Isadora's POV:

Matamoros stood firm, refusing to beg for mercy as Eamon, amused, glanced at a Fire Wolf Pack warriors who pleaded innocence at his feet.

"Please, Alpha Eamon, it wasn't my idea. I had nothing to do with the rescue," the pack warrior begged, fear evident in his voice.

Eamon, wearing a wicked smile, shifted his gaze to Matamoros. "And what about you? Not planning to join in the pleas for mercy?" he taunted.

Matamoros, displaying rare courage, squared his shoulders with pride. "I won't apologize for doing what was right. Someone had to rescue Lisa, and since you weren't willing to do it, I had no choice."

Eamon chuckled, surprised by Matamoros's newfound boldness. "Where did you find the guts to speak so boldly to me?" he asked, genuine curiosity in his tone.

"Eamon, you can't..."

Before I could finish my sentence, Eamon sharply cut me off. "Shut up, Isadora, stay out of this."

The tension grew thicker, but to everyone's surprise, Matamoros wasn't backing down. He barked
