Third Person Point of View

After that, there was nothing but furious growls and punches and kicks. Even the air was thick with the metallic scent of blood, overpowering the fresh smell of the jungle after the rain and the deep scents of black coffee and fine leather.

Soon, Eash and Ezra shifted to their massive wolf forms and began to tear into each other with a ferocity that shook the walls. It was the first time Riley saw Amarok and Adolphus. They were powerful and gorgeous. The dominant Alpha traits in them were clearly shown in their beautiful fur and eyes. Enya was screaming in Riley's mind; she wanted to stop these extraordinarily handsome wolves from fighting and do something else with her.

But Riley had no peace of mind to admire their handsomeness. She stood frozen in the doorway, her hands clutching the wall, because her knees were almost giving up.

This was it.

The last thread of her foolish hopes, that they will understand, accept their mistake, ask for forgiveness and cha

Third Person Point Of ViewRiley stayed calm and collected until David finished his explanation. Then she answered indifferently.“I don’t want to meet my mother’s pack.”David’s brows knitted together in surprise. He hadn’t expected this answer. He had thought she would be overjoyed to see them.“If they didn’t want my mother,” Riley continued, her voice steady but cold, “then I don’t want them now.”“Riley…” David wiped his face with his palm. No matter how patient he usually was, this girl always managed to push him to the edge of losing control.“You don’t understand this. They regret not looking after your mother. They didn’t even know of your existence, just like me; that’s why they didn’t look for you. Don’t they deserve a chance to at least see you once? Just once. Let them look at you. Let them hear your voice.”“I don’t owe them that,” Riley replied.“Besides, I don’t even look like their daughter anymore,” she added quietly.David sighed, clearly restraining his impatience.

Third Person Point of ViewAfter David made his request, the foreign executive looked utterly confused and trapped.Slowly and hesitantly, he turned to Eash and Ezra, silently asking them to comply, without making a scene. He had no intention of offending the President.Eash and Ezra stiffened. They had no intention of letting David anywhere near Riley. They had worked tirelessly, endured so much, just to help her heal. Slowly, she was recovering, but if she talked to David now, he could destroy everything with just a few words. He was that cunning and ruthless. However, the meeting with the foreign executives was also extremely important. They had worked hard on this deal for weeks. If it succeeded, their company would open a branch in a foreign country, a massive achievement for a company that wasn’t even three years old. Creating a scene here by refusing the President access to his daughter could jeopardise the entire negotiation. Worse, it could destroy the deal completely, with n

  • I Have Two Wolves and Three Mates   194. I hope you can understand my concerns as a father.

Third Person Point of ViewEven at the office, Eash and Ezra didn’t want to leave Riley out of their sight even for a second. Whenever one of them had to attend meetings outside the office, the other would always stay with her.And when both of them were required to attend such meetings, Riley went with them. She always became part of the support team that accompanied the CEOs.Like today. The meeting was held at a garden hotel, a formal business dinner with representatives from a foreign company. After several rounds of discussions at Eash and Ezra’s company, this was the farewell dinner before the delegates returned to their country.Eash and Ezra sat across from the foreign executives, discussing and finalising decisions. Riley stayed nearby, assisting and supervising the serving team, making sure the foreign executives were well taken care of.Riley felt normal, almost relaxed. This wasn’t the first time she had attended such an event, so she was used to it now. She actually liked

  • I Have Two Wolves and Three Mates   193. First therapy session.

Third Person Point of ViewRiley’s first therapy session felt strange. Not painful. Not fearful. Just strange.Talking about all her vulnerabilities with a stranger… well, it truly felt unfamiliar. But the psychiatrist Leo had brought her to was kind and gentle. She was middle-aged, calm, and carried herself with quiet confidence, the kind that came from experience and knowing exactly what she was doing. She didn’t push Riley to talk. She didn’t pry. She simply listened patiently, even when Riley spoke only in fragments, pieces scattered here and there. Even when it was clear that Riley was consciously avoiding certain parts, the woman never pressured her. That patience became Riley’s greatest relief during that strange session. So, in fragments, Riley talked.About the suffocation. About the urge to flee. About her demons. About the fear that she would become like her mother. About dying once and still not feeling safe in her second life. She left out parts about her mates betraying

  • I Have Two Wolves and Three Mates   192. I’ll let you all do whatever is needed.

Third Person Point of ViewThe three dominant alphas looked at each other, their hearts beating wildly.A relief that had been absent for a long time overflowed in their chests.Their mate still loved them! She couldn’t imagine a life without them! What could be more wonderful than that?“But… with these urges I have, I become illogical, irresponsible,” Riley continued.“I run barefoot in winter. I jump out of windows. I tried to drug my best friend, thank the Moon Goddess it didn’t work. I always make my parents cry because I am getting distance from them.... I… I actually hate the kind of idiotic monster I’m slowly becoming.”The room fell into a painful silence. Finally, Riley looked at her mates, meeting their eyes one by one, and admitted the truth.“I think… I think I need help. Real help…” Her voice trembled.“Otherwise, I’m afraid I’ll do something even more stupid… even more dangerous. I’m really scared…”Kimberley held Riley’s hand tightly, tears flowing freely down her chee

  • I Have Two Wolves and Three Mates   191. Confession…

Third Person Point of ViewFor a long moment, Riley sat silently on the edge of her mother's bed.Her mates lingered nearby, but none of them dared to speak. They were simply watching her with deep worry in their eyes. And there was Kimberley, standing at the door, her gaze filled with sadness. Poor, innocent Kimberley, who had nothing to do with this tangled mess but still suffered because of her friendship with Riley…Riley took a deep breath and finally spoke.“Can… can all of you come near? I have something to say…”The four of them immediately stepped forward, forming a small, tense circle around her. Riley reached out and took Kimberley’s hand first.“I’m sorry,” she murmured. Her voice cracked, tears overflowing from her eyes.“Kim… I am… so… sorry…”Riley hugged her tightly and buried her face in Kimberley’s chest.“Riley… honey… what...?” Kimberley asked, bewildered, holding Riley’s trembling body close.“For drugging your coffee,” Riley managed to say at last. The confession
