Strawberry cake

Chapter 2| Strawberry Cake

AYISHA'S POV

"How's Ayisha doing, Nurse? Is she all right? What caused her to pass out?"

Wait, that's Jannah's voice. Where am I? I slowly opened my eyes and adjusted my vision to the light, and when I felt it was fine, I realized I was inside the Academy's clinic.

What happened? How did I end up here? Wait! Chonggo! He picked me up when I passed out, as I recall. What did he say to me before I collapsed? He appears to be apologizing, but this is impossible. That guy! I don't believe he knows the word "sorry."

"Hey! Girl! What happened to you that caused you to lose consciousness?"

I came to a halt in my thoughts when Jannah spoke up and kissed me; what a silly cousin, she can't even close her mouth.

"Ms. Jannah, Ms. Duffel went unconscious because maybe she was hungry."

The nurse handed me the pill. "Take it so you don't have a headache anymore." I just smiled at her.

"Who, by the way, brought me here?"

I know Kian brought me, but I'd rather be certain.

"Kian Thayre Ice brought you here, as well as your foot," she said, looking at my foot.

"Kian informed me that you sprained your ankle after falling on the stairs."

"Thank you, Nurse. May I go out now?" I asked.

I got up and was about to stand up when Jannah stopped me.

"Wait! What happened, huh? Why did you fall down the stairs? And why did Kian take you?"

Jannah is really annoying, she even overpowered the reporter, and the gaga is still in front of me. Haaayy, that man is bw*tch! I'm always devastated whenever he's around.

I knew this girl wouldn't blame me if she didn't know why I fell down the stairs, so I just told her the whole story. Jannah remained ecstatic as I told her.

Fortunately, the Nurse was out of the clinic and couldn't hear what we were saying.

"Kyaahhh! Omg! Omg! Kyaahhh!"

She was still jumping up and down in excitement and laughingly hitting the bed.

Look at this girl, she's like a stupid! Duhhh! What's exciting about that? It's annoying!

Later, she abruptly came to a halt and grabbed both of my shoulders.

 "Is that true, Sha?"

I can see the joy on her face.

While she waited for my response, her eyes remained bright.

"No, and why would I be delighted by that chonggo? Tsk! You know how much I despise that man."

I stood up and felt my leg to see if it hurt any longer.

When my foot no longer hurt, I smiled and quickly picked up my bag from the bench. Jannah's brow was already wrinkled when I looked at her.

"What's the matter with you? Why are you acting this way?"

 What is this girl thinking?

"Aren't you heartless to him? Sha, why is your heart numb for Kian?"

Why am I angry with that man? Well, I despise rich people; I'm just angry!

"Don't find out, Jannah; you might cry if you do. How did our quiz turn out? It's his fault I didn't get in because of that arrogant man. Nah, let's just go to the canteen. I'm starving."

I followed her out of the clinic. She was right behind me.

"The quiz is okay, but it's a shame because our quiz earlier had 100 items and you got 0. Ms. M looked for you earlier but I didn't answer her."

"I'm sorry I didn't take the test."

We simply talked until we arrived at the canteen. Jannah took the lead while I worked on my hair. I tied it in the back to keep it from getting in the way.

We just talked until we got to the canteen. While I worked on my hair, Jannah took the lead. I tied it in the back to keep it out of the way.

I had just finished tying my hair when Jannah ordered an egg sandwich. Because there was no one in line at the counter, I went it alone. I approached the counter and looked at the food displayed.

When I saw the last slice of strawberry cake, I couldn't help but smile. Strawberry is my favorite, so my eyes light up.

"Miss, how much is this strawberry cake?" I inquired, still staring at the cake.

"80 pesos, Ma'am," I was surprised to hear the price.

 That cake is so pricey!

I quickly took my wallet from my bag and began counting. Twenty... Fifty-eight, fifty-nine...

What the hell? I hadn't finished counting when I noticed the strawberry cake had vanished from its container.

I approached the employees and inquired.

"Miss, where is your strawberry cake? I'm going to buy it! Where is it?" I frowned as I waited for her response.

