The day after I returned to Shine Corporation, Dad summoned me directly to the CEO's office. He said it was time for the heir to step into his role. I looked at the mountain of files and the packed schedule in front of me and felt completely overwhelmed.

"Dad, I just got back. I don't know the operations yet," I said.

"Then learn," he replied simply, pointing to the door. "You have a capable assistant. Ask her if you need anything."

The door opened, and a woman in a sharp professional suit stepped in. She had an air of quiet authority. Gold-rimmed glasses framed her sharp eyes, and her long hair was neatly tied back.

"Mr. York. I'm Larissa Hewitt, the Chief Executive Assistant assigned to you by the Chairman," she said. Her voice was calm and precise, just like her appearance. There was no extra emotion.
