CHAPTER EIGHT: Game Time

“Where have you been? You were gone for days.” I raised a brow at her while crossing my arms on my chest.

“Don’t use that tone on me, young lady,” she responded in a serious tone.

Her authoritative tone silenced me as though the cat got my tongue out of a sudden. I didn’t dare to speak letting her rule over me because I felt like she had all the rights.

“I was plotting revenge on Xyrus for what he did to you.” She wiggled her brows at me.

“I don’t want to see you burn in my own hand, Gugu,” I warned broadening my eyes at her.

“I won’t hurt him. I won’t stoop in his level. I’ll just teach him a lesson, a lesson all ghosts are best at,” her lips stretched into a grin.

We head toward the school gym. I don’t have any plans on joining their game time during their vacant but Amara requested to be her substitute. I could reject her but she used the baby in her womb against me.