"Sorry, Ma'am, but the strawberry cake you want has already been purchased."

Oh my God, who can afford it?

"Who did you purchase?"

I can't wait to find out who the idiot who stole my strawberry cake.

"It's Sir Kian, Ma'am."

"What?!"

My cheeks suddenly became hot, and I thought I was going to explode with rage. My strawberry cake! Arghhh! Get ready for my man!

I stormed out of the counter and looked for Kian. Hey, don't worry, I'm just looking for him because I want to talk to him.

I looked around the canteen and found what I was looking for. He was standing near the window, eating my strawberry cake. Let's see if you can still eat it.

Because I was annoyed, I took the glass on the table next to me and threw it behind him.

"Hey, man! Why did you eat my strawberry cake? I had it first!"

I got closer to him and stared at him with both of my eyes. I don't care if there are a lot of students in the canteen staring at us. This man irritates me greatly. He didn't even look at me and just kept eating my strawberry cake.

"That's mine, I said!"

Haay, thank you, and he stopped eating, but he looked at me blankly.

"If you don't want me to embarrass you, get off!"

The coldness of his voice felt like it was poured on me, as if one small mistake would cause me to die. No! I should not be affected or afraid of him.

I stood up properly and met his gaze.

"I don't care if you're rich or not, Mr. Kian. You can't treat someone like this! We all pay the same tuition here, so don't act like you own the Academy!" My nose is burning with rage and annoyance.

"Do you even know who you're talking to, Ms. Duffel? Do you really know who I am? Who or what am I at the Academy where you study? If you didn't already know. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Kian Thayre Ice, and I'm the sole heir to the Ice Academy you're standing in. In a nutshell, I own this Academy."

What?! Is he the sole proprietor of this institution? I'm done! Why have I had such bad luck?! That's why he is stronger than all the teachers because he is the sole owner of the school?

I answered him because I don't want to be embarrassed.

"I don't care if you're the heir; just give me my strawberry cake!"

"Okay, then! Is this what you're looking for?"

He took the strawberry cake and walked over to the garbage can.

"This is your cake, take it!"

He threw the cake in the trash and then approached me, making me nervous once more.

"Guys! Did you know this girl referred to me as chonggo?"

You scumbag! I'm going to kill you! I wanted to yell that at him, but I felt dumbfounded.

"This girl just confessed to me that she likes me."

What I heard made my eyes widen.

"Hey, jerk! I'm never going to like someone like you!"

Because of what he said, I felt embarrassed in front of the students.

"Is what Prince Kian said about that girl liking him true? What a scumbag! When she dresses, she is neither beautiful nor attractive."

After hearing the students' murmurs and laughter, I felt like I'd been punched repeatedly.

Because of shame and annoyance, my tears suddenly fell down on my cheeks.

"What? You're happy now?! Are you pleased to see me humiliated like this? Eat what you said cause I'll never like you! Do you understand why? Because your behavior is so repulsive! Yes, you're wealthy, but your attitude stinks!" I ran out of the canteen, crying, after saying that.

Many students were embarrassed by the thickness of his face when he spoke. I ignored the students I encountered. I simply ran to the back of the building, where I always go when I need to be alone.

Why are the wealthy so obnoxious? They have a bad attitude and overestimate themselves.

I used to hold a grudge against people like them. Rich people are to blame for my mother's death. We were very poor at the time, and we couldn't afford to buy medicine for my mother's heart disease. We tried to borrow money from our wealthy neighbors, but all I got were insults and belittlement, so I've changed my attitude toward and treatment of the wealthy ever since.

Mom would not have died that day if they had allowed us to borrow money. As I recall what happened to Mom, it's as if thousands of needles pierced my heart again and again. You now understand why I despise Kian.

I didn't realize I'd already arrived at my destination. There are lush and tall rows of flowers and plants behind the building. It had a small path that led to the center of the garden, where I sat crying nonstop. Because it is quite large, four people can fit in the middle.

When I was looking for Jannah, I came across this location. I initially thought it was dangerous here because there might be a snake, but it turned out not to be. The surrounding energy lifts one's spirits and helps to solve problems.

