Another SLAP!!!

Everyone froze...

Nobody moved. Nobody breathed. The only sound was the faint breathing and gasps of everyone.

It was as if time itself had paused, capturing the moment when Rachael's hand connected with Veronica's face, and the entire set had to witness it.

Martin, the assistant director, was the first to break out of the stupor. He clapped his hands sharply, his voice echoing.

"CUT! CUT! CUT!"

The sound snapped the crew back to life. Technicians shifted uncomfortably, makeup artists exchanged wide-eyed looks, and even the cameramen lowered their equipment slightly, unsure if they'd just recorded an acting breakthrough or a case of outright cruelty.

Veronica swayed slightly where she stood. Her hand still hovered near her cheek, as if afraid to touch it. The red mark was already forming, stark against her pale skin, a bruise-in-the-making captured in high definition.

Her lips trembled. Not with rehearsed emotion, but with the raw, involuntary quiver of

  • I Married His Enemy: Return Of The Forgotten Princess    Love Making After Returning

The room was hushed, save for the uneven breaths they shared, their lips brushing in soft, lingering kisses that seemed to stretch time itself. Cassie’s fingers skimmed up the back of Nikolai’s neck, threading into his dark hair, tugging him closer as if she couldn’t bear a single inch of space between them. For months after her return, their marriage had been a fragile balance... bound by circumstances, shadowed by pain, guarded by walls neither dared to break. Yet now, in this fragile, beautiful moment, those walls crumbled piece by piece. Nikolai kissed her again, slower this time, savoring, tasting, memorizing. His hand cupped her cheek, his thumb stroking her skin as though she were porcelain, though the heat in his body raged far from gentle. “Cassie…” He whispered her name like a vow, like a man standing on the edge of something terrifying and magnificent. His forehead pressed against hers, his breath shaky. “Are you sure? I don’t want to take advantage of your--” She sil

The silence between them stretched, heavy, intoxicating. It wasn’t the kind of silence that asked for space... it was the kind that begged to be broken, the kind that carried too much longing, too much restraint, until every second felt like torture. “Cassie…” His voice came low, a warning, but also a plea. His throat felt tight, his control fraying with each heartbeat. Cassie tilted her head, eyes shining with something fragile yet determined. “Don’t look at me like I’ve lost my mind. I know exactly what I’m doing. I really want you.” He swallowed hard. “You don’t understand. If I--” He stopped, running a hand roughly through his hair as if trying to ground himself. “If I touch you, I won’t be able to stop. And I don’t want to hurt you.” “You won’t hurt me,” she whispered. “I believe you. And now, Nikolai, I don’t need protection… I need you... please.” Her words tore through him, dismantling every defense he had built. He looked down at her, his eyes darkening, the battle clear

Nikolai padded silently through the hall to the bedroom, unbuttoning the cuffs of his shirt as he went. The heaviness of the day sat on his shoulders, but a hot shower and a few hours of sleep seemed the only cure. His hand reached for the bedroom door, already imagining the soothing relief of water cascading over him. Nikolai opened the bedroom door, expecting the familiar stillness of a dimly lit room. But instead, his entire body went rigid. The sight before him stopped him dead in his tracks. Cassie sat on the edge of their bed, her posture regal and sexy. She wasn’t in her usual pajamas or one of his oversized shirts she often stole without asking. No...tonight she wore a set of black lingerie which clung to her in ways that made his throat go dry. The soft lamp light painted her skin in warm shades of gold, her hair cascading around her shoulders, her legs crossed just enough to tease but not reveal. Nikolai froze, his body tensing as if he’d walked into an ambush.

  • I Married His Enemy: Return Of The Forgotten Princess    Nik, She's No Longer Afraid Of Him

The penthouse was unusually quiet after Cassie disappeared into the bedroom. Nikolai stayed in the living room with Rafael after he returned, and both men sat in silence at first. Rafel leaned back on the couch, his hand lazily draped over the armrest, but his eyes were sharp. He’d seen Nikolai’s expression after he had returned... controlled on the surface, but filled with restrained fury. “So,” Rafael finally broke the silence, smirking in his typical laid-back way, “are you going to thank me for babysitting your wife, or are you going to stay there brooding like an avenging angel?” Nikolai shot him a glare, though there was no real malice in it. “You think this is funny?” Rafael shrugged. “Not funny. Entertaining, maybe. You should’ve seen Raymond’s face when I stepped in. He looked like he wanted to eat Cassie alive but couldn’t decide if he should chew slowly or spit her out. Then you showed up, and he nearly lost what little pride he has left. Honestly, it was be

The drive to the penthouse was filled in silence at first. The kind of silence that wasn’t empty but comfortable. Rafael, never one to let silence stretch too long, leaned forward from the passenger seat and switched on the radio. A pop song blasted, completely out of place with the brooding energy in the car.“Really?” Nikolai muttered, his hands tightening on his lap. Even the driver was shocked. However, he kept it cool. It wasn't his place to interfere in his boss's life.Rafael shrugged with a grin. “What? We’ve had enough drama for one day. I’m setting the mood. This is what peace sounds like, my friend.”Cassie stifled a laugh, her hand covering her mouth. She glanced at Nikolai from the corner of her eye. His jaw was tight, his mask hiding most of his face, but his eyes... sharp, stormy... flicked briefly toward her, softening when they landed on her laugh. That fleeting look sent a flutter through her chest.Nikolai, having had enough of the mask, removed it and just stared

  • I Married His Enemy: Return Of The Forgotten Princess    The Hot Men Circling Cassie

The hush that followed Raymond’s retreat didn’t last long. A sharp sound of grinding teeth and fingernails digging into flesh... drew Cassie’s attention. Rachael. She stood a few paces away, her fists clenched so tightly her manicured nails bit into her palms. Her perfectly painted lips were twisted in a scowl, her eyes blazing with fury. And Cassie, for all the times she had endured Rachael’s cruelty, had never seen her quite like this... unhinged, seething, barely containing her envy. Because there it was, plain for everyone to see: three men circling Cassie. Rafael, with his easy grin and protective stance, Nikolai, with his dark, impenetrable presence, and even Raymond, though now slinking away in defeat, had once fought tooth, and nail to claim her. The crew whispered among themselves. The scene was like something out of a twisted fairytale... the heroine surrounded by princes, though one of them had long since turned into a villain. Rachael’s voice cut through the
