Liam's POV

The first decline comes on a Tuesday.

It is polite, professionally worded, and signed by someone named Bertrand Lacroix, who is apparently the board chair of Bellamy Inc and who writes with the careful courtesy of a man delivering a rejection on behalf of someone who does not wish to be identified as the person doing the rejecting.

Thank you for your interest in a strategic partnership with Bellamy Inc. At this time, the company is not seeking external acquisitions or partnership arra

Pardon me for the late reply. I took your comment very seriously and it led to me doing major edits and rewrites of several chapters from the very beginning of the book. So, thank you very much for catching that for me. I genuinely appreciate your support and thank you for giving this book a chance.

Pardon me, I'm a numbers loving person and the maths don't fit: if they were born in February to the moving on March is only a month not 4 complete months, or they were born very premature in late November or early December? Very nice story so far!

  • I Left Broken and Fat, I Came Back His Boss With Triplets   CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-ONE: The Clashing of Iron

Emma’s POVThe freezing mist clings to the iron bars of the villa gates, turning the cold air thick and heavy.I do not step past the stone threshold. I stand on the steps of my courtyard, my ivory wool coat wrapped tightly around me, my chin lifted, watching the two men on the wet cobblestones of Rue de Boulainvilliers.Arthur’s chest heaves with a furious, ragged breath. The yellow streetlamp light glints off his gold signet ring... the ring of the Carson empire, a symbol that used to terrify boardrooms from Century City to London."You're sick, Liam," Arthur snarls, his voice laced with venom and desperate disbelief. "Look at you! You're standing in the street like a street beggar! You threw away Carson Holdings, you let your mother turn the board against me, and for what? For a woman who won't even let you through her front door!"Liam doesn't blink. He doesn't flinch. He steps even closer to his father, his broad frame completely obstructing Arthur's view of the gate. His dark co

Emma’s POVThe morning after the Haussmann preview, the international press coverage is a unanimous landslide.Le Figaro calls Bellamy Inc. "the new crown jewel of French eco-luxury." The Financial Times publishes a front-page analysis praising our Liechtenstein foundation model and Lyon supply chain, declaring Arthur Carson’s legal maneuvers "a costly, miscalculated failure."Inside my private office at Place Vendôme, the atmosphere is electric. Phone lines are jammed with wholesale inquiries from Tokyo, Milan, and New York.Jean-Luc steps into my office at ten in the morning, holding a fresh stack of confirmed purchase orders. "Ms. Bellamy, our international pre-orders for the spring collection have officially passed eighteen million euros. The Lyon mills are operating three shifts a day to keep up with demand.""Ensure the quality control protocols at the Lyon facilities remain absolute, Jean-Luc," I instruct, signing the master distribution releases. "Speed means nothing if a sing

  • I Left Broken and Fat, I Came Back His Boss With Triplets   CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED NINETEEN: The Eve of Haussmann

Emma’s POVThe executive floor at Place Vendôme smells of roasted coffee beans, crisp parchment, and freshly steamed silk swatches.Outside my floor-to-ceiling windows, the morning light glints off the bronze column in the center of the square. Inside, the energy is electric. Assistants move with fast, purposeful strides across the marble corridors, carrying garment bags and invitation proofs. The global fashion press has officially turned its focus toward Paris, and Bellamy Inc. is sitting directly at the center of the stage.Jean-Luc steps into my glass-walled office, holding two leather folders embossed with the gold insignias of Printemps and Galeries Lafayette. His face is flushed with victory."The senior purchasing directors from both department stores signed the final display contracts twenty minutes ago, Ms. Bellamy," Jean-Luc announces, setting the folders on my desk. "Not only are our wholesale orders fully locked, but they have assigned Bellam

  • I Left Broken and Fat, I Came Back His Boss With Triplets   CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED SEVENTEEN: The Lyon Inspection

Emma’s POVThe early morning train from Paris to Lyon glides smoothly south across the French countryside, the autumn landscape blurring into a streak of gold and deep green behind the glass window of our private first-class cabin.I sit across from Jean-Luc, a thick portfolio of production schedules and fabric tests spread across the dark mahogany table between us."The spinning facilities in Lyon have already processed seventy percent of our raw silk inventory for the spring line," Jean-Luc says, tapping a logistics report. "The mill directors are eager to show you the new weaving looms. Since the underlying debt was restructured under the Swiss covenant, their operating margins have doubled.""Good," I say, taking a slow sip of my black coffee. "I want to see the organic dye vats first. If the color consistency shifts even by half a shade across the production runs, the entire European rollout loses its cohesion.""The master dyer has guaranteed full compliance with your original s

  • I Left Broken and Fat, I Came Back His Boss With Triplets   CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED SIXTEEN: The Ground We Stand On

Emma’s POVThe air inside three thousand square feet of raw, historical retail space smells of carved oak, fresh plaster, and the cool limestone of Boulevard Haussmann.High arched display windows look out onto one of the grandest shopping avenues in Paris. Above us, restored nineteenth-century gilded moldings frame a vaulted ceiling where crystal chandeliers hang wrapped in protective canvas. The floor is a sprawling expanse of polished white marble, dotted with architectural blueprints and fabric swatches."The main runway display will sit right here in the center rotunda, Ms. Bellamy," Marc, my lead retail architect, says. He unrolls a heavy paper schematic across a wooden sawhorses table. "We can house the entire Lyon silk collection under the natural skylight."I trace the outline of the rotunda on the blueprint with my finger. "Make sure the lighting fixtures don't alter the natural tone of the organic dyes, Marc. The eco-silk line needs to look identical under sunlight and even