I transformed my bag into a pillow. I lay down and gazed at the sky. When I remembered our earlier scene in the canteen, I held my breath. What happened to Jannah? Because of what had happened, she had vanished from my mind.

I've only been in school for a few months, but my life already seems to be in hell. I took a look at my watch. It's five o'clock in the afternoon, so I know all of the students have gone home, with the exception of other years with evening classes. I was also assured that Jannah was looking for me.

Because she is unfamiliar with this location. Only I am aware. I just closed my eyes and listened to the birds and insects around me chirp. The insects began to make noise because it was going to be dark.

I felt a little better after I stopped crying. The fresh air also feels good. Reduces stress and improves mood.

Until I didn't realize I was sleeping. When my phone vibrated, I was distracted and quickly got up. I took it from my bag pocket and checked to see who had texted. I was taken aback when I discovered 10 missed calls from Jannah and 3 missed calls from an unknown number.

I opened the message from Jannah.

"Sha, where have you gone? I was concerned about you. I just went home because I assumed you'd already arrived. Mom is worried about you, Ayisha, where are you? "

"Go home, Sha, we're worried you'll get hurt." I hurriedly stood up and shook off the grass clinging to my jeans, then hurriedly put on the bag and ran towards the front of the school to get out of the Academy.

When my phone vibrated again, I abruptly came to a halt. When I looked at it, I noticed that the unknown number had messaged me.

"Where have you gone, Gorilla? Go home because your cousin and mother are very worried."

Who texted me? Gorilla! who? I? What a jerk!

"Just so you know, I'm not a gorilla! Who are you?!"

I quickly pressed the send button, but it didn't go through because I didn't have any load. Arghhh! Fuck! Haiist!

What?! It's 6:30pm! This enraged me against Jannah and Auntie. I grabbed my bag and dashed towards the gate. I had no trouble finding my way because the entire Academy was illuminated.

I run quickly so that I can get out as soon as possible. Fortunately, the higher year is still in session, so the gate has not yet closed. When I get home, I'm sure it'll tear me up again.

I spelled the way to the house as soon as I got out of the gate. Because the light from the main highway does not reach the alley where I'm going to turn, it's a little dark. Lord, I pray that no bad people come across me...I'm hoping...

"Ahhh," I screamed as someone unexpectedly touched me, and it felt like something sharp was on my side; why am I so unlucky today?

"Don't scream unless you want me to kill you," he says, burying the sharp object in my side.

"Don't do it, brother. Please be merciful to me. I have a family waiting for me to return home and I have no money. I'm just poor, brother," I sobbed, but the man didn't seem to care.

I want to scream but I'm too scared. Is this the end of my life?

"Alright, go!" he said.

Am I going to die? I kept my eyes open, but nothing came to mind. I don't see anyone else besides the two of us. My entire body is trembling.

I just keep walking while praying. Lord, don't let me die when...

"Ayisha, go!"

When I saw the two men fighting, I was stunned and couldn't move. Who could he be? I tried to get closer to them and stare at his face, but...

"Run right now!"

I immediately ran away from them as a result of his yelling.

Wait! Wait! That exactly sounds like Kian's voice! What?! But... I suppose it's impossible if it's him! Come on, Ayisha! What if that man is killed? I'll be held accountable if something bad happens to the man who helped me. Gosh! No! No! I have to go back.

I started by looking for something I could use. Finally, I discovered a piece of wood. I can now put it to use. I dashed to the side of the broken pier and grabbed the piece of wood. I'm coming! Please wait for me!

My heart is pounding in my chest. What is going on with them?

When I arrived, I noticed that the man was trying to kill the person who helped me. I dashed up to them and smacked the man's back with the piece of wood I was holding with all my might.

"Ahhh!" he screamed in agony. I was about to hit him again when he bolted.

I let go of the woods and walked up to the man.

"Are you all right? Are you hurt? "

I held him and helped him stand; I hope that man didn't stab him.

"What brought you back? Didn't I tell you to run?"

Wait a minute... his voice... sounds like... sounds like...
