Chapter 89

Isadora POV

As Golem was swept up by the revelry, I couldn't shake the feeling of isolation and sadness as I dragged my feet up the stairs to my room, I gazed at the bed, longing for solace.

But before I could even take a step toward it, strong arms enveloped me from behind, a hand covering my mouth to stifle any screams. Panic surged through me as a voice whispered urgently in my ear, "Don't scream, Isadora, please."

My heart pounded against my chest, fear gripping me as I struggled against the grip. Who was behind me, and what did they want?

The voice repeated again, and this time, it sent a jolt of surprise down my spine by its familiarity. The scent, the tone—it couldn't be anyone else.

The grip loosened, and I slowly turned around to set eyes on Eamon. Panic surged through me as I struggled against his hold, attempting to scream, but he covered my mouth just in time, pleading with desperation in his eyes.

She deserves happiness. She has been through a lot, although I believe some things that happened to her was her fault…not all, but some. I hope Eamon learns from his mistakes & finds a 2nd chance mate too. Thank you for the updates author.
