The most handsome man I have ever seen

[ Denise's POV ]

I was still on my journey pedaling with my bicycle to the food company. According to my research the food company I'll be applying for as an intern is owned by a very wealthy billionaire and he is the CEO of Starlight food company which is very famous for its food and food productions.

I tried finding out about the CEO of Starlight food company but there was no picture of him on the Internet. The images in his I*******m account were just different kinds of images of dishes and the pictures of his company. The only thing about him in his account was his name, which happens to be Mavis. C. Brown.

I didn't bother about his pictures because who cares about him? I just want to fulfill my dream of becoming a popular chef and be able to support my mother and send my sister to school, without so much difficulty.

And according to the rumors I have heard from Bella, She said the CEO of Starlight food company who happens to be Mavis is one heck of a rude and arrogant man and to top it all, very ruthless too, who's ready to do anything just to make sure he's above others, or gets what he wants.

His character is the kind I hate the most. I might be poor, but I don't allow people to step on me. Those classmates of mine from high school can testify to it.

They dare not try to bully me because of my poor status. I know how to stand up for myself and that's one thing my mom loves about me.

And I'm praying so hard that if my luck shines and I get to work in Starlight food company, I should never come across Mavis. He might be the CEO of the company, but if he tries shit with me, I might just give him what he asked for.

Nevertheless, the ride to Starlight food company was smooth. I had woken up early just so I wouldn't see the busy roads of America.

"Sis, isn't it too early to go for the interview?" My sister asked me when she looked at the time and saw it was just 5am and I told her the previous night that I had an interview with Starlight food company at 8am.

I looked at my sister and said. "A stitch in time saves nine" And she looked at me not understanding what I meant.

"Just go back to sleep and don't mind me" I said to her. And within a few seconds she was back to sleep. She will have been preparing for school by now, but her school is on holidays and as such, she had all the time in the world to sleep.

My mom usually works throughout the night and comes back home the following morning and in order not to stress her out, I did the entire house chores, prepared breakfast for both my mother and Angela.

I was done having my bath and prepared to leave, but Angela was still sleeping, so I just kissed her and left the house. I was the happiest person on earth when I dashed to the road and saw it was smooth and free from moving cars and motorcycles.

"Denise" I heared someone call my name. I halted my bicycle and turned behind me to see the person who had called me and it happened to be Grandma. Lilia.

She's not actually my grandma, I call her Grandma because she's old and having lost her only daughter and grandson in a motor accident, she considers me as her granddaughter.

I looked at my broken wrist watch and it was just 6:30am. "I have lots of time before the interview" I said before coming down from my bicycle.

I packed it in the safe side of the road and went to meet Grandma. Lilia. "How are you doing Denise?" She said in low voice. She was getting really old and as such, she didn't have the voice to speak out loudly.

I smiled warmly at her and said. "I'm fine grandma. Lilian, Why're you standing alone on the road side?" I asked her.

"I'm trying to cross to the other side of the road, but I'm so scared" Grandma. Lilia said and I could see her hands shaking.

There was no car moving on the road since it was still so early, but Grandma. Lilia got traumatized about crossing the road alone, after her daughter and grandson died in a motor accident.

I smiled and held her hand. "Don't worry Grandma. Lilia, I'll help you cross to the other side of the road" I said and I could easily tell she was so happy about it.

This is one of the reasons she always calls me her granddaughter, because I was always ready to help her.

I helped her cross to the other side of the road, holding her hand tightly. After making sure she was able to go inside the supermarket, I crossed back to where my bicycle was waiting for me.

Grandma. Lilia might be old, but she's still working. Having no family of her own, she'd have to work for herself and I do pity her a lot. That's why I don't hesitate to help her anytime she needs it, since I can't help her with money.

I was just about to go to my bicycle, when a Mercedes Benz car came out from an alley and hit my bicycle. The car was white in color and expensive too, but who cares about its beauty, the jerk in the car just hit the bicycle my mom struggled to buy without even halting the car.

My eyes raged in indignation when I saw the broken handle of my bicycle. For years I didn't let even a scratch find itself on the bicycle and now someone just broke the handle of it, it was something to be mad about.

I look at the white Mercedes Benz and it hasn't gotten far from me. I pulled off the shoe I was wearing, aiming at the car.

"You jerk!!" I yelled, throwing my shoe toward the car and being good at targeting things, my shoe landed perfectly at the back of the car's windshield and I smiled satisfactorily.

The car halted and I waited patiently for the person in the car to come out from the car. That's what I wanted anyways, whoever he or she is must apologize, I thought, crimping my fingers.

The door of the car opened and I almost lost balance when a handsome man came down from the car. Handsome was an understatement, he was beautiful, so beautiful like an angel.

He's indeed the most handsome man I have ever seen in my entire life. And as he walked towards me, I could feel my heart beating loudly with every step he made.
