Chapter 27 A Mad Dog

When I regained consciousness, I found myself lying in bed. My mother and Amara sat beside me, wiping away their tears together.

Seeing me wake up, my mother cried even more sorrowfully.

"Harper, what have you been through in these past three years? Why didn't you tell me about it?"

Amara was also crying and complaining, "Why didn't you tell us all this? Whatever you've been through, we were here to support you. Why did you suffer alone?"

At that moment, I couldn't bear it anymore and cried as I told them everything about Edwin and me.

My father never came into the room, but he heard every word I said.

Descending the stairs, he headed towards Edwin and delivered such a powerful kick that it broke two of his ribs.

Edwin screamed in pain as the men in black dragged him outside and threw him in the yard.

As I heard everything from upstairs, I looked out of the window for details. From where I stood, I saw my father's men beating Edwin mercilessly while Edwin was like a lost dog.
