CHAPTER SIXTEEN

XAVIER

The waiter appears as soon as we sit down. My mom introduced us. Sapphire, the girl, goes to my school. I guess that's where I know her from, I must have seen her around. She's not very talkative which suits me just fine. The moms take control of the discussion and we just add to it whenever they remember we were there.

After eating, we move to the golf course where my mum practically shoves me on Sapphire while she plays golf with her mum. We don't talk much, Sapphire is obviously a very shy girl. I try to make her comfortable and talk about mundane things that make me want to shoot myself in the foot.

Finally, the hell is over and I'm back in the comfort of the car.

"What did you think of Sapphire?" My mum asks, as soon as the car door is shut.

I shrug. I don't think anything of her. If it wasn't for this discussion, she would already be wiped from memory.

"Don't shrug at me, you're taking her to the founders’ ball."

"Am I?" I ask.

"You are, so tomorrow at school I want you to be nice to her, sit with her at lunch, kiss her, have sex with her in the principal’s office, I don't care. I just need you to make her feel like she's the prettiest girl in the world."

"You're pimping me out now?"

"Call it that if you must, I need it done. Her mother insists that taking her to the ball is the only condition she'll agree to back me on the gallery board. She doesn't care about her daughters virtue, why should I?"

More things I don't care about.

"No, sorry. I'm not doing it. Dad has tried, he knows it won't work. I'll gladly take a beating."

She laughs. "You're as crude as your father. I don't need to have you beaten to get what I want. I just need to tell your father the right thing."

Grandpa. She's knows that's the only reason I'll do anything these days.

"So, just take her to the founders’ ball? I don't need to pretend to like her or be her boyfriend right?"

"If being her boyfriend makes me chairman of the gallery then that's what you'll do. Seduce that freak, if you must."

"You're a horrible human being, you know that right?"

She ignores me and starts typing away at her phone. I ask her to drop me at Camden's house so I can get my car. Her driver drops me in front of the gate before driving away. I stare at the gate for a few minutes before deciding that I don't want to go in.

I walk for a while then hitch a taxi for Rain's house. It's late and as usual, I stay on the other side of the street and watch the house for her father. Good, he's out again today. I cross the street and knock.

She rolls her eyes when she opens the door to find me outside. I smile because she doesn't even know that her face has removed all the depressing thoughts going through my head.

"At this point, I should give you a key." She says.

I shrug and close the door behind me. "That'll probably be easier for the both of us."

"Did you drive today?"

"No, I told you I’ve never driven here."

She nods and goes back into her room. I follow her and see that she's on her desk doing homework.

"I'm busy, I didn't know you were coming." She says.

"It's fine. I'll just watch you."

She turns her head and gives me a look. "That's very creepy, Xavier."

I fall on the bed and prop a pillow under my arm so I can watch her work. I said it as a way to annoy her but I soon find out that watching her concentrate on algebra and biting her lips when she's stuck is a fucking turn on.

"Can I use your bathroom?" I ask.

She nods without looking at me. I leave her room and go to the bathroom to take a piss. Because I'm a big snoop, I look in the medicine cabinet after I finish. There's nothing interesting in it. Just Tylenol and some joint cream. I'm about to close it when something catches my eye. I move the joint cream and find something that causes blood to rush to my dick.

I take it and walk back to her room. I place the item on her desk and wait for her to acknowledge it.

"Is that yours?" I ask when she doesn’t look at it.

She drops her pen and finally looks at it. She rolls her eyes and shakes her head at me.

"I'm the only female in this house, what do you think?"

Rain has birth control. That's so fucking hot. I was joking the other morning but right now, I want to be inside her with no condoms. I've never wanted anything more in my life. She goes back to doing her homework like her birth control pills aren’t right there.

"So it's yours?"

"Yes it's mine. It's for my period, what do you think it's for?"

She stops writing and looks up sharply at me. She sees the look in my eye and shakes her head.

"No, Xavier. Don't even think about it."

"Too late, it's the only thing I'm thinking about."

I pull her up and kiss her. She breaks the kiss so she can try and talk sense into me.

"Xavier, I need to you to think with your up brain for a second."

"And I just need you, fucking bad."

I place her hand on my dick and she bites her lips and closes her eyes. I bend my head to try and kiss her again and she puts a hand to my chest stopping me.

"Don't get me pregnant, Xavier."

"I won't, I promise."

She mutters something about regret and pulls me down for a kiss. This right here is perfect.
