The moment Ashley shouted, Everyone started gushing into the room both the securities and servants. They wanted to see the intruder who dared to enter the Elrod's mansion.

But once they came in, they all stood still…

Tony went forward to help the young man she pushed so hard to rise to his feet.

" Are you okay? Tony asked while lending his hands for him to stand up.

" What are you doing?! He is an intruder! Aren't you going to arrest him or something?!

Ashley gasped, she didn't apprehend while they were not doing anything.

"Seems you got it wrong ma'am " Tony had already helped the young man to his feet but he still held his waist, the push earlier hit him hard.

"Who is he and what is he doing in my room and on the bed! Ashley folded her hands around her chest. " is he a pervert or something "

The other servants who stood there started murmuring and turning their gazes at each other.

" Ma'am, you are…… Tony tried to explain.

"Enough! The young man raised his hand. " I will take it from here" He demanded and moved closer to Ashley.

He was shirtless and it showed off his abs, while he shifted near Ashley, she found herself drooling all over him. She had never been this close to a Greek god! His eyes, his lips, his pointed nose, it was giving everything!

"God, I'm going to have a heart attack for a pervert! She said those words in her mind and maintained composure.

"I'm Jason and you? Jason stretched out his hands for a formal introduction.

"Ash… Alexis, yes Alexis " she spoke out, almost confusing the name she was given.

"I don't care who you are, why were you lying on my bed? Ashley adjoined, without bothering to return the handshake. There hasn't been any explanation or apology yet.

"He is your husband" A voice came from the back and everyone turned their heads. It was Mr Reyes Elrod, he rolled his wheelchair in.

"What?! " Ashley wasn't sure if he heard him clearly.

"Yes, you heard me right, " Reyes uttered.

"But…. Ashley made a move to defend the fact that he wasn't the one she wedded.

"No buts! You are betrothed to him." Reyes declared and spun his wheelchair and left the room and Tony and the other servants followed.

Ashley appeared stunned, she didn't know if she should feel delighted or sad.

But learning that she wasn't betrothed to an old crippled man but a handsome dude made her blush without even knowing.

"You better apologise for labelling me a pervert earlier" Jason spoke out while he sat down on the bed.

" About that, ….. " Ashley also sat " I'm sorry, cool now right? Ashley questioned while she stared into his cute grey eyes.

"Yeah sure " Jason grinned, he emerged as a less troublesome man.

"But why didn't you show up at the wedding? Ashley got curious when everywhere became silent.

"I couldn't make it, the flight was delayed." Jason spun around to face her, he was still shirtless. Even though it was their first time meeting, Everything about him was so cute.

Ashley couldn't get enough of it. But she swallowed hard and asked him.

"Haven't you been in the city? While looking away from him, she didn't want to continue staring; she might leave a hole in his body.

"It's a long story, but yes I haven't been around " Jason gently answered. " but you pushed me hard earlier, it hurt like hell. You should consider giving me a massage" Jason added and touched his waist.

"Whose fault was it? You scared me " Ashley folded her arms.

"You held me tight earlier, you were drooling all over, right? Jason touched his hair exuding a magnificent Aura.

"Yes, I mean no " Ashley didn't know when that word came out of her mouth but indeed she admired him.

Jason grinned "You even kissed my forehead, I was shocked you know, that's sexual harassment" he pointed at her and jokingly said.

Ashley blushed and Jason seemed pleased to see her smile. A knock came at their door, and Ashley went over to open the door.

"Ma'am, sir, Mr Reyes wants you to come down" The maiden who stepped in and interrupted their conversation conveyed her message.

Jason has not been in Berlin city for long, he was the only son of his parents. He was sent away for protection when he turned 15.

But his father wanted him to come home and take over the company as the CEO. He didn't waste time getting a wife for him.

On the day of the wedding, Jason was on a flight and that caused the delay prompting Reyes to stand in, but without proper procedures. What mattered to him the most was the wedding certificate.

Ashley and Jason were seated at the dining table with Reyes.

They were served with a lot of dishes and Ashley didn't even know where to start.

But she took her cutlery and started devouring each meal, salivating on each bolus.

When Jason watched her, he didn't realise a smile left his lips. Was she always that hungry?

"Jason, you both will go and get your marriage certificate today," Reyes instructed while cutting his steak.

" Alright Dad" Jason took a glass of pineapple juice and sipped down.

"You would resume your duty in the company immediately. Alexis, you don't need to work, you can stay here and take care of things. Jason would provide anything you need " Reyes beamed a smile and continued with his meal.

Ashley was taken aback by that decision so she decided to fight for herself.

"I'm sorry but I will have to oppose that, I would like to work, I'm already working" Reyes became a bit amazed, Even Jason.

They heard from their investigation Alexis didn't want to do anything but should be treated like a princess. Was she different from the Alexis they asked about?

"you are working? weren't you meant to be in law school?

Reyes inquired while his eyes stayed glued at her.

Now Ashley had to cover that up, Even Jason gazed at her.

She slowly brought down her cutlery to the table.

"I gave up law school, I just work part-time and I Love it" She replied, hoping for that to cover whatever curiosity they had.

Though Reyes wasn't satisfied, he felt the investigator he sent might be wrong.

Maybe the investigation wasn't right.

" Sure you can" Reyes didn't plan on opposing that.

"Thanks" Ashley took a glass of water to sip.

"And I want you both to give me an heir soon! Reyes announced and Ashley choked on the water she was sipping.

Her cheeks flushed and she was instantly hot.
