arm is enough torture for me to handle. The look on my mom's face when I arrived home yesterday in wet clothes was priceless. At first she was shocked that maybe Sabrina had done something to me but then smiled when her eyes landed on Scott who was wet as well and she just laughed at us.Yesterday was quite a lovely day at the beach with Scott.
