Did the king commit a crime by building your own palace and giving you your privacy? Why should the papers always carry shameful news about you?"

"That is enough," the king said. "I have come to a decision. Bastian, you will marry the girl you have defiled and that is final."

Bastian laughed, "you must be joking, dad. Me, the prince, marry that disgusting, stinking pauper?

"She wasn't disgusting when you were having sex with her," the king replied. "This is not a joke and it is not up for debate. I will go ahead and fix your wedding within the week. Start getting used to becoming a husband."

The king placed one of his hands on the queen's back and said, "let's go my love."
